    up and down weight loss

    I was banded on the 8th of January and I am also having the same problem. Weight goes up and comes down. I wish I can break that 230 mark. I changed my excerise program and food intake. I have not had my first fill as of yet. I am hoping that would help move the scale again. I was going to have it today but the insurance company did not send the approval to my doctors office in time for my appointment so I got re-scheduled for next week. Any ideas would be very helpful.

    Thank you so much for this post. I was feeling really bad about this band until I read this post. I have to just wait and stick with it. It will happen for me one day too. Thanks again. You have made me feel so much better.

    Obsessed with numbers?!?!

    I am so glad that I found this thread. I have been really upset today because it has been over two weeks and my weight has not gone anywhere. It has stopped altogether it sames to me anyhow. Thank you for the up left in my spirits. I was banded on 1/8/09 and lost about 30 lbs after post op. What can I do to get it to move again. I would love to break that 230 mark for good. Thanks for listening to me.

    Anyone NOT hungry??

    I wish I can say that I am not hungry. When it gets close to meal time, I am so hungry. I don't snack in between my meals. I do excerise like about 5 to 6 times a week. I try to eat about 1000 to 1200 cals a day. My weight loss stopped when I was only eatting around 500 to 800 calories per day. So my doctor said to increase the calories. I am so upset right now that I am questioning myself because the weight loss stopped. I just can't break that 230 mark. I go for my first fill on Tuesday (2/17) of next week. I am hoping that it will move again after the fill. Any help would be nice at this time to keep me moving ahead and not look back.

    What did you eat today, Hotties??

    I am at the end phase. I can eat just about anything now. I have been eating chicken, fish, eggs, all types of vegs, potatoes most baked or mash, rice and lots of apple sauce. I eat about 1/4 cup to 1/2 of at least per three things per meal. I have had my first slice of bread today. I had no problems with it all. Of course it was toasted.
  6. Hey GlenSand, I just thought I let you know about my scale. My scale also stopped moving to. The nutiouses (?) told me after she seen what I was eating, she said to keep track of my fats and make sure I eat at least 15 to 20 carbs per meal, also for the whole day to eat about 1000 cals a day. Try looking at this. How much excerise are you getting. If you subtract the cals burnt in the excerise from the cals intake for the day and it is very low then you are not getting enough in your system. I did this and the scale is moving again. I am down about 3 lbs from the time I seen the nurtrous (?). (please from given me on that words with ? behide them they are missed spelled.)

  8. I am so glad you got this up. I just hope I am doing it right. Please let me know if you get this. I am now stopped in lossing the weight. I hit that pleatu. I am at the same weight now for about a week. I am due my first fill on the 17th and I hope it moves the scale again. How are you?

  9. I am doing wonderful. I have been back to work and still losing. I have lost about 25 to 27 lbs now. I go for my first fill on 2-17. I am worried about that because of the unknown. I am so happy that this is really working for myself and you. Keep me posted and I will keep you posted as well.

  11. I was wondering how many is getting banded in January? I am on January 8th.
  12. I started with Chicken and Fish. I also had little of Pasta and rice. Just make sure you chew chew chew and chew if you are worried. That is what I am doing. I have not tried Pork Chops or hard Veg's yet. I am still worried on them. Bread and Steak's I think I am going to wait on them for a few more weeks.

    early january banders

    I am so glad you are back to work. I have been back for two weeks now. I too can only eat one egg and I am eating about 2 oz of meat (chicken and fish only) I am worried about any other types of meats for now. Maybe after I see the doctor on Feb. 16th. I also get my first fill on that day too. Oh Boy!:cursing:

    Constipation

    My doctor told me to use benefiber. So I am using it and in one day, I was FREE.....Maybe I might have lost a little more weight! Do you think?

  16. Hey JC I was band on the 8th. What you are going through is normal. I went through it too. It does get easier everyday. Just keep with the program and you will be fine. I am now eating normal foods and my calories are staying around 500 to 600 a day now. But the weight is still coming off. Congrats! on your surgery and keep up the great work.
  17. I am the same way. I am down one size down on my jeans and dresses. I look at myself in the mirror and I can see a small difference on how the clothes are laying on me. Let's keep it up.

    early january banders

    I was band on the 8th. I am eating soft foods now, exercising at least 4 to 5 times a week. I also went back to work about a week after my surgery. I am down about 25 lbs now and one size. I am feeling really good. If I eat a egg I get full with only one. Before I could eat about three to four eggs. Wow! This is so great. I am so happy everyone is doing really good and losing the weight and see the results. Keep it up NEW YEAR HOTTIES!
  20. It has been over three weeks for me and I still don't get that hungry like I use too. I am like you bellabean. I eat three to four bites of some type of food eating very slowly and I am good to go for couple more hours.
  21. Ok it has been almost a whole month now. I am down about 25 lbs. and one size down since the 12/29/08. I had my surgery on the 8th of Jan. 09. I am still not hungry and I am eating about 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup of food per meal. I feel this might be to much. But I don't hurt at all. I have no fills at this time. I go on 2/16/09 to get my first fill. I hope it does not hurt. I am in love with my band still.
  22. It has been over one week for me and I was just wondering how everyone else is doing? I am doing great:thumbup:! I have lost about 18 lbs according to my doctor yesterday. I go back to work tomorrow but I can handle it. So again, How is everyone and their progress?
  23. I was band on the 8th of January. I am on the mushies and getting ready to move on to soft foods. I can tell you that I am still not hungry and I still need to force myself to eat. I don't eat a lot but I do eat some. I am very lucky to eat maybe a cup of food all day long.

    Can you feel your port?

    Mine is just below my big incision! About and inch or two below it! It is still sore and I can't feel it as of yet. My doctor told me where my port is and he showed me that is how I know where my port is.
