  1. So great to see you on here! I hope that you are doing very well. I've thought of you often and was wondering how you are!

  2. Thank you guys so much for your nice messages!! It really means a lot to me to hear that people are helped by reading my blog. I am sending all of you best wishes for lots of success and a really enjoyable journey through this process.

PetuniaP, I'm glad to hear that you're going to get serious about exercise and being proactive about your care. Consider writing out a plan for success. I did one, and posted it on my blog (Here is a link), and it was a huge help in keeping me focused. I kept coming back to it as I went along through this process. It was a really good tool for me.

  3. Thanks so much for your nice note! I hope all is going very well for you! :)

  4. Thanks everyone!! It makes me feel so great to read your nice comments! :) I hope you are all doing really well. :)

  5. Yes! He is just so cute, nice and helpful! Could you send me his and Dr. Rumbaut's e-mail? My address is chroniclesfrombandland@gmail.com. Would love to let them know how I'm doing and to thank them for their help!

  6. Thanks for the nice messages! Yes -- I have recipes on my blog, but not for clear liquids -- just full ones (soups). Sorry for the late response!

  7. Thanks so much, Lou! I can't believe that it's been a year already, and how many good things have happened during that time. :)

  8. Just saw your note. It's going great! I have 14 pounds to go to goal and am feeling so good about that! I bet you are feeling great too -- you have lost a lot of weight and look fantastic!

  9. Hi! Just saw the stats you posted on the "Never Again" post and wanted to say hi! Yours are the same as mine -- I was 230 at the start, having been in the 150s in 2001. 11 months post-op, and I'm back in the 160s with 14.4 to go to goal. Go band! :) Catherine

  10. Hi, Tonya! If you check out the beginning of my blog, there are photos of the hospital and a full description of how the surgery went (from my perspective). It might make your family feel better if they see and read that! Mine was worried too, but when I told them how well-respected my doctor was, and how much experience he had, they were able to relax!

    Best wishes for your success!

  11. Thank you, guys!! That is so nice to hear, and I am thrilled that you like the blog! :)

  12. Wow! You do look great!! That is really inspiring -- thank you for posting the closeups. I would think you were someone who had been thin your entire life!

I'm undecided on the implants -- I don't really have a sense of what the end result of a lift looks like.

  13. Have a safe trip! I hope that your surgery goes really smoothly and that you have a speedy recovery! Please say hi to Dr. Rumbaut and the amazingly handsome Dr. Guzman for me! (Take a photo if you aren't too shy!) ;)

  14. Hi! You are definitely just nervous! Don't worry -- the band doesn't cut off your oxygen supply! :) That's great that you are going to Dr. Ren.

  15. Thanks for your nice note! :)

  16. Hi! Just wanted to let you know how inspiring I find your stats. It sounds like you have been working with your band really well, and I hope to follow your example!

    All the best,

    Catherine

  17. Thanks! That is so nice to hear! I hope that things are going really well for you. :)

  18. Congratulations on your surgery date! I hope it goes really well! :)
