  1. I didn't go to dr. allam because i heard bad things, but my sister went to Dr. Mehta in Riverhead/patchogue (she has two offices). She was very happy. I went to Dr. Kazsmarski and Dr. Gabriel in smithtown and I am also very happy with them. If you having any questions about those doctors, just ask anytime.

  2. My surgeon had his partner who is the director of the bariatics department as his assistant during the surgery. When I asked why (pre-surgery), he said it's common practice for them to assist each other. It was very comforting to me, because both doctors came to see how I was the day after surgery (at different time of the day- one morning and one afternoon.) And my surgeon is very skilled. He has been doing it for over 20 year with over 1800 surgeries performed. So, just ask your surgeon all your questions...I'm sure their is a good explaination.

  3. Hi my names is Tannie

I live on Long Island (as far east as you can picture :))

I work in a group home for develpmentally disabled individuals and I love my job.

I like doing arts and crafts and spending time with my nephew.

I just began my weightloss journey. My surgery was 9/30...so I'm a newbie.

I began my WLS at 250LBS and I hope to get down to atleast 140LBS.

Thanks in advance to everyone for their support. You'll be seeing more of me....oh wait LESS of me. LOL:lol:

  4. I can completely identify with you because we were banded on the same day. Congratulations. I haven't sleep right either. I am sleeping in my bed though. I have about four pillow under my head and 2 under my back ...not to mention the ones on the side. I think the key po healing is movement. I have tried to walk alot around the house. Not to much though. (your body will tell you). My back is still killing me but it gets better each day.
