I'm new here and just wanted to say hey. I'm a 35yo man living wid type 2 diabetes, and after years of struggling with my weight and blood sugar, I finally decided to take a more serious step. I’m currently going through the process of getting approved for bariatric surgery but I’m trying to prepare myself mentally and physically as best I can.
Managing diabetes hasn’t been easy, especially with the ups and downs that come with it. I’ve tried different diets and workouts but I’ve reached a point where I need a reset. I'm hopeful this surgery will be that reset.
That means a lot. tnx... i’ve been reading through a few threads and this place does feel supportive which I appreciate. I know surgery isn’t a magic fix, but I’m ready to put in the work. Thanks again brother.
I’m in the middle of getting approved for surgery myself, so I’m not on the liquid diet yet but I’ve been doing a lot of reading and prep too. From what I’ve seen, a lot of people recommend broths (like chicken or bone broth), Jello (sugar free of course), and protein shakes and electrolyte drinks like Gatorade.
