  1. Okay, color me stupid, but isn't fat-free bacon, oh, I dunno, AIR? I've never heard of such an animal.
  2. Cut him off at the ass? WHAT?? Oh. Never mind. :frown:
  3. It's been a long time since I've posted on this thread. Went through a three-month plateau (interspersed with just plain not doing stuff right), but I am officially down 63.5 pounds as of this morning.
  4. Thanks to you and tap. From your mouths to God's ears, especially in this economy! That'll be two different interviews, two chances... I haven't been having troubles. Might be your internet...?
  5. Hehehe, you're NOT alone! :frown:
  6. Nothing yet. Hope all is going well. Hubby got called for another interview today... goes on Thursday. I'm hoping ONE of these suckas comes through!
  7. Egad, you'n me both! I'll do sushi and all other manner of foods, but organ meat is NOT on the menu! :frown:
  8. *snicker* :frown:
  9. So, slim, what time's dinner? *grabs fork and knife and bangs them excitedly on the table*
  10. Omg, it's SEPTEMBER! :frown: That's all.
  11. Mentally unstable nurses. Greeaaaattttt... :frown:
  12. Ew on the yellow sprinkles! And the green ones... well... :frown:
  13. I would have, but I didn't think you were coming here. :frown:
  14. Well, it's a bit confusing. It's never our fault unless it's somebody else's fault, and then, because it's not THEIR fault, it becomes OUR fault. Hence the deal where it's now the teachers' faults for the kids not doing well. Got it? Have you tried the pouch test? I'm still on it until tomorrow, but it seems to really be helping, AND I've lost weight -- though I don't know how much cuz I was too scared (okay, of fellow bandsters who told me not to weigh, lol) to get on the scale when I started. I'm down another 1/2 pound this morning, bringing me to a new low. Well, actually that skit with Plain brought me to a new low, but you know what I mean. :frown:
  15. Aw, don't say that. Look, I may not like the outcome (though not just from one side, to be fair), but I know the job is overpaid and underworked -- er... :frown: J/K... I know how thankless it is.
  16. Now you know why you could never pay me enough... not only dealing with other people's bratty kids, but this crap. Welcome to the new world of teaching. I've heard about this stupidity for years. I guess it's just now hitting your home state.
  17. Sorry, couldn't write because some crappy malware attacked my computer between posts tonight. I spent nearly two hours performing three separate scans. JERKWAD IDIOTS who create this stuff!!! School was good! Short classes for the first day, so that was good... however, Monday classes are split. I have one from 1:30 to 4:15, and the second is 7:20 to 10:00. School isn't close enough to home to warrant GOING home, so... I did some reading for my Thursday class. Wednesdays are 1:30 to 4:15, and Thursdays I also have two classes, and luckily they're back-to-back -- 1:30 to 4:15, and 4:30 to 7:10. Ugh. I like both instructors, though I wasn't initially sure about the second guy. He's ex-cop and was all serious-like in the beginning, but very quickly he was cutting jokes (straight-faced, tho) and was very engaging. He's the prof for my Criminal Justice Ethics class, and the lady in the earlier class is teaching Strength-Based Leadership. She was fantastic -- a sit-on-the-desk-and-chat type. Says she's unconventional, and I believe her. Overall, so far so good! And I did answer about 2010 up there somewhere. From what I see, my classes end about mid-May, though saying that now it doesn't sound right. Hmm... I have a daytimer I bought that has all the different school functions/data in it, so I'll check it later on and verify. I'd LOVE to be able to come!
  18. Says who?? I find you mighty popular and miss-able.
  19. Understood, Susan, and thanks for all the hard work you do. That said, Donna is not innocent. She's just not as adept at the insults as HH is.
  20. Sounds like a plan to me! That $*%& Donna wasn't even in that thread until she suspected it was him. She's always on him like white on rice. I don't get it. Chick needs to get a life, a boyfriend, or a hobby.
  21. I know I'm a double troublemaker, but I LOVE HH.
  22. Oh no... I don't know what to say except I'm sorry... but I guess you are being saved for bigger and better things, m'dear.
  23. Well, I wasn't able to fit my computer in my saddlebags on my motorcycle, so I was sitting there jonesing for some PJTP. And now I have five pages to catch up on! lol Hubby seems to be feeling a tad better today. Was sucking on his straw a little bit ago. He's 44 and has been smoking since he was 8, so... yes, you read right, 8. He needs to quit. As for the get-together, my break will actually be about the second week in May, so I'd be back to school by June. And considering that I'm not sure what's gonna happen with hubby and work... I don't know what to say either. I would rather a date be chosen that will work for the masses, and if June works better (though I know, being a Texan, that it WILL be hotter! ), then June it should be. I'll just come down on my own sometime and mow Lu's back 40.
