  1. Sorry I missed that, Ebony: Hope your neck feels better. My mom is having issues too, and you already know about hubby... so many neck issues.
  2. Whoa, I don't even remember writing that last night! I figured out the problem... these were leftover mojitos from a week ago, but I was thinking it was the "mixer" that hubby had made. Well, what I forgot was that it already had tons of rum IN it... but when I prepared it, I did two jiggers of the "mix," then added two MORE jiggers of rum, then added a splash of club soda. But the alcohol was so strong, I had to add more soda. NOW I KNOW WHY! Holy cow, no WONDER I was spinnin' by the time I went to bed and was still feeling woozy this morning... And I have NO idea where the clowns thing came into my thinking. However, I agree with plain: Sexual innuendoes have no business on THIS very serious thread, Carrie. tsk tsk
  3. Nobody's quite like plain, eerily or otherwise. You're just a straight lurker. He likes to jump out from behind stationary objects with his trench coat open. There's a HUGE difference.
  4. First of all, HAPPY BANDIVERSARY! Next, you are not bringing anybody down. And you are NOT alone. Why do you think I'm seeing an eating disorder specialist? I still at times turn to the bad side when stressed (as I sit here with my Ben and Jerry's while writing this... :tongue2:). I just noticed -- you said you're eating chips. I don't know about you, but I have severe water retention with salt. I mean, I could gain five pounds overnight after chips or Chinese food. Is that a somewhat common occurrence? If so, maybe you too react quickly (and badly) to salt. Just something to think about... Anyway, you will make it through this. And if you feel you need it, find some additional help. I keep telling people that the band only helps with part of the problem -- but it most certainly does not do anything for our heads.
  5. Thank you. Just got home about 30 minutes ago. Been a long damn day. We left at 10:00 am and I got home just before 10:00 pm. Surgery was scheduled for 12:30 but they didn't actually get him wheeled to the OR until 3:00 (the surgery prior to his gave the doc a helluva run, apparently). The doc came out and talked to me post-surgery about 5:00, and by the time they called me to tell me where they had moved him, it was 6:30. By the time I left, it was just after 8:00. THEN I had to find my car. The area we enter the hospital from has free valet parking, but I forgot they quit at 8:00. So... I see a sign that says if you are trying to retrieve your car after 8:00, you have to go to security. Which I have NO idea where it is... So I walk all the way around the hospital (I saw signs showing where it was -- by emergency), and when I come outside, it's a stone's throw away from where I had been. Guess I got my walking in! Anyway, I'm just now eating some egg salad and a vinegar pasta salad I bought at Giant. I really hate eating this late, but my FIRST meal of the day wasn't until 3:30 because of all the screw-up on time. So hubby has found the morphine pump -- and hits it about every 30 seconds. Mind you, it will only dispense about every 8 minutes, but he keeps doing it anyway. The nurse had walked out right as I came in and, when she came back, told him he can't get it to respond as often as he hits it and said that she had been gone maybe five minutes and he had hit the button 17 times. LOL The good news is that for tonight, he is THEIR problem, not mine.
  6. One drink and I'm drunk enough that this clowin is lookin' gooooood....
  7. You sure it was glue?
  8. Sounds like you have experience in this area, Plain. I was just reading tonight how it's going to be a federal crime for eBayers and Craigslist users, along with garage sale holders, to sell items that have recalls on them. Isn't that nice.
  9. I have fantasies of Brad Pitt. Is that cheating? Even found the nekkid pics of him from way back when he was with Gwyneth. Icky poo. I thinks I needs me an intervention.
  10. Another male/female unfairness. We get nothing but saggy stuff -- boobs, butt, thighs... I want a re-nob.
  11. Wow, BBK, that is totally creepy! As I read, I came up with new things to say, and now I just read what you said about him having a PPO out on him. I worked in the family courts for three years, and we dealt with PPOs and POs, and though a PPO CAN be granted rather easily, they usually have to have some teeth to them. In other words, somebody can't get a PPO on somebody for something really trivial; however, once it comes time to get the permanent order, if he fights it, there has to be proof of abuse or abnormal behavior by him. We dealt MUCH more often with PPOs/POs due to abuse and only rarely got petitioned for stalking orders. That said, I too think it's time to talk to hubby. Remind him before he flies off the handle that 1) the guy hasn't exactly DONE anything (yet...), and 2) anything HE (hubby) does can land him in a lot of legal and financial trouble which then could take him out of the house and leave you and your kids vulnerable to him. Maybe if he's scared into the reality of what could happen, he'll think twice and allow the system to work. The reason I think hubby should be told is it appears he already has fantasies that you are "relaying messages" to him -- which means he's psycho. To people like that, merely making eye contact could be construed as a "stolen moment" between you. I too am alarmed that he would act the way he does in front of your kids. That to me just assures how unstable he is. Add to that the fact that he's already being accused of stalking and, well... Anyway, if hubby is aware, then IF this guy should grow a set of balls and choose to confront your husband that you two are "an item" or something, then he'll be aware of what's going on. It would be easier to have your husband in on it from the beginning than it would be to try to explain why all the secrecy later. But again, I reiterate, he MUST be made to promise he will NOT endanger your family by doing something about it. He will have to show a level of maturity here that will protect all of you. Besides causing him legal grief, give him an image of this guy owning everything you have due to a civil suit. Also, it will help keep you from having to explain why you're moving your daughter from his dojo. And if you can file complaints against him, DEFINITELY do so. To misbehave in such a manner while on the clock, even if he IS the boss, and going so far as to threaten to keep your daughter from testing should you rebuke him, is wrong no matter how you color it. Good luck, and keep us posted.
  12. I had done a liquid fast for nearly two weeks for religious reasons some years back, and I knew that if I could make it past the first few days, my stomach pretty much went numb.
  13. Well, I figured you're not QUITE as dirrrty since you pool dive. Then again, I know that I pee in the pool, so...
  14. Oh, my, you dirty, dirrrrrty girl!!
  15. Well, it is NOW...
  16. There was this one time in Tiajuana... I really don't like to talk about it. Let's just say I have a LOT of respect for poodles now and their level of pain tolerance.
  17. It's like the "choking game." Familiar?
  18. Okay, shhhhh, the monkey and donkey things are our closeted secrets. We're uptight, girdle-wearing, high-collared, Bible-toting, gun-slinging, tight-bummed righties and we have an image to uphold. What is said here STAYS here, right? As for PG, the left could learn a few tricks from that saucy little minx.
  19. I bet he is right. I think the same thing even happens on Weight Watchers -- the losing seems easy, but you don't find as many maintaining their weight. I'm at 5.2 and feel I am at a sweet spot now. I'm sure it might change as I lose more weight, but for once I didn't need a fill when I went in a couple weeks ago.
  20. You dirty, dirrrty girl, you.
  21. I wanna be FBed by TPG...
  22. Wow, Lulu, you have got to be feeling lighter than a feather in more ways than one! I thought it was some sort of infection but wasn't sure if I had missed something else. So are they just going to have to re-fill you slowly as if you were starting over? Though it's got to feel GREAT to be holding your own during this time!! I'm just so happy for you that I can't even tell ya...
  23. Most of the clueless tea partiers use government services. That's a fact Jack. They come rolling up in wheelchairs, drive on the roads, and use government programs. Hypocrites that watch too much Glenn Beck and think that it's normal to rant and rave as loudly as possible. And... you get this information from WHERE? Hmm, I was at the 4/15 Tea Party, and not only do I not (nor have I ever) received a dime in any form or fashion from the government, state or federal, but I don't have cable and don't watch Glenn Beck. From all the people I spoke to (which was many), they too are just hard-working individuals who are sick to effin' death with the government power grab that has come hugely from this administration (though it certainly didn't start here). You can plaster your crap statistics from here to kingdom come, but it doesn't make you right. It's something the panicked left tosses out there. But then again, they are notorious for knee-jerking their way through life with no facts to back anything up. There are answers to every question, folks just have to shut up long enough to hear them. It's quite simple. when you're yelling about death panels, which is right out of a science fiction movie, it's hard to hear the facts. Why, because the government is SO truthful and would NEVER lie?? Holy hell, politicians are KNOWN for lying. Constantly and continually. Always. It's a little more complex that that. I have had an actual stalker before. That's just the beginning. I can't imagine why. Let's see there was Dingell's, and Peters and Schauer's ... death threats at John Dingell's son Chris, and Swastikas and nazi symbols at Schauer's ... lost of morons yelling stuff that wasn't even remotely true. Really? Do you think the left did the same thing towards Bush in relation to the war and/or any other topic? Were you as outraged when there were death threats against him? Here, look for yourself: Death Threats Against Bush at Protests Ignored for Years Or are you as up in arms about the left doing this? I bet you're not. Well, if you read the bill, which I know you haven't, you would know that illegals aren't included in the public option. Just sayin .. Does it SAY "all illegals will be covered"? Um, no, even the left is not THAT stupid. But what they do is say that ALL people within the United States qualify for coverage. I HAVE read that. And we all know what that means -- don't ask, don't tell. C'mon, are you really that blind? I welcome opinions that are different from mine Of course you do. :crying: I wouldn't say I have the most open mind. Seriously? lol Texas Texas .. I don't think it would be a huge loss if they just got it over with and created their own little island. Well, there ya go. :crying: By the way, I LOVE this guy from your home state:
  24. Well, THIS is all I nead to hear to know that you are a very misinformed individual who's had a trip or two too many to the kool-aid bar...
  25. Oh, I also ate like a slobbering pig while I was away. Won't EVEN get on a scale. I don't know what it is about vacations and becoming a brain-dead idiot where I'm concerned, but it gets old and makes me feel like a failure.
