  1. And as I wrote, I choose not to wrestle with pigs. Figuratively speaking, that is. That is my choice, no? Otherwise, aren't you forcing this on me? I never got into this as a religious debate anyway.
  2. Seriously, I have been down this road with harder nuts to crack than you. It's not a matter of redirecting anything, it's a matter of picking one's battles. It's like trying to describe colors to a blind person. They can't get what you're saying anyway. Nothing personal towards you, but I find when one wrestles with pigs, you end up all dirty and the pig likes it. So what's the point? You have your reasons for not believing in God, and I have a my reasons for believing in Him. Faith cannot be defined or described. You either have it or you don't.
  3. Why would I want to? I believe in God and you don't. That pretty much sums it up, doesn't it? I don't need to make my point with people who don't believe. It's rather fruitless and silly.
  4. I can see my point was completely lost on you.
  5. Wha...?? Omg, tell him you ought to run around nekkid because that's how God made ya. :w00t:
  6. Welcome back, Susan! Long time no see!
  7. Make that three. I guess I can do Richard twice to combat all the wine I drank at Colorado Chick's house last night at dinner! :w00t:
  8. Absolutely fantastically awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Eh, that may actually work for you. When you're pushing and hurting and cussing up a storm, you won't give a crap if you call her something in the heat of labor that you might have regretted with the other doc. :scared2:
  10. That is FANTASTIC!!! That IS a great NSV!! Congrats! :scared2:
  11. Hey, that's better than MY husband did. He likes it long (which mine just won't do), so I went from bag-lady chic shoulder length back to my short hairstyle when I went for a second interview for the job I have now. He walked in the door after work, stopped dead with his hand still on the knob, and said, "Oh, great." :w00t: Coulda smacked him right then and there. He doesn't like when I color or hilight it (over the years it has naturally gone from a medium brown to a deep coffee brown, go figger); he doesn't like when I cut it; he doesn't like when I used to perm or curl it; so what does that leave me? :tt2: Problem is, this short hairstyle really fits me. I get compliments all the time. I WISH I could grow it long, but I just can't. I figure if I decide ever to grow it out again, I will do a body wave -- just enough wave in it to do something. My hair is strange in that it's thick and has body, but now when it grows out there is no rhyme or reason for what it does. It's got too much body to go straight, and it's too straight to use curlers and expect it to keep the curl. It really sucks. So I keep it short. :crying:
  12. Good Lord, people, is everybody a mobster groupie? lol
  13. They can be a bit stringy and tough at times.
  14. Any other day I would figure it was for me, except that I hadn't said much.
  15. Addictive?? Omg, I need another addiction like I need a hole in the head! So... where do I sign up? lol
  16. Did she intend that for you?
  17. Is THAT where everybody is??? Good God, people, I need entertainment here! lol I need to figure Mobsters out. I was busy playing WoW. I'll get on FB soon enough to try to figure out what to do.
  18. I keep thinking of the Gregorian Chant.
  19. Good thoughts your way, LJM. Maybe he's getting tired of your loud neighbor and the strange-looking food too.
  20. Heck YEAH that's a great NSV!!! I think that is fantastic news, SnT! I bet it feels good.
  21. Yes, it is true -- especially for Southern Baptists. Don't know if ALL sects of Baptist believe this. I remember I was considering marrying a man many years ago, and we belonged to a Baptist church. In talking to the pastor, there would be no dancing allowed at my wedding. I was taken aback as I felt it wasn't their right to say. They said Baptists are against dancing. I showed him passage after passage where it said to "Sing and DANCE and rejoice in the Lord." Nope, wouldn't budge. THAT'S why I don't like religion. Give me God on a mountainside any day. Mankind has completely screwed it all up.
  22. You seem like a really nice guy, so I don't wanna bust your chops, but can we ixnay on the promotions for your wife already? :wink2:
  23. I apologize for not clarifying. I was on my way out the door to see a movie, and I realize it sounded flip. I guess what I mean is that bandster hell is that -- hell. It is that time before the band works but after surgery has taken place. It's that time when sheer will power has to take over, and it can be very hard. Like after my first fill, for whatever reason, I ended up HUNGRIER than before the fill. I was hanging on by my fingernails because I was literally starving just a couple hours after having eaten, and that was never normal for me even before being banded. There WILL be times that we have to utilize willpower, and God knows that we need to work the band. There will never be a time that the band alone will do it all for us. It won't choose good foods for us, it won't make us work out, it won't keep us on track. We will have to do that with the aid of the band. I sincerely apologize for my short stupid post. I should know better to give such a short answer when I don't have time to explain -- OR to not give a short answer like that when I need to explain. I knew what I was thinking in my head, but you didn't. I'm sorry for that. :wink2:
  24. Doesn't sound like it's the band that's the problem...
