You know, Tina, when you had that revelation at the beginniing of the year where you started to really FEEL -- I had hoped that would be a true turning point for you, whatever road the results took you down, whether it be forever reconciliation or separation. You had to fall in love with yourself to realize maybe you deserve better. I think the biggest thing about us when we are fat is that we don't care about ourselves. That allows us to be mistreated by others because we believe we don't deserve better. You had this epiphany a month or so, and I believe you grew in the realization that you are a wonderful person who deserves the best life can give you. Though separation and/or divorce should never be glamorized or celebrated, doing what is best for ourselves should be commended.

Yeah, the Duggar family. Just had their 18th baby not long ago, all aged like 22 on down. Again, I'm all for it if that's what they want AND can take care of them and afford them. It's not an either/or.

Have to agree there. Either I didn't see what others did in Carla, or like you I just didn't see her as being anything more than dominant which is different than being a bully. Omg, I didn't snap to that!! Was it really the one that came from home that was all up on her high horse?? Wow... Okay, THANK YOU!! I about had a heart attack on that one!! I know there have been times when I either gained a pound or two or simply didn't lose, but I went down a size. How does she explain that??

Green, question for you -- and if it's too forward, I fully understand you not answering. If you knew you could get tested for the cancer gene (and maybe you did, but if you didn't...) would you? I ask this because my mother and HER mother both had breast cancer. My mother had it when she was only about a year or so older than I am now. My sister has also had stage 0 pre-cancerous results as well and had to have a duct scraping (I think) due to it. It has been suggested to me a few times to get the testing done, but I worry that eventually that will be made available to my insurance company and I will be denied if anything ever does happen. I am very conflicted about what to do about that. Certainly if I am prone, I want all the heads up I can get, especially since I'm fat which makes it harder to detect AND even more prone to it. However, I can't help but worry that there WILL come a day when all of this would come to light, even if I paid cash, and I would cause myself some real trouble. Thoughts? I hope you're doing well, btw. I watched my best friend suffer from it and I hate it with a passion.

No, actually I didn't see the body language. Carla may SEEM like a domineering jerk to you, but I see somebody who, pretty much from the get-go, wanted to do this. Joelle, on the other hand, wasn't really into this. She almost took the money early on, and she didn't push at all most of the time, losing TWO pounds one time and ZERO tonight. That would make me seem like a "domineering jerk" too if I came back to Joelle's blase attitude constant whining and excuses as that's all Joelle seems to be able to overwork is her mouth. Joelle may not be The Biggest Loser, but she is a loser in my book as far as relationships and team spirit go.

Omg, Joelle is such a self-centered bitch. I am GLAD she's gone but sad for her friend. The friend worked her butt off and lost out because Joelle could only offer lip service yet again. And to think that all these months later she won't even talk to her friend?? With friends like Joelle, who needs enemies?

Problem is, though I absolutely agree with this sentiment, what could anybody have really done, other than trying to have her committed if they thought she was "off" (no easy task, I assure you).

What I read said that she had filed, wherein she lost her house, and that's why she's living with the folks. That makes more sense than the parents having filed.
