  1. So.... LJM..... whatcha doin? PUSH -- one, two, three, four... PUSH -- one, two, three, four... Breathe.... breathe.... I helped my best friend birth her baby. Figured the poor thing would know me as One Two Three Four.
  2. Oh, and mom filed for bankruptcy a year-and-a-half ago. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2009/01/30/earlyshow/health/main4764432.shtml
  3. AND 500+ grams of fat!!!
  4. Omg, I thought you were AT goal! Where else could you possibly lose? I showed my mom your pic and her jaw about hit the floor. She was stunned.
  5. Okay, um, WHY would a woman who's living at home with HER mother even GET invitro??? Just on those facts alone, that is the height of irresponsibility. So who is paying for them, US?????
  6. Omg, yes I did yesterday.
  7. LJM, thinking about you. I am SO excited to see pics and hear how it all went!
  8. Oh, Brandy, I'm SOOOO sorry!! That sucks big time.
  9. You just helped me make the point I was making. I suspect the OP is eating incorrectly, is too tight, and is staying stagnant. I hope she gets an unfill and gives it a real shot. The band WILL work if people listen to their bodies and put in at least a little effort.
  10. I did read what you said. You said: Now, let me say this before I start, I do NOT excercise, or very little anyway. And: I can barely get stuff down and PB all the time. I am eating 30% of what I used to eat. And: It took me a long time to REMEMBER that I had to chew my food, so for the first while I would forget to chew and things would get stuck. If you eat 30% of what you used to and pb all the time, how do you not lose, unless you are eating wrong foods? You got stuck at least partially because of you (though you may be filled too much). I thought you were asking why the band wasn't working for you. I showed you why. I guess you just wanted your hand patted while we all rail against the band with you. I am far from a resident expert, but I have 30 pounds lost in two months that you don't have after seven months, so... I thought you wanted to hear from those who were working the band correctly to learn something. Guess not.
  11. Nobody was hating on you -- just pointing out that, based on your own words, it sounds as if you are a very big reason why the band is not working for you. I have a good friend who was pbing all over the place, and in a few short days lost six pounds. If you are pbing all the time as you say, then why no weight loss? I'm just saying that I believe there is more going on than what you're saying, and to simply blame the band is not being fair -- to the band OR yourself. So long as you choose to deflect blame, you will stay stuck where you are. That is your choice. Makes no difference to me.
  12. Don't blame the band for you gaining 25 pounds.
  13. You know when you look and look and just can't find the right emoticon? It was that one or one of them damn dancing bananas. But I figured the banana was too close to phallic symbol, something LJM will NOT be to keen about in just a few short hours. :scared: Hey LJM, will hubby record the nasty stuff you say to and about him while in labor? Sometimes those are damn funny.
  14. I've tried that, and it's not bad. But I have also bought a high fiber multi-grain tortilla too which, I think, has better nutritional info. I remember I had both in my hands and bought the tortilla one instead. I'll have to look at the package tonight to see what it was. It's NOT wheat... can't stand the wheat either. But if I remember right, it's like 9 grams of fiber.
  15. I don't know if they sell those, but they DO sell roasted soy Beans that sound very similar -- so I wouldn't be surprised if they do the chick peas that way too. Good Fiber, and pretty good for you. I haven't had them in a while (may look for some tonight when I go to the store), so I don't know how the sodium is on them.
  16. Well, they have to be exceptionally judgmental, tell you that YOU are above all others, and preach hellfire and damnation against prostitutes.
  17. Then quit complaining and get yourself working! "This" isn't going to work unless you do your part -- unless you want it to work! And I mean want it enough to put down the pizza and go for a walk. A car can get you from point A to point B, but it won't do it without you maintaining the thing, putting in the right gas and other fluids, and turning the key. Do you look at your car and say, "Geez, I put out all this money for it to get me to work and all it does is sit there"??
  18. I'm going based on what YOU posted -- the things you eat (and that was just what you admitted to) and the fact that you don't exercies. It doesn't matter if I just got my band or not. The fact is, we STILL must make some modifications in order to work the band. Otherwise, aren't you just saying that you are not responsible at ALL for what you do (or don't do) and it's ALL on the band? Yes, some people have high metabolisms and can eat whatever they want. We already know we do not fit in that category, otherwise we would not be fat. In those cases it IS about body make-up, bit for the rest of the real world, it's about calories in/calories out. If you eat pizza and bread and don't exercise, I'm sorry, but ain't a thing in the world will combat your not losing weight. As it is, you have freaked out new not-yet-banded people -- not because there's anything wrong with the band, but because you are not doing your part. You know this. I'm sorry to have made you defensive, but you know what I'm saying is right. You have not put in 100 percent. You probably haven't even put in 75 percent, or 50 percent. I'm sorry that you're struggling with this, but if you'd at least do what others have suggested, then maybe you won't feel so misinformed.
  19. Ditto, Brandy! That's AWESOME!!!
  20. I got this book a week or two ago off of Amazon. I will be trying my first recipe from it tomorrow night. :bored:
  21. True, we ARE here for support. However, I guess I get a little tweaked when people start blasting the band and scaring newbies when in reality it is the person who is not working it correctly. :bored:
  22. Omg, I laughed out loud on that one!!! ROLLED? Pfffft, I woulda sent them loose. :bored:
  23. I mean this in the nicest way possible, I swear -- but it IS your fault. The band has worked for so many people, so if somebody out there is not losing, the first thing I ask myself is, "What are they doing wrong?" How badly do you want this? I ask myself that every night I know I should be exercising and don't want to. Positive self-speak is very important. But I want to be thin more than I want to sit on the couch or eat that thing I shouldn't have. Only you can answer that question for yourself.
