IF she is independently wealthy and able to take care of them all herself, I don't care what she does. However, if even ONE DIME of taxpayer money is going to this silly woman, then any one of us has the right to have our say. And considering that she lives with mom and dad AND had a bankruptcy less than two years ago, I would bet the farm that we're paying SOMEthing for these kids.

A coworker heard on the radio that she was upset that corporations weren't flocking to help her like they have others in the past, but I don't know it for a fact. Can't find anything that claims that from any news source.

I read in one of the stories that SHE claimed she was paid for being implanted with all these babies. Now, who would do this other than an inept doctor who is playing the odds?

Wow, I am SO glad my doc doesn't wait that long! I was banded the 21st and will be getting my third fill on the 16th of this month. You may or may not notice anything after the first fill. I actually got hungrier; but then again, he only put in a teeny fill because I thought I was feeling restriction. I had a hard time knowing what felt right.

They live in California, a state that is notorious for handing money to people who don't deserve it, like illegals. They were probably at her door the day she got home with a check in hand and an apology that they didn't get it to her sooner. :tongue:

It's hard to know if that's true. Obviously only time will tell if any are identical. It also could be somebody or somebodies trying to dig themselves out of hte backlash that has come about since this story broke.

I'm sorry, but his attitude is just. not. acceptable. He bumped out tens of thousands of people for that spot, and he didn't even really care about doing the work or losing the weight. It's one thing if we pay for or have insurance pay for our bands and then don't give a crap; but to me it's totally different if what you do causes another to not get the help.

I went to another couple's house tonight with ColoradoChick and her husband, and we were talking -- CC said somebody she knew had a preemie and it cost over $1 million for the hospital staff/work on just one baby. Now multiply that times eight. Supposedly there are no less than 42 staff working round the clock with these babies. Who is paying for this?? Did she have insurance, or are we getting screwed YET AGAIN to take care of people and their offspring that have absolutely no business having kids???

The thing is, nobody knows yet how she did it. It was said she COULD have done it herself with hormone stimulation or some such thing. People all over the US are asking how any doctor worth his salt would implant SO MANY embryos into a woman who already has six kids! But if she's living with mom (and dad is MIA) then I can't help but wonder who the HELL is paying for all this??? Then I see that it's California and just go, hmmmm. Could you imagine? Fourteen kids, all seven years old and younger.

I can tend to be that way somewhat. It was a party atmosphere and I let my guard down. There were a number of us drinking so it's hard to tell how much I had. I'd say 6 glasses if I had to guess. But normally, no, I'm nowhere like that.

Omg, I would eat it too. I like sausage and bacon. I can't imagine how salty it would be, though... I like(d) to crumble pan sausage into my grits. Yum! And though I don't MIND wine, it is NOT worth working for an entire week, eating well and getting 4 hours of exercise just to go back to where I was before the wine.

Okay, I FINALLY lost those stupid 2 1/2 pounds from last Saturday's Wine-O-Thon, plus another 1/2 pound for good measure. I will say it here and now: WINE IS NOT MY FRIEND! WINE IS NOT MY FRIEND!! Between visiting my folks and having too much and then last Saturday, I've had to lose the same 7 frikken farken pounds TWICE. That's it for me. Shouldn't be hard as I'm typically not a wine drinker anyway.
