MacMadame: Size SIX?? Omg, you are my new hero!! Tappy, move over. Susan: AWESOME! Six pounds already?? And here again I keep going up and down the same two pounds, even though I keep doing everything right. Until last night, that is. I am the anti-Tappy. I got up at 1:15 this afternoon. Yes, it just felt that good. Went to bed about 2:15 this morning. I can't remember the last time I slept this long.

Nah, that's the crotch of hell (Texas. I know... I lived there 27 years). You're farther north, so it's colder there. I lived in Michigan until I was 13, so I know what I'm talkin' about there too. Hated Michigan, ended up hating Houston, so far am loving Virginia.

It's because you live in the armpit of hell. I lived there for the first 13 years of my life. Never again.

OW, Lulu!! So sorry you hurt yourself, but yay on the not running thing! I couldn't run from here to my mailbox if Godzilla himself was after me.

Well, this is true! It's hard for me to complain about them not giving these people guidance on eating when their workout routines are so out of the norm. If their results light the fire under some of our butts, then I guess that's good, but it seems to me that most of the contestants from TBL have regained much if not all of their weight after leaving the show. That's very sad. Oh, I agree. I don't know what it is, but I'm not feeling a "connection" to her. But some of the shots they do of her, her face is getting very pretty.

So you're saying you don't have it anymore, or you don't use it anymore? If it's the latter, is it possible it holds any super powers at all? And if so, may I borrow it? I get tired just reading the stuff you do! Tippy-Tap: Does more before 9:00 am than I do all d-- erm , all week.

I was thinking that very thing this past Tuesday. Another one who is looking very good in most shots these days is Helen. She really has a pretty face, and it's really coming out now.

LOL, and what's so funny is, my fighting BACK against all the crap was viewed as "stirring the pot." They are so oblivious to what is going on, and what's sad is they have to CHOOSE to be. I called my judge a hypocrite on my way out the door. She accepted all sorts of crap that the golden-haired child was dishing out to the previous Clerk but now that it's being done to her, oh my, "WE DON'T TOLERATE THAT." Um, yeah you do... you've even ENCOURAGED it when the other woman was here. It's very sick. Aw, thanks! I was already there doin' my networkin' thang with the attorneys I know so well. :crying:

No, not really. I spent some time up there this afternoon to give my coworker friend a gift for her birthday, and in so doing I saw a lot of the bailiffs and attorneys that I have known for three years who only knew I wasn't working there anymore. I filled them in, and not one person there was surprised to find out that the new "boss" was the reason for my leaving. Nobody else is stupid about what is going on -- just the one judge.

The nice thing is that some of your good nuts also have Protein as well. I just found this on nuts: Weight Control Researchers at Brigham and Women's Hospital and the Harvard School of Public Health found three times as many people trying to lose weight were able to stick to a Mediterranean-style moderate-fat weight loss diet that included nuts, peanuts and Peanut Butter versus the traditionally recommended low-fat diet. (International Journal of Obesity, Oct. 5, 2001). As long as you control total calories, eating a handful of nuts daily may help prevent weight gain and possibly promote weight loss. The fat, protein and fiber in nuts help you feel full longer, so you may eat less during the day. By helping induce a feeling of satiety, nuts may help people feel less deprived and not like they're "dieting." Just limit your portion to a healthy handful. Walnuts. One ounce of walnuts (about 14 shelled walnut halves) is all that is needed to meet the 2002 dietary recommendation of the food Nutrition Board of the National Academies’ Institute of Medicine for omega-3 fatty acids. Almonds. One ounce of almonds (about 20 to 24 shelled whole almonds) provides 35 percent of your daily value for Vitamin E. Vitamin E may help promote healthy aging. A study reported in the Journal of the American Association (June 26, 2002) suggests a diet rich in foods containing vitamin E may help protect some people against Alzheimer's disease. The study also found vitamin E in the form of supplements was not associated with a reduction in the risk of Alzheimer's disease. Peanuts. Though often discussed with nuts, peanuts are a legume along with dry beans, peas and lentils. One ounce of roasted peanuts provides about 10 percent of the daily value of folate, a B vitamin recommended to help reduce the incidence of birth defects and lower the risk of heart disease. Peanuts also are an excellent source of niacin, providing about 20 percent of the daily value. As a group, nuts also are important for what they DON'T offer: Cholesterol. Nuts are cholesterol-free. Sodium. Unless salt is added to nuts, they naturually contain, at most, just a trace of sodium. Diabetes Women in a Harvard School of Public Health study who reported eating 5 or more 1 ounce servings of nuts/peanuts per week reduced their risk of Type 2 diabetes by almost 30 percent compared to those who rarely or never ate nuts. Women in the study who ate five tablespoons of peanut butter each week reduced their risk for Type 2 diabetes almost 20 percent. (Journal of the American Medical Association, Nov. 27, 2002.) There's also a chart there which shows calories, protein, etc. that is not transferring over here properly, but it's very informative! http://lancaster.unl.edu/food/ftmar04.htm

    Help...my husband doesn't understand.

Yes, I do know a lot of it is me. My version of slow may not be what is truly required. However, I know that some people really have issues with certain meats. Just as a forewarning to you, I had no problem with chicken or pork until my third fill.

Awww! He IS a little hottie! I loved his face. It's so sweet and kind. You can see he's a nice guy just by his face and eyes. I just wanted to hug him whenever I saw him. And not in a weird way. :crying:

That's really a shame, especially if the show is about truly helping people for the long run. :crying:

I was given the option, so I "quit." And yes, I am very relieved. Sounds weird in this economy, I know. I'm more upset that I'm not upset than I am about losing my job. Does that make sense? :crying:

I think they do (or did), but I think it's after the funeral and you have to provide a death certificate and they'll reimburse you part of the fare. However, I don't know if it's only for blood relatives. :crying:

That's an insult to douches. :smile2: She's a horrid, horrid little wimp. It had gotten so bad that coworkers couldn't talk at ALL if not work related, you couldn't go down the hall for a minute to get a drink except on your lunch hour, you couldn't use the office IM except for work-related issues ONLY, and there was really nobody we could go to with our issues. She can do no wrong. I wonder if they'll be saying this when the place falls in around her ears. Oh, and she's neurotic and paranoid. One day last year a coworker and I were talking in the back hall about something personal to the coworker, but not about anybody in the office. This person walked by, saw us talking, and told our then-boss that we were talking about her and conspiring to get rid of her. :w00t: And don't EVEN get me started about the new "rule" that they attempted to implement a couple years back that if we were going to get Christmas gifts for coworkers, we MUST get them for ALL because Miss Crybaby had NO friends there and nobody got her anything (nor did she EVER get anything for anybody). Then the following year somebody DID give her something and she had the gall to complain at one of our staff meetings that, "Yeah, I got something, but it wasn't as nice as the gift this person gave to so-and-so." It's sheer insanity, and the fact that I put up with it for three years either says I'm nuts or I was simply long overdue. And no matter what Miss Thing does, the judges rally to her as if she has the goods on them.

I didn't because of where I worked. I worked in the Juvenile and Domestic Relations court here in my area as a courtroom clerk.
