Did you tell them what happened, or did management breach protocol and tell? -

I'd like to see how they bill that to your insurance! -

Oh wow, Ebony, I'm SO sorry... It sounds very similar to my job situation, though they didn't have an issue with my performance -- only the favored child. I had often said if the favored child hatcheted my arms off, my judge would have yelled at ME and asked what I did wrong. It just became very untenable. I was miserable all the time and was grumpier than normal. I'm still emotional about it... this morning I went in for a fill and told my doc's office that I had a change in insurance but didn't have a card yet from my husband's employer. When I told them who the carrier is, they said that that company does not support WLS -- which now means my fills will NOT be covered. :tt2: I just stood there with my mouth hanging open, thinking of all the people who have posted here and said that their self-pay fills cost $700!! Luckily mine will only be $125, but still... I just sat down and filled out my paperwork in shock. The nurse began whispering with the receptionist, and then she called me over and said that they wouldn't charge me for my fill this time, and they will work with me on my future ones. I started bawling. It was very nice of them to do. -
Yes, many of my responses were long. However, I was also accused of not answering the questions. I guess I can't win. And yes, when I get attacked personally for not drinking the Kool-Aid (regardless of whose Kool-Aid it is), I tend to be drug down to that person's level. I know it is a weakness of mine, and I will try to do better.

You very well could be right, but I would LOVE if somebody like Colin Powell or Condi Rice ran. I'd have to look further into their beliefs, etc., but I have NO issue with the color of Obama's skin -- only the lack of his experience, couth, and the fact that he adheres to a socialist ideology.

So many I've met are such hard-line polarized partisans that no matter what he does, it's great. However, had a republican been in office and done the same thing, there would be much wailing and gnashing of teeth. I know this like I know the sun will come up tomorrow. You'd see how many of these people REALLY feel if a conservative did it. But he could do anything and it would be fine for a lot of people, simply because they adhere to a certain political stance rather than looking at WHAT that person is doing! Though I consider myself a conservative (though today's "conservative" is looking to be far from what I believe in), once Bush started doing things that I considered un-conservative, I became very vocal against him. I didn't just nod and smile and say how great he was because he wore the label "conservative." That is what separates some of us from others, from EITHER side. I know there are conservatives that get entranced by their guy too and quit really paying attention to what it all means. So long as he is of the same political persuasion that they are, that's all it takes. I really don't get that about some people. To me, it shows a TOTAL lack of thinking for oneself but instead shows a complete sheeple mentality. Of course, that is just my opinion -- and I'm not saying this about any one side. It happens on both.
-
Absolutely agreed, PG. On every political thread I've ever been on, when they say how great it is that Obama is doing what he's doing, I have asked -- to the sound of crickets -- for people to name ONE THING the government has ever taken over that was bettered by its involvement. That question gets conveniently skipped (nee ignored) every single time. It's as if these pols are saying, "No, no, no, you're not ruining it fast enough! Here, let us show you how to do it."
-
Plain, have I told you lately that I love you? You are the bestest.

Unnecessary post.

Not leniency, just gave up. There's no point in adding yet another issue to this topic. As for BJean, I appreciate that you are friends, and for that I am sorry that I upset you. However, my experience with her from past political threads is that, where I attack the politician, she attacks the person attacking the politician. It becomes personal when it never should. Also, as for BJean, she too is not worth expending the energy. Like PG, she has her agenda, and nothing else can get through. That's my view, anyway.
-
LOL, too funny. While I have some very strong feelings and opinions on what PG wrote, I chose not to go down those rabbit trails because these are NOT religion threads and I didn't want to add to that.

How can I be a gang of one? I could see if I was jumping on some bandwagon or something, but really... Lulu, this person has spent the last week or so calling names to those few of us who simply disagree with her. I listed them last night. She asked questions that, when answered with factual arguments, she then responded that she "didn't read them because they were long-winded," and to plain she said she didn't read his because he spun and dodged. She said flat out that when we were being FOX news-ish or Rush Limbaugh-ish in our responses, believing that we can't actually think for ourselves, she was going to call us on it. I decided that was a great tactic and chose to do the same thing when she spewed her personal grudges, namecalling, and BS. I'm not sure why her behavior is fine but mine is somehow a gang mentality. I understand she can't fight this battle because she is disingenuous at best. But she has acted throughout as if she has taken the high road, and all she has chosen to do is sling the same mud that the left-wing do. It's one thing to be a liberal. There's no harm there. However, the crap she espouses -- then ducks from when met with facts -- well, that's just bullshit no matter how you want to believe I am handling myself in this thread. She doesn't get to determine the rules of how this is played. If she dishes it, she's going to likely get it right back. She has chosen to take this route rather than debate civilly, so she has been met with responses that she obviously can't handle. I'm not asking anybody to agree with me here, Lulu. I don't even expect you or her to agree, and that is fine. But when one slings the kind of bullshit that she does here while lobbing personal attacks on people because she can't fight a good fight, then she deserves whatever she gets -- whether you agree or not. And nothing personal at ALL towards you, but she can fight her own battles. Kinda.
-
Well, it's nice to see you're soooooo beyond getting personal. Typical.
-
You're not crying uncle, you wimped out because you know you can't fight the facts. You know it and I know it. That's okay, I understand how the skewed crap you call logic can be dismembered by a simple set of facts. It's funny how you claim your questions aren't being answered, yet when plain or I DO answer them, then he's dodging and I'm too long-winded. You have a bullshit answer for everything. You have learned the left-wing shuck-and-jive very well, grasshopper.

I have a program I bought on family geneology, along with using the online ones for a fee. It's amazing how much you can find, and the nice thing is a lot of the work is done for you by others who have been doing it. What is also nice is I was able to fill in some gaps for others who didn't realize that my grandfather had kids, grandkids, or great-grandkids. I found we have a Rockefeller in the family line, and we also had a Lizzie Bordon-style murder mystery as well. Father went to town with the crops and left mom and the kids on the farm, and when he returned, all had been hatcheted to death. He was arrested for the murder, but after a trial and numerous witnesses who saw him in town, etc., he was cleared, but they never found the murderer (likely a vagabond). In doing my research, I was able to link with very distant cousins in my motherland who had also done research on the other side of the pond, so where my geneology research starts here in the states in 1610, over yonder they were able to take it back to the early 1500s. Very interesting information! -
Omg, you have got it SOOOOOOO right!!! The only one who has term limits is the president, which makes NO sense since the ones who create these insane laws which change our lives are the Senate and Congress. Real bright there.

"Where were all you buggers..." "Broaden your horizons." "You might learn something." "I can't imagine what kind of life you have. It must be depressing as heck to live in your head." "Obviously you don't think that shoe fits you because you don't watch Fox and you have many and varied sources for keeping abreast of all things political, eh? Well good for you!" "Whoo-hoo, gotcha stirred up, did I?" "Oh Beth, you're a mess!" "You're so brainwashed you'll never get it until it all unfolds and you will see it and live through it like I have." "You people are lunatics." "Are you on Oxy?" "Go suck an egg." "For you to be totally anti-government is unAmerican!" "Go peddle your nonsense to someone else." [The preceding nonsense was brought to you by BJean. Notice how non-insulting and non-personal she is.] Um, yeah... whatever. The sad thing, BJean, is that I am sure there are a lot of great people out there who happen to be liberals who are not such intentionally misguided zealots. However, yours is the face of the liberal party that is most prominent, even if it makes up only a fraction of overall liberals -- people who are dishonest, vile, all hormonal emotion with no depth or content, and who tell others to go out and learn something all the while refusing to look at data that flies in the face of their skewed agenda. You choose instead to walk in hard-core lock step with the liberal pinheads who are doing all they can to socialize this country and take away our rights -- something I THOUGHT you were against. Or was that only when speaking about Bush? Because it seems to me, if Bush did it, it was evil. If Obama expands and does it, it's wonderful. You and I know damn well that if Bush was in office and making these decisions, you'd be screaming like a Yeti. Your arguments about how WE must be spoon fed by FOX or Rush, when you are a walking, talking CNN/MSNBC/Michael Moore advertisement is rather hilarious. Especially since I don't watch or listen to either. Maybe... just MAYBE... we conservatives are on the same page without the need to toe the party line. You spew about global warming when more scientists have called it bullshit than those who say it's fact. The "global warming" lie is yet another way for government to bully its way into people's lives and create more socialist policies. It's no wonder you don't see it. Hell, even if you did, you seem to think, based on past comments, that socialism -- while it's "not happening" (yeah, right) -- would be okay if it was. You really don't deserve to live here. My ancestors fought and died for our freedoms; many fought against the tyrants of England who tried to dictate people's lives into the ground -- and won -- only to have apathetic sheeple such as yourself come around 200 years later and say that what has never worked will somehow work now. In all honesty, your intelligence appears to begin and end with the fact that you can write coherent (if misguided and ignorant) posts with proper grammar and spelling. Beyond that, you are a liberal lackey who has proven yet again that, for many of you, thinking is not a requirement. Just toe the party line, chant, "We are Borg," and shout down the opposition. If or when you can actually participate in a debate AND look at factual information -- and put down the Kool-Aid -- I'm afraid you are not worth my time. I prefer thinking types, even ones I disagree with.
-
And when you are provided those stats and choose instead to stick your head in the sand rather than facing facts, you should be called on it as well.
-
Especially when there is SO much waste. It's not like they even try to pretend to be fiscally responsible. WE all have to buckle down, tighten the belts, and do without while the government continues to live as if it's 1999 and the party has just begun. As for BJean being capable of answering questions and addressing hard-core facts, I think she has erased all doubt that she does not have that ability. Want to drive a liberal completely nuts? Pelt them with facts. They melt down. Every. Single. Time. Dodge and spin, dodge and spin, change the topic, call people names and tell them to suck an egg, then skulk away while lobbing immature dingleberry bombs at those who stand there wondering wtf. Oh, well... it's that type of behavior which has helped get us where we are today. Hope they're proud of themselves.

I understand that to a point, but what was to keep Sione from approaching her? I mean, by then he had already given Jillian attitude and pretty much said he didn't want to work out with her. When she chose to take him up on it and work with all the others, he threw a tantrum. He can't really expect to have it both ways...

My job had a golden-haired child too. Thing was, she's a flaming gila-monster bitch, so I left. Decided life is too short to put up with idiots who have a sense of entitlement. A mantra? "I think you're great, but do your eight!" -

Yeah, I dunno... I think they still put stuff in the water that can gunk it up. If you don't want to spend the money for a new machine, it's worth a Saturday or Sunday working a couple pots of the stuff through it to see how it works. -

Aw, Eb, I know we're not the same as having DD, but you have us as your friends here...
