Heartfire, SO sorry to hear about your episode!! Omg, how scary! I had a horrible PB episode last night which resulted in vomiting. It lasted the longest ever, but probably because I just had a fill. I went to school still not fully unstuck and sat out in the parking lot trying to bring it up, then went inside to the bathroom and tried. I was already 20 or so minutes late to class so I went in, and two minutes after sitting down, I got "that feeling" again and ran to the bathroom and finally it came up. Though mine didn't last all day, it was over an hour of misery. Good lord, why can't I learn to not eat fast when I need to get going?? Oh, and speaking of PB... I'm more than surprised -- I'm actually ALARMED that that's all they did! There has got to be a reason it's all coming back up, and when fluids won't stay down, that's a very dangerous issue. Blue, did they give you a reason why? Could you be too tight? These people aren't taking this as seriously as they should be. What about the brownish vomit (which I thought maybe had blood in it)? They just don't sound very serious about this. What you are experiencing is NOT normal at all.

Absolutely nothing stays down? If not, then I don't know what you can do until you get in in the morning. I'm sure they'll take you in immediately since you haven't been able to keep liquids down since Sunday, is it? Yeah, not good. In the future, that is an immediate-if-not-sooner visit to the doc.

Definitely, what Delivered said! You really should have called first thing Monday! But I don't want to do a coulda, shoulda, woulda, just call FIRST THING when you get up!

And from what I'm reading and hearing, he is forcing either a merger between Chrysler and Fiat OR a bankruptcy of Chrysler. He said today that "WE decided this needed to be done." I know who "WE" is.

I'd go broke buying that much.

My doc too. This last fill on Thursday was the first time I ever asked where I was at. He responded, "In examining room 2 in Reston, Virginia." lol Then he said I went from 3.8 to 4.3. I told him to calm down, I was NOT comparing to anybody, I was just curious.

How tall is he? It's so hard to tell. Or better yet, how tall are YOU? I'm short-ish (5'7") so I'm good with 6' and taller. And as for hotties... erm, have you seen Watchmen? Dr. Manhattan (the blue man)? Uh, full frontal in most all of his parts, which thankfully were pretty often. :smile:

Have you thought about seeing a therapist who deals with eating disorders? I know I am looking for one -- not because I need one now, but when I start losing large amounts (around 70 pounds), something happens and I "freak out" and have reversed myself in the past. Granted, those were diets I failed, and this is not a diet, but I know that is a weakness of mine. Since many of us are emotional eaters, it would be good for us to tap into those emotions with somebody who understands our eating issues as well.

In my case, the complaint was that my child was wearing long sleeves and long pants in summer, that I didn't feed her, and that she was in dirty clothes. Hardly abuse. Nor was any of it true. My daughter most certainly was not wearing long pants and shirts in summer (insane in Houston), the wash was done the day the lady came (the same day she called me at work, so I certainly did NOT have time to run home and do it), and we had plenty of food in the house. My daughter, along with the daughter of the woman who called in on me and another little girl, would spend the entire weekends going from house to house eating. They would come to my house and have sandwiches, maybe go to another and get chips or fruit, etc. That was how they spent the weekends. This lady came to my home and had to go through my pantry and fridge (full), check her clothes (all clean and weather appropriate), and pull her into the bedroom without me and inquire I don't even know what. Granted, the case was closed six months after the investigation (standard), but still... I felt so violated and told this woman that her agency was being used by a bitch with an obvious grudge and mental problems. I don't know what the answer is, but I think that they could be a bit more discriminating about the complaints they investigate.

I would hope they're not together, especially since he found out he's not the daddy.

And, Carrie, that is the flip side of the coin. I am sure the bulk of them do pretty decent jobs doing what's best for the children, but what I've heard too often or seen myself is them either being used from one neighbor/family member against another as a get-even tactic, or the kids who are for SURE in a bad situation who SHOULD be removed but are not. I'm sure those cases are just the fringe, but still... it's what we hear about.

It's kind of a slippery slope. Are they needed and necessary? Unfortunately, yes. However, I was once reported by a woman who was angry with me, and I know of another woman who lost her children because somebody reported a cigarette burn when it was a chickenpox scar. Long story, but she was not very vocal and ended up with a shitty lawyer, and she went to jail and had her kids adopted out from under her before she was even found guilty of anything. So yes, people DO get abused by a system that is supposed to protect the abused. Then you have the kids that are returned time and again to known abusers, only to be eventually killed by the parent or caregiver. I don't know what the answer is, but in my case, it WAS a case of revenge (and to this day I still don't know what for) and though investigated, my case was closed due to unfounded allegations. I also absolutely agree with your last paragraph. The problem is, they are underpaid, overworked government workers. That never makes for a good mix. I think good people go into that job with the best of intentions, but sadly it just becomes too much to keep up with.

Maybe it's a boy thing, Slim. My DD wanted the basket and all the goodies up until the very end when she moved out. Happy Easter, everyone! It's gorgeous (if a tad bit nippy) here today. Hubby is outside mowing the lawn, and I just came from a nice visit at ColoradoChick's of tea and a phenomenal soup she made. Had game night there last night (10 of us total) and tonight she's having us over for Easter dinner since neither of us has other family around. Her poor husband probably wonders when the hell I'm goin' home. :cool2:
