PJTP: Writing from Ocean City, Maryland. My friend has been itching for a girl's weekend and on Tuesday she went and got us a room at a hotel on the beach for two days. I picked her up in DC and we drove here from there. LONG ride (6 hours from my house, with traffic), but her hubby made it nice for me. He gave me his car to drive (she can't drive a stick):

Well, I know that it's hard to direct people on what to say. When you get a group this large and diverse, you're just gonna get what you get (like you said earlier). Sometimes it sucks, but sometimes you find things out that maybe you hadn't heard before. Maybe it might be easier to do searches on the site for what you're looking for rather than asking outright what you want to know. The answers might be less jaded that way. Just my two cents. :tongue_smilie: And yes, mean people suck. lol Hopefully you're getting more good out of your responses than bad.

It seems "normal people" have to pay for stuff like this. Why not bill the estate? Heck, it's growing by leaps and bounds now. A memorial service is one thing. Friends and family could have attended that. This was a spectacle put on in a sports arena or some such thing, and for that, I believe the estate or family should be billed. The people who may find peace with his death are the children that he sexually abused. And of course any future children he was going to abuse.

I'm thinking the thing to do was to 1) get the Jackson clan to pay for this beforehand, or 2) not have the circus at all.

That's the thing... he's such an awesome guy I have a hard time being pissed at him, but still... yeah, I am kinda pissed. That really leaves the door open to LOTS of rules! :thumbup:

PJTP: Kind of a blah day. Still waiting for the phone to ring, and went for a fill today. Was UP .4, which is not the direction to go, but at least it was only that little bit. Last fill I got he accidentally way overfilled me -- took me from 4.6 to 5.8, intending to hit 5.2. Went for an unfill on day two and he said he took me to 5. Went in today and come to find out, he actually took me back down to 4.6. No WONDER I've been hungry ever since! I thought I was losing my ever lovin' mind, thinking I had had an increase in cc and was hungrier than I was before the fill. So... another month lost. Granted, I take full responsibility for having let stresses affect me to where I haven't been making excellent choices or exercising enough, but dang... The GOOD news is I'm going with a girlfriend to Ocean City tomorrow through Sunday, so I'm happy with that.

Not to mention, it's that much harder to get good testimony from a kid when they DO testify. I think many a pedophile gets off because of the fact that it's hard to get good testimony out of kids, if at all. Now multiply that by the fact that Jackson was a beloved entertainer with hundreds of millions. More likely than not it would be near impossible to get a conviction.

I'm hoping your part in this is on the professional hassle and not on the personal end. Some people are too stupid for words.

That's why I say he's not innocent. Innocent people do not pay one DIME, much less $22 MILLION.

"Concrete proof" of abuse typically requires the abused to testify against the abuser. It's always this way, whether it's abuse against a child or a grown adult. Even in cases of adult rape, there isn't "concrete proof" if the rapist says the woman was a willing participant. Rape can be hard to prove. Molestation is that much harder because there is no "concrete proof," no physical proof. Just a child's word against a beloved superstar adult who is adored and has tons of money for the best lawyers. I think you can read where I'm going with this.
