Saying it sounds like fear and stress due to that fear is fair. More than fair, actually, specifically because that has been my downfall in the past. I know my weaknesses, and I think because, for me, this surgery is a last chance, I get scared that I will fail myself again. It's like if you are doing your best to walk a straight line, you don't need your SO to throw boulders in your path. It doesn't mean I'm still not responsible for walking that straight line, but somebody who loves you should not be tossing the boulders. It's a two-pronged issue. I did take him out for dinner for Valentine's, but I went to a seafood place that we had never been to before. I made good choices (lost 1.5 pounds right afterward), and the portions were small by restaurant standards, which was just enough for me. I think maybe soon I could go for us going out every other Saturday or something -- so long as we don't repeat what we have always done in the past.

Why can't he defend his land and his business? His cattle (business) have been harmed, his land has been trashed, and it has affected his livelihood. Since when are people relegated to hiding in their homes and ONLY THEN, if somebody breaks in, they can protect themselves? Trust me, if somebody was breaking into my car outside, I would also go out there and hold them at gunpoint until the cops came. If you had your way, you would totally hamstring the INNOCENT people in this country by making them jump through hoops while the criminal just walks all over them. Since when is that fair OR right? He harmed no one! Oh, and for the record, if they came in his home, he has every right to blow their asses away. Also, I don't see it as he said/she said when one party is innocent and the other party is a bunch of criminals.

Shonda, he DID call the police. He simply held them until they came. Why is it you insist on tossing nonsensical stuff into this argument? MIGHT have kicked them, MIGHT have threatened them, MIGHT have shot them... The whole thing about debate is dealing in FACTS, not what "might have" happened. He HAS to travel with a dog and a gun BECAUSE of the criminal element that has robbed him, harmed his cattle, and the siimple fact that many that come over the borders are drug runners who will waste no time killing somebody. I don't care if he sicced his dog on the first one who moved (though he DIDN'T) -- he has a RIGHT to defend himself and his property and business. And he DID call the cops/border patrol. It's bad enough you can't shoot to kill in many cases anymore, but NOW, even holding them for the border patrol to come get them is now being a big, bad meanie too. :thumbup: Liberalism just kills me. Devil Dan, we share nothing. I don't know what is in your mental makeup that you thrive on pissing people off or dropping bombs into threads to purposely annoy the masses and get reactions out of people, but rest assured you share nothing with me. I doubt you even share the human race. I put in "virtual" millionaires because to US they are not millionaires, but back home, they are very wealthy.

I know I used words like vermin. Vermin, in the way in which I mean it, refers to animals or insects that are destructive, hard to control, or annoying. I wasn't just tossing it out there for the heck of it. It really had a reason in this thread, and respectfully, I still stand by it.

Sorry, I was being slightly facetious. I stand 100 percent behind Americans born here (and I do NOT include anchor babies in this mix). I am also 100 percent behind those who come here the legal, legitimate way and become citizens, pay their taxes, and take on the American way rather than trying so hard to make America whatever skank hole they may have left. What I detest and despise are illegals. I don't care what they come from, I don't care what they're coming to, I don't care their reasons. I understand them, but I don't care. We can't save everybody, nor should we be required to. Try moving to Mexico and see what happens. The things Mexico expects of us in taking their people, they do NOT do the same for others. I know my ideas do not appeal to many, but I can't care about that. I came from a border state and saw what they have done to it. I see what they are doing to California. Hell, even though I don't live in a border state now, I see what illegals do as well since I work in a system that deals with them waaaay too often. If they want to be legal, then be legal. However, they don't. They want to make the good ol' American dollar, send it home, and yes, even mowing lawns and cleaning houses, they become virtual millionaires in their country (this is towards somebody else who mocked that). When they can make here more in a day than they can in a month in Mexico, you're damn tootin' they become very wealthy once they return home. So yes, I detest illegals and what they are doing to my country. They are NOT Americans, never will be. Those who choose to come here legally and invest in this country, those people are more than welcome. I hope that clarifies.

Ew, no thanks. :thumbup: I had that at Christmastime, and it lasted nearly two weeks. It was the worst set of cruds I had ever had with HORRIBLE drainage. I had to get my first fill during that time and almost drowned laying back to get stuck. :thumbup:

I think most people that get to our point (whatever WLS one chooses) have had it with the obsession that is required to keep up most diet programs. It's simply changing one version of an obsession for another.

Not many, lol, but give it time. We have women with 14 babies who have had no sex, and grandparents giving birth to their grandbabies, etc. It's only a matter of time. :thumbup:
