Post gastric sleeve I know the ask to aim for 64 oz but is 42+ ok?
-
Premier protein is intolerable pos op - I use fairlife/ isopure the nausea is just worse somedays more than others its not mechanical restriction so much as just a not wanting to drink more bc it’s plain water if that makes sense Haven’t found a flavor enhancer I like so far anyone have a sipping schedule (how much water to aim for in a certain period to get to 64) would be very welcome

7th week out and some days harder than others with nausea

Seeing diverse opinions - what’s your experience? Do you use one, if yes when did you start? Any problems etc

I felt discomfort in days I exerted more but that subsided with rest anything that doesn’t resolve or worsens I would immediately contact the doc
-
3 months seems like a good starting point
-
I was told sporadic pain which resolves with rest is ok but continuing / increasing pain should be checked beat to call doc

Debating whether to try one month post op or wait for 3 months

My program advises against it on the air ground but they helped me get more fluid in preop so thinking of trying

I am using miralax once a day post op and a week after have had only one bowel movement - my dr says bowel habits change and you identify constipation by an ‘urge to go but can’t’ Anything more specific bc post op honestly I am so apprehensive it’s hard to tell what’s real and what’s me stressing Also any advise for constipation ? Was warned prevention better than cure and again apprehensive
-
Yes benefibre 🙂

I am doing miralax and BF daily with magnesia if required

Is this ok? I have this recipe for brownies with cornstarch monkfruit as coco powder wonder if that’s doable In soft food stage
-
Am fine with monkfruit. Same with chocolate flavour protein. Was thinking of brownies with protein powder added maybe instead of cacao
-
Consult your team but I was told to take 8 oz water followed by 2oz milk of magnesia and then 8 oz of water and repeat thrice if it doesn’t work within an hour they also recommend stool softeners like colas at the end go with your doctor

My prog allowed decaf 3 weeks post op but many warn against it due to impact on nutrient absorption healing and acidity What’s your experience?
-
I tried a decaf with milk - few sips day 25 post op and felt a little burp so left it off but relieved to hear the positive experiences i guess I will let my body tell me how to go
