Anyone else change their style a lot since WLS?
@GreenTealael Ooo yes I love a bodycon! My breasts were a 42GG - I am now down to a 32E and I completely get the deflated thing! I wonder if I will need the same thing! Omg I can't wait to have smaller boobs so I can go without a bra, wear backless dresses and cowl-style tops!!! So glad that you are enjoying and loving your new body ❤️

Oh god I don't know about that! I am so not confident for a bikini yet...my tits are non-existent skin bags and my tummy is deflated ?

Plastics Referral via NHS
One for my UK family ❤️ Recently had a referral made for plastics in the UK via the NHS - now I know the likelihood of this being approved is extremely low - the GP making the referral even said to me it is entirely dependent on what clinician picks it up, as we are at their whim/bias, even telling me a story of how one woman had her loose skin removal referral denied because the clinician stated that because she paid for her RNY privately, then she could afford to pay for plastics...how awful! Either way - has anyone actually had their plastics on the NHS, and if so, what was your experience like? If not - have you paid privately in the UK and if so, where did you go? I have been looking into Ian Whittaker!

Thank you so much ❤️ First year in my new body sounds so mad to me! (in a good way) - I never thought it'd even be possible. I even celebrated with some sugar-free cake ? Lovely to hear that you are enjoying getting dressed-up ❤️

Did you wear many different things compared to pre and post-plastics? I feel like there are so many things that I want to wear right now, but until I have plastics, they don't feel too accessible!

Thank you so much! So glad to hear that you are enjoying clothes! It is definitely something that people take for granted, and something that still feels surreal to me!

@Arabesque I feel that! It is weird to look back and think of how much effort I put into trying to hide/disguise/conceal my body via clothes when in reality, I don't think anyone but me really cared! A wardrobe of timeless, statement pieces...now that sounds interesting & I'd be so curious to see what kind of statement pieces you have! Sounds fabulous! Clothing addiction is definitely something I think a lot of us have now that we can wear more in different sizing's - you aren't alone haha! Thank you! ❤️

I for one feel like I am constantly changing my style, whether that is my hair colour, the kinds of clothes that I wear, my make up etc! Anyone else feel like they are constantly playing dress up and having fun seeing what suits them after weight loss? For reference - I have just dyed my hair pink & have included a picture of my birthday outfit from Saturday!

1 Year Post-op ??
I am 1 year post-op today, and I have (pretty much) hit my goal! I can't believe it has been a year already, it has gone so fast. To think that this time last year I was having surgery (BIG shout out to Simon Monkhouse), and I was starting a new chapter of my life. I have learnt that I can adapt to change quite quickly, something I didn't think I was that good at previously. I think we shock ourselves at how quickly we can adapt to our new way of living post-surgery. The NSVs have been life-saving for me. Every time I am walking about, up hills and at a fast pace, I still catch myself thinking "I can't believe I can do this". Before this I would have to stop 3-4 times just on a short 8 minute walk as the pain in my hips and back was awful. Now I can jog and I can ride a bike uphill!! I feel happier in myself and in my day-to-day life, and while I may still have a long way to go in terms of being kinder to myself, I am learning to love my body. It is so nice to be able to just think less about what I am wearing, how I will look. I am grateful to feel smaller and to have people not notice me in public (as weird as that sounds). Next part of my journey is just to see where my weight loss goes, then to look into some plastics in the next year or so, but overall, my goal is just to keep living feeling this free ❤️

Break-ups ?
Thank you everyone for all your kind words ❤️ Myself and my partner decided to look at getting couples therapy, and start just being brutally honest in our communication, even if it is uncomfortable. It is working so far!

Break-ups ?
@The Greater Fool Thank you for your response I agree that it can also apply to the relationship we have with ourselves - something I definitely need the time and space to figure out. I do have a therapist who I shall be seeing tomorrow, so I know that will help. It has definitely thrown me off balance but I do agree it is something to get through and to process with time.
