How funny! I am interviewing for a PACU position too!!

I just interviewed for the Clinical Informatics RN position at a hopsital being built. DH and I went yesterday and we like a small town nearby. Now the real question is do we want to up root our whole family for this great job offer! Anyone that does my job would jump at the chance to work in a new hopsital completely interfaced with no paper. They will even have vs machines in every room that will auto imput the data to the EMR and will begin with everything including CPOE (Computerized Physician Order Entry). We would have to figure out where DH would work.

I'm getting financing in line and DH said maybe you should wait with everything going on. I told him I would pass on the job if I had to chose. DUH!:thumbup: He said ok. No problem.

We're tentatively scheduling an RR get-together for the night before my surgery when I'm in town. Tuesday November 4th. Dee said you usually meet around 7p? I'll have my mom with me, but I'd love to meet up with whoever can make it!!! :thumbup:

I'm jealous. I will be in town the week before. I wish it was the same day!

Remember the ones that hurt are (as a general rule) not the ones to worry about it is the ones that don't hurt that your doctors are going to be even more cautious about.

Better safe than sorry in the long run anyway!!!

I am looking into financing. Dr. K's office needs payment by Oct. 15th. Have you shopped around? Who was the easiest to work with? I have applied with surgeryloans.com and been approved, but I haven't heard what there interest rate is. I have a job interview on Friday and weather we move or stay the amount of the monthly payments will make a significant dent in our budget. Can you help me? Even though interest rates are partially determined by credit rating is there one out there you recomend?:thumbup::crying:

Please pray for my hubby today. Surgery is at 1. They are removing at least 18 inches of his colon, the mass (that we are hoping is NOT cancer). He will be in the hospital for a week. I am a crying, scared nervous wreck. Hoping that I don't have to hear the "c" word.

Oh My Gosh!!!! I have scheduled my surgery! October 3rd is the phone consult. Oct. 28 is the pre-op appt and I am having my very own band placed on OCTOBER 29TH at 11:00am hospital time (give or take 6 hrs.) :tt1:

I am SO EXCITED!!!! I think I'll dress up as the luckiest girl in the world for Halloween!

I can barely contain myself. I am keeping this private so I can't call and gush to my friends or family about it. My husband was the first one I wanted to call anyway.

Hello all. I am new. I have been doing research and have found out about Dr. K. I have learned alot just by listening to all of you.

I went to his website and put in my information. I plan to call on Monday because I don't know if I can wait form them to call me. Besides it sounds like his office is BUSY!

Here is my quesion for all of you. I am about 8 hrs away and plan to drive or be driven. How soon were you able do the phone pro-op and schedule surgery? Do you know how far out he is booked up?

I have spent my time learning and asking questions. Now I am ready to begin the rest of my life and work at losing the weight and for a change keeping it off. :wink_smile:
