What are some of your favorite films?

I love movies as well. I love anything with Johnny Depp or Drew Barrimore in it. My favorites of the the 2 actors would have to be both Pirates of the Caribbean movies, Benny and Joon, Chocolate, From Hell, Finding Neverland, Edward Scissorhands, Ever After, Never been Kissed. Movie favorites that don't have either of them in it include Robin Hood men in tights, Goonies, The princess diaries 1 & 2, Confessions of a teenage drama queen, Elle enchanted, Star wars series, Haggard, CKY 1-4. I could go on but I will stop there, LOL.

    Trampoline

I have 3 kids but they are older my youngest being almost 8. I hope to get back on tonight. I had so much fun. My daughter goes to gymnastics today and since I use to be a gymnast it fires me up to see her doing it and loving it the way I did, LOL.

    Trampoline

Well, I got on just to give it a try because I have had real busy, late nights so I haven't gotten on it seriously yet. I got on while my son was on and just joked around, then my daughter came on. I got about 20 minutes of total jump time and I was breating heavy and sweating, LOL. We have had it for just under a week and my daughter has lost 4 lbs. I hope I can stick with it.

    port discomfort

I have always had tenderness in my port area and was told that this is common and it can last up to a year or more. Certain things I do irritate it, like getting a fill because they have to mess with it and hold it/find it. Also things that involve stretching my abdomen bother it. Remember it is sutured to your abdominal wall and is a firiegn object in your body, I think it is only natural untill you heal completely and your body is useto the strain of it being there.

~*~Have you ever lied about your weight?~*~

I am a pretty open person and I will talk about it to most people. Now that I am banded I can share my weight with my hubby, where before I did the best I could to avoid that discussion or I did lie by a few pounds to him. He can be such a jerk about that. He has been bugging me and asking if I had hit a 20 lb loss even at only 2 months post op. It has taken almost 4 months but I am finally there and he was very sweet when I told him that I finally hit the 20lbs lost mark. I really don't mind talking about it now, but there are certain people that I won't talk numbers with, LOL.

Gone for Good Club - July 2006

I reported on Wednesday that I haddn't changed, but that day I cut down my carbs and sodium intake and I dropped down to 186 on thursday. I was estatic. I haven't seen that number in a while  I can't wait until I can see the loss in myself. 20lbs is a lot in my book, but I still don't actually see it. I know that my clothes are fitting differently, but a visual for me is not there yet.

    What is Wrong With Me?

Also sounds like your vitamins and electrolytes could be off. Depending on what you are eating, you might not be getting enough of something and your body can't handle it being so low. Definately get the blood work and maybe take a multivitamin if you don't already take one until you know for sure. A miltivitamin is never a bad thing. Good luck and keep us posted. Hugs!

Gone for Good Club - July 2006

I have not lost anything. I am still at 189, but I haven't gained either. I have cut down on the carbs and have started going back to the gym this week. I feel good about next week. I am hoping that my changes will show on the scale and in my clothing.
  15. I have noticed that, but then again those people are not me :grouphug: I am almost 4 months out and I have had no problems. I am still trying to find my "sweet spot" But I have had no problems and I have advanced through my band a little faster than some. I was on mushies straight out of the hospital, I don't have to do more that 3/4 of a day of liquids after a fill then back to regular foods, carefully. I wish I was losing a little faster but most of that is my own fault. I say, if it is working for you then keep up with the good work and enjoy your tool.

    Home from vacation

I know, I didn't even say I was going, but my hubby, kids and I went camping last week and it rained for half of our vacation. I did ok with eating, I didn't even eat a smore, not that I had much opportunity because of the rain. I weighed myself late in the morning after we got home and the scale said 188! Thats great but it didn't stay there :phanvan . I hate the fluctation game. I need a third fill, but I do have a little restriction it just isn't good enough yet. Other than the rain our vacation was very fun.

Hello, I am 30 and I will be 31 in October. I have been married for 14 yrs, I have 3 kids boy-14, boy-11 and girl 7 3/4. I was banded on March 16th, 2006 by Dr.Munshi in Syracuse, NY. I was his first. I will be a graduate nurse in December and I will be an RN as soon as I take my boards after that. I have lost 17 lbs, a bit slow going but still on target. I have a 4cc band with 2.1cc fill. I will be going for my 3rd fill this week or next. I have had no problems thus far, nock on wood and I look forward to real restriction. It is nice to meet everyone
  18. Can we sticky this? Ok, I started a fresh new thread for this months onderland challenge. Many of you joined us last month and were super close, so lets go for it again. My goal last month, since I was already at 199 when this started my goal was to get to 190. I never made it :cry . Now, I am real close but I have been in the 190's for a month and a half. My new goal is 189. At the moment I have 4 lbs to lose. Congrats to those of you who did make it. Please join us again for another challenge and let us know what your new goal is. Since June 21st is a Wednesday, lets make Wednesdays weigh in day. That way the last day will be a weigh in day. Good luck everyone, I have faith that we can do it!

Gone for Good Club - June 2006

I would like to join the club, but I will wait for next month's challenge. my highest weight I think was 206 weight on date of surgery was 205 my current wt and wt on day that I joined is 189 and my goal weight is 120 I am 5"2' , 30 yrs old and all my weight is from my stomach to my knees, lol. I am pear shapped and have HUGE hips that I can't wait to be gone for good! It puts me so out of proportion that if you ask me what size I am, I couldn't tell you. I am a wife of 14 yrs and a mom of 3. 2 boys 14 and 11 and a daughter almost 8. I weighed 98 lbs when I got pg for son #1 and gained 65 lbs as the stupid nurses and MD just shook their heads instead of giving me suggestions on how to avoid excessive wt gain. I lost some of the weight then gained a ton of it back. I did good with weight gain during my last 2 pregnancies but in between is where I gained all the weight. I love food and I have poor control. I have lost 17 lbs and I have 69 more to go. I can't wait to join the next challenge. Thanks for all of the support that I have already gotten!

Road to onderland challenge May 21-June 21

On 6-21-06 our finish date I was 189. I did reach one of my goals, but I did not hit my other mini goal which was to hit the 20 lb loss mark. Next moths goal will be to hit the 20 lb mark. That will put me at 186. Everyone did such a great job. You are all an inspiration to me. When ever I feel like I am not doing well I come on here and I read the great posts and I feel a little better. Thanks everyone for the awesome support!

    I Want To Eat!

Wow I feel bad because I only have to do liquids till dinner time when I get a fill in the morning. Then I can eat as normal as long as I eat soft foods.
  23. MiaHalliwell

  24. MiaHalliwell

help i am brand new at this!!

I was at a 38 for BMI and I was told not to lose too much but not gain anything. My ins approved me, no problem. I did end up gaining some but lost 9lbs then gained again, lol. Then I had my surgery and have been losing ever since. Good luck to you.
  25. I have a WW scale as well and it has varied but for the most part it is pretty consistant. I checked it yesterday, lol.
