For me, I was scheduled to spend the night in the hospital but when my doc met with me that morning before the 7:30AM surgery, he said that if I went to the bathroom, kept down some fluids, and was walking around, he would discharge me that afternoon. For the first couple hours after surgery I did not think that would happen because I felt so out of it. But by the afternoon I was like "Let's do this!" and was discharged around 4PM. I felt SO

  2. Hi!!

I'm new to the group and looking forward to any and all information and/or tips anyone is willing to share.

I had my consultation with my Dr July 11th, completed my visits, etc. Let me tell you all this, AETNA is not playing! My case was submitted for authorization on the 12th. Authorization was granted the 13th; less than 24hr turnaround. Color me shocked! I start my 2 week pre-op diet Monday and surgery is scheduled for the 30th.

I put this off for YEARS. Always put others ahead of myself. Now? I honestly don't know how to act. So happy I found this group.

Doesn’t the UK have sugar tax and restrictions on garbage being put in the food in that country? USA does really care what they put in our food and that may be why we have to restrict the we do before we are able to get a full meal. They don’t want our new stomach to be filled with crap too early? Lol idk.

May I ask where you had your surgery? I see you recently had it done. And, what advice would you give a fellow North Carolinian?
