Awesome job! I know it isn't easy but you are almost to your goal. Kudos to you, you're beautiful!

It's definitely a learning experience. You will start to understand how to eat because the way you feel will guide you. I usually take a long time to eat and I do it slowly. Yes, I'm usually the last one eating and still have food on my plate. My solution is I ask my husband to join in and eat some of my food, too. After a while, I really get sick of wasting or bringing home boxes every time I go out. Just take it slow, chew a lot, and let your body guide you. Good luck!

I'm hoping that you woke up this morning feel good and confident again. After reading your post, I think you may have overeaten, just a little. That gave you a feeling of too fullness. You didn't overeaten a lot because then you would have ended up vomiting and in severe pain. What you describe should go down, but slowly. I'm thinking by this morning, you will be feeling yourself again. Good luck!

LapBand is a tool, not a cure all. One must still work and follow the rules to lose. By the way, I am a doctor.Jim1967 and ♥LovetheNewMe♥ reacted to this -
So glad to hear you ladies are doing so well! Just bit of advice, take it slow and follow the rules. You will lose the most your first year and then it becomes challenging. Take advantage of the "losing window" when it comes off easy! Lapband is a great tool if you use it right, I slipped and am back on track again. Hope you both keeping feeling a little better each day!

Congratulations and the best of luck to all of you newly banded losers! I say that in the nicest of ways... It's a great journey if you follow the rules and make that your way of life. Good luck!

Keep up the great work and take advantage of that first year after surgery!

You're doing the right thing. Stay strong! One of my support group topics when I used to attend in person was how to avoid workplace temptations. My trick is always trying to have something I like on hand. I usually have grapes, a Fiber One Bar, or cheese stick. It's not easy....

Unfortunately, I waited too long to get an unfill and ended up gaining almost 30 pounds with a band that was too tight. I was vomiting daily at almost every meal and I still was gaining. I made poor food choices based on what would go down easy without throwing up what was eaten. I have learned my lesson and will definitely go straight to the doctor if I am ever too tight again. My 70 pound loss is now about 33 pounds but that's okay, I learned more about the tool I have. I'm back on track and feeling good. Good luck with everything!

Sorry, I don't have any advice. I just wanted to say I hope you feel better. I was overfilled after I had gained weight, it was horrible and oh so uncomfortable. I feel for you and hope you get relief tomorrow, if not sooner. Hang in there, you will soon feel better...

Did you lose weight? Perhaps you lost and your band is looser because you also lost weight inside where the band is located. That would give you much less restriction. If you're not in pain or having problems, I wouldn't think you're having a band problem. Believe it or not, weather even affects my band, is there a certain weather front in the area? Maybe you just need a fill. Give your doctor's office a call and see what they think. I'm sure they will have some idea as to what has happened. In the meantime, just follow the rules and, as hard as it may be, try not to focus upon the hunger. I wish you the best of luck!

I agree with Ken, crispy and thin is the way to go. I love chicken tacos and often have them. I usually only eat one and it fills me up and is delicious! Good luck, I hope you are able to eat these with no problem because I know much of the food you love probably include those yummy tortillas! Good luck with your Easter Sunday meal, just eat slow, chew a lot, and be aware of how your chest is feeling so you don't overeat and have to vomit. If you feel tightness if your chest, that may be your body saying you are getting too full. Take it slow...

Good question. It's probably safe for a short period of time, but do you really want to reteach yourself to eat like that? I always tell myself and my husband, I'm not on a diet, I'm changing the way I eat. So, the question is, for you, is this a realistic way to eat for the long haul? If it is, then maybe. The only concern is how you are getting in your Protein. Remember, you want protein because that keeps you strong and promotes weight loss. You wouldn't want your body to adapt that low calorie level so that when you begin eating again, you gain. Following the rules given to you by your doctor or nutritionist is probably the best way. Good luck, regardless of what you decide!

Great topic... I weigh every day. It holds me accountable. When I didn't weight for a long period of time, I gained about 20 pounds!! Don't do that, I'm now back on track.

It's amazing what changes when one loses weight. Your eyes look clearer, your gorgeous features absolutely pop out, and you were super pretty before! You look absolutely amazing and deserve every good feeling you are having right now. Keep up the great work and keep following the plan, that's the key!! Thanks for sharing...

David, CONGRATULATIONS! I'm a stickler for detail and according to my calculations, you have actually lost 102 pounds and you achieved your short term goal well before Memorial Day 2013!!! You sound like you have really followed the rules and been committed to using the band properly. I'm currently trying to get back on track again and you are a true inspiration. Great job! Thanks for sharing!

I think we all get frustrated with the band. I was banded in 2008 and lost 70 pounds, I've since regained and now know when I have a problem with the band to see my doctor. Well, I'm on my way now and really hoping that this time I will lose the weight I gained back (about 30 pounds) then proceed past that amount! As of today, I'm back on LapBandTalk which helped me so much before. I'm committed to this journey and know it takes time to reach success! So, hello, to everyone on there, it's nice to meet all of you and hear your concerns (which are often my own!) This looks like a fantastic thread!

Go to your doctor! I had the same symptons for over six months and one visit to the doctor cleared it all. Unfortunately, that was after gaining back some weight that I now need to lose. Use your doctor, that's what he's there for. I hope you avoid the gain and the only way to do that is to get to your doctor. Good luck!

Hi! I hope you get this fixed quickly! I had the reflux problem and let it go too long. I ended up gaining 30 pounds back and am now trying to lose them. My fill is always done via a fluro and the doctor can clearly see if it's too full or not. I would highly recommend using fluro. Good luck!

As an administrator who is involved in running a large school, I only told my secretary so if something should occur, someone is knowledgeable regarding my band. She would never tell anyone. We also have our medical history/notes sealed in an envelope in the nurse's office so, technically, in an emergency they would know. My honest feeling is I don't need to be judged. I'm glad I didn't tell anyone because I did gain back 30 pounds of the 70 lost (I'm working on it now!) I wouldn't want anyone feeling sorry for me that it didn't work out or, worse yet, making fun of my lack of success! My advice is tell only those that need to know...
