I was banded 6 months ago and have lost 40lbs. The first 3-4 months were really slow cuz I didn't have good restriction. But the past few months are way better! I'm averaging 8-10lbs a month

Glad you're feeling good! It took me about 2wks to feel completely back to normal. I'm doing great, loving that I finally have restriction! I've lost 40lbs so far

Yay I joined!! Thats awesome!! I live in Texarkana but my doc is in Dallas so I'm there ALL the time it seems, haha

yeah i was going to recommend TLC cuz I heard they're cheap and have talked to a few people here that had it done there, can't remember who off the top of my head. mine was 11,500. not much more, but i probably would have tried TLC if i had known about it at the time.

today was my 8th fill, i didn't realize! i thought it was my 7th. lol. i think i'll be good for a while. shouldn't have to go back until my next check up.

Aw I can't believe you cancelled! I know it's a hard decision. I was a cash patient too. Did you find the cheapest place you could?? At first I thought the same thing, cuz things were already tight financially. Making it, but not much extra. But I talked about it with my hubby, and we both knew it would only get worse and harder for me, and I want to live!! There's so much I want to do, and we knew I would never be able to until I lost my weight. My monthly payment stings, but I thank God everyday that I was able to do it when so many aren't and are struggling. I wish you the BEST! With whatever you decide. I'm going to Dallas tomorrow for my 7th fill! think I'll be at my sweet spot

Thanks for the comments! You're so sweet. Actually I "can" drink alcohol. My doc just doesn't recommend it because of calories. So I haven't since my surgery. But I'm going to New Orleans in 2 wks and I'm sure I'll have a drink or two, lol

Aw glad you're doing well. Yeah I was so excited to get to mushies! Mashed potatoes never tasted so good!! Im doing great, down 35lbs, whoo hoo. Now that I finally got some restriction it's coming off alot faster

I've lost 30lbs so far, yay me! I was slow getting started but it's picking up now

Awww I hate to hear all the bad news!! I know what a let down it is to think you can have it done and then be told "uh, no, nevermind". It sucks. I really really really hope it works out for you. Keep me posted! I'm doing pretty good I guess. Just trucking along, weighing myself every day, lol. Keep your head up young'un!

I saw Dr. V today. He did my fill. I think he gets easier to talk to the more I see him, lol. I hope everything goes well for you! I know it can be exciting and a little scary. And I love Barbara too! She is sooo sweet. And very helpful if you ever need any info.

It was Jill St. Vincent, my consultation lasted about 40 minutes. And that was it for everything! 2-3 hrs seems like a long time!
