I thought I was the only one suffering with my band. It makes me feel a little better than many other people have the same issues as myself. I am due to have EGD in the next two weeks. I cannot wait.. I have not been able to sleep for 3 months I have acid reflux, bad coughing so severe I throw up in the middle of tghe night at least twice, My stomach hurts constantly I cannot eat anything solid. It soup, oatmeal and shakes.. I have had nothing but issues since I got the band Although I am very happy with the weight lose I have so far. Which was 80 lbs. I am still at 250lbs. I have tried everything not eating at night sitting up prilosec, My doctor seems to think the I have a prolapse and will need to repair, or remove the band.. At this point I want it removed,.. I have been through so much.. A year after getting banded my port flipped.. surgery to fix, a year ago I have a hernia with sever pain, repostioned port and hernia fixed.. Have never found my sweet spot, either I am throwing up all the time or gaining weight due to no restriction. I have many friends that don't have issues with their band.. I must say that I am ready to let it go, I am in so much pain. It has been affecting my home life, my work, every day is a struggle, I hope that this time my doctor can either get me oin track or remove the band..

bill, hang in there, I have had my port replaced because it flipped, then about a year later I got a heital hernia, and the doctor had to go in and adjust my band so I have had a lot of issues but I must say i am happy about my weight loss, I have lost 105lbs, still need to loose 40.. But i am at a stand still now..

Well, I know how all of you fell, I went to my doctor and was trying to get filled with no success, I was banded on sept 4th. I have lost 30 lbs but am gaining some of that back. I have been to the doctor several times for a fill and they cannot find it.. So after the fifth time going in and having painfull experience. The doctor has decided to go in and do A PORT REVISION. I guess my port was somehow flipped. So here I am going threw surgery again I had it this last friday and I am still in pain. They went into the same incision. So we well see if they can fill me I will be going to the doctor in 2 weeks.. If this doesn't work I am getting a by-pass. I can't handle any more of this fill no fill situation.

:frown:I just recently went for my second fill, I don't want to scare anyone but it was horrible, the doctor could not find my port, It was tilted and he said I have a lot of scare tissue.. It really hurt. I am going back next week, so he can try again.. Which me luck, I had my band on Sept 4th I have lost 30lbs. Is that good? I feel I should be down more than that..

Hey! help! I had my surgery Sept 4th.. I have been walking, and recently joined a ladies gym doing water arobics, treadmill, bike, I have only lost 17 pounds so far.. I haven't gotten a fill yet oct 13 for me.. I am getting hungry lately.. I have been eating good, and I can't eat very much, So whats up with me.:biggrin:

Ouch!! stitches!! I didn't get stitches, I just had these white tape material over my incisions, They fell off after a couple of days.. Well it sounds like you doing great!! 30 lbs is super!! Kepp up the good work!!!

i would love to be included to attemd support meetings where at?

Hi all, I was Banded on Sept 4th 2008, Good luck to everybody!! I have lost 11 pounds so far..

I had my surgery in Richardson, Texas, But I am doing my fill here in Arizona at True Results, They are great!! I love them... Check em out they have a location in Scottsdale... I live here in Arizona, But went to Texas for the surgery through True results.. Not only did my insurance pay for my procedure, But true results paid for me to go to Texas all expences paid... Give them a try they are awesome..
