  1. Wendy’s Chili

    2 pounds ground beef

    One 29-ounce can Tomato sauce

One 29-ounce can kidney Beans (with liquid)

One 29-ounce can pinto beans (with liquid)

1 cup diced onion (1 medium onion)

1/2 cup diced green chili (2 chilies)

1/4 cup diced celery (1 stalk)

    3 medium tomatoes, chopped

    2 teaspoons cumin powder

    3 tablespoons chili powder

    1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper

    2 teaspoons salt

    2 cups Water

    1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat; drain off the

    fat.

    2. Using a fork, crumble the cooked beef into pea-size pieces.

    3. In a large pot, combine the beef plus all the remaining ingredients,

and bring to a simmer over low heat. Cook, stirring every 15 minutes,

    for 2 to 3 hours.

    Makes about 12 servings.

    Extra’s

For spicier chili, add 1/2 teaspoon more black pepper.

For much spicier chili, add 1 teaspoon black pepper and a tablespoon cayenne pepper.

And for a real stomach stinger, add 5 or 6 sliced jalapeno peppers to the pot.

Leftovers can be frozen for several months

thanks so much i will make it soon..i am addicted to wendy's chili............:thumbup:

Someone on this site sent me the Wendys chili clone..I use ground turkey instead of beef and do not add the hot peppers

should I post it here or will email to whomever wants it

I also use salsa added to my chili sometimes

Bought some salsa at costco not the one that makes mango...one that was with the coupon ....ugh.. gave it away.. we use salsa in this home..but this brand was foul... gave it to mil...she eats anything

I would love the wendy clone recipe for the winter since i am so addicted to wendys chili...thanksso much

  3. i'm italian myself, if the bread is thin & toasted well - i'm ok w/it:)

white bean chicken chili is easy.

saute' small onion / 2 celery stalks / 2 garlic cloves w/a little butter & olive oil....get translucent.

add 8 cups of chicken stock - while simmering i will pull apart pcs of a rotissere chicken (you can cook one, but i like the ones i get a whole foods & it's easy), add a can of drained cannelli Beans & let it cook for about 30mins.

"sometimes" i'll throw a cup of elbow mac in or some brown rice - depends what i have on hand.

Fantastic recipe love the idea of the whole foods rotissere chicken. Don't you love whole foods!!!!! we finally got one in my town this summer it is terrific they carry Protein Powder premade shakes and I find the prices for these items much cheaper then Vitamin Shoppe even witn my discount card....Thanks so much LULUC!!!!!!!!:blushing:

  9. I wouldn't buy the manual. Here is the link from that page for the plan Surgical Weight Loss 5 Day Pouch Test. I just followed the plan listed without actually buying any book. It really does help when you aren't sure if you need a fill.

As far as the almonds, I have seen them at other grocery stores, so hopefully they won't be too hard to find.

    Have a great day.

thanks again..........wow I do not know why I didn't find it with the first link.....sorry to be a pain. someone else mentioned sams club or walmart.........for the cocoa almonds:thumbup:

you have a wonderful day as well.
