    Good Crockpot recipes?

I do this one but don't add the milk just the mushroom soup. Most recently I used the Roasted Garlic Mushroom Soup. I also do the same thing with chuck steak (beef). Cooking meat in the crockpot makes it so tender..... I'm loving the ideas thanks everyone!

    Non Scale Victories!

Ok time to revive the NSV thread. On Monday my supervisor told me I was looking particulary thiner, I gave my low self esteem beating and made some comment. Didn't think much about it then today one of my co-workers said I lookd good today. Then while walking through the building I ran into someone I hadn't seen for awhile and she commented that we hadn't ran into each other and that she was seeing "Less" of me...... But wait there's more...at lunch someone who used to work next to my group walked by and commented on how much thinner I was looking.

    Friday Weigh Ins

217 for me this week my fill seems to be really helping out although I'm starting to be able to eat more than I was I hope this momentum holds out for a little longer. Couple observations...I used The 50 Million Pounds Challange to lose weight before my surgery and still track my weight on that site. Wellllll......today when I entered my 217 I looked at my weight a year ago and on 13 feb 2009 I was at 320 that makes 103 pounds in one year. Second observation since my consultation I've lost 111 pounds I'm 1/3 the man I used to be.

jerseygirl I'm in a similar situation...I've started eating yogurt with Protein Powder for Breakfast, today I'm going to try premade tuna salad in a cup I've been eating Soups at lunch the meat and soft veggies and dinner I made some meat with condensed mushroom Soup (don't add water) in the crockpot cooks it very tender. I've been adding sugar free popcicles of some sort in the evening or a Protein Shake. I also eat low fat piminto (sp) spread or cream cheese on Triscuts, I can only eat a couple of these but they go down ok and don't get stuck. I find the rules they've been telling us about all this time really have to be stuck to at this point that's why I was feeling so bad a few weeks ago eating to much, to big, not chewing... I still can't get a lot of Water and my milk consumption is down but a small meal last me a long time. The whole thing makes Kirk feel bad cause when he's home and we go out I order a side of mashed potatoes and eat a quarter of it.

I was that way during Dec and Jan didn't go up didn't go down. This last fill really gave me a lot of restriction, probably to much for the way I follow the rules, but it really kicked my weight loss back in to gear. Look at the basics and make sure you are still there track your food intake and relax you are doing great.

    anyone? anyone?

In the morning yogurt is about all I can get down and I have to wait till about 2 hours after I get up to eat it. It keeps me full till lunch so it's not a slider food for me at this time. I also eating Soups they stick with me for a log while also. I'm going to try tuna salad for lunch this weekend and hoping it won't get stuck. I've been enjoying some good weight loss but if I'm still this tight at my next appointment I'm going to get a bit taken out.

    anyone? anyone?

Knewme I'm sorry you didn't get the support you were looking for your original post, Help I'm Bored, didn't indicate to me that you were having issues. I didn't reply because my eating isn't anything exciting. At that time I ate piece of sausage or a scarmbled egg for Breakfast. lunch and dinners are usually a pot of something like thick chili or Beef and Barley stew and had one or two Protein shakes a day. Since then things have changed for me. I have a lot of restriction and eat mostly yogurt for breakfast with Protein powder. Lunch last week was Chili but I have problems with spice now this weekend I did a can of chunky Soup one can last me most of the weekend. Today I made a piece of shoulder steak (beef) in the crockpot with a can of mushroom soup over top of it, I'm hoping it will be tender enough to go down. I hope this helps. Your are right that just because we've been banded for 10 months we still need help every fill brings a different twist to our journey.

Just a quick note to let you guys know how I'm doing. I'm feeling great so far this morning I've had a yogurt that I added my protien mix to, I've been drinking milk and also had some milk and my daily 3oz of prune juice. So it must have been something to do with swelling when I went from strained soft soup to soft foods. I'm going to continue to be careful but I'm feeling a lot better.

Thanks for your concern he's in surgery all day today so I'm going to stick out the weekend and call on Monday..... I made my self stick much more to the rules today and felt a bit better. This morning I didn't have anything till my band told me it was OK I had a shake then and had a yogurt cup about an hour after. We had a lunch thing today; you'd have died laughing. I ordered the soup. When they came to our table the guy that brought the food had sat the big tray behind a pole and gave everyone their food. All I could see was this little 6oz or so bowl….fine with me...he ladles the soup form something else into this small bowl and places the bowl in front of me. Then brings out this bowl about 5 inches wide and 6 inches deep......I ate the small bowl and still have a quart to eat over the weekend. If you go to P.F. Changs the bowl of chicken noodle is huge.

    Friday Weigh Ins

Well I'm going down again.... but I'm still debating getting some of my fill from 1/12 taken out. I've been sick most days I've adjusted my habits a bit yesterday I got so sick when I took my pills I slimed for several hours and my belly hurt then about 8am it was like my band said OK now you can have that yogurt you brougt took me an hour to eat it. Had my 1/2 cup of mashed potatoes for lunch and felt a big tummy pain. By 5pm when I meet someone for dinner before support group I ate about 1/4 cup of my soup and again tummy ache. When I got home I did have a SF Fudge Pop then at bedtime I had a couple sips of milk had tummy ache and slime for about 4 hours into the night. On the other hand I'm now at 225 it's actually a bit below that but since I had only about 16oz of fluid it may be a bit dry..... so I'll post 225.
  16. Thanks Trisha that sounds a lot like what I'm going through I'm realy trying to cut back my protions even more than before and chew chew....
  17. Thanks Trisha I'm hoping that I don't have to have an unfill I seem very tight maybe it's just that I finally have that restriction we all want and don't know how to handle it. I'll keep you all posted.

Me and the Wii have not been meeting up like I'd like not the Wii's fault it's all me. The Fit Board sits there in the corner of the livingroom while I sit on my tail and complain that there's nothing on TV. Kirk will be very unhappy, no he'll be ok but he complains that I never use the stuff he gets me. I've done a few of the games on Wii Fit and tried the AE Sprots Active and done a couple partial workouts, they whooped my butt.
  19. I'm at 8.5 cc feeling the most restriction I've felt hope this will last a while and give me a good kick after 4 weeks of no loss..

    Friday Weigh Ins

As Martha would say Fills "are a good thing"....... Mine has been helping a lot this week now that I'm on strained Soup I can eat the bits but not the liquid...soft foods here I come...that's scary though because trying to get protien and low calorie on soft foods (mashed taters etc) good thing restriction will only let me eat about the 1/4-1/2 cup we are suppose to. I hung on to my 228 this week it's about DANG time it's been a month since I registered any loss. I debated updating my tracker with my secondary goal but decided to wait till I actually got to my first one.

NOt official Friday Weigh in time but I'm so excited I had to post when I got home from work today I was a 228.6!!! Wait that's not the end you know I'm compulsive aobut weighing in I did my return home from work potty (sorry if TMI) and I was at 228 even. WooHoo!!!!! I'm really feeling restriction after this last fill, I'm actually at that 1/4 to 1/2 cup of food I'm eating soft soups now so I hope it won't be an issue once I go on solid food but right now I'm feeling ok.

No he isn't at that point yet they are currently watching his BP and for symptoms of shutdown. He knows what to expect though his mother was a couple times she rejected her first transplant and had to go back on dialysis till she got another kidney. They actually put a dialysis room in their housw when he was a teenager his mom was a nurse practicner (sp) and his dad was an EMT so there was medical background that enabled them to do it at home. Glad your hubby is doing well....what a great gift.
