Well, when I did work full-time and lived away from home with my then hubby, I would take my little girl to day care an hour early, so I could get my workout in and go to work. Back then I worked 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm (odd shift). We were stationed down in Southern Cali at that time and I would use the base child-care center. My hubby worked a grave yard shift, so our daughter spent part-time at day-care. We placed her at the base child-care when she was two-months old up to two-years old and then we left military life. After that, and our daughter was still little, we moved back home and had family available to assist us. And again hubby worked nights and I worked days, so that we used less day-care and both of us had time to work out. It was really hard though and when our second child came along, 4.5 years after the first child, I gave up on exercising. I was no longer a priority. :-(

Oh yeah, Dr. Phil mentioned that on the show today. He stated he no way no how bought a house for her or rented a house for her. That they just did the interview in the house. She has new PR person. Some guy.

Oh gross me out! I just watched part one of Dr. Phil and it was interesting. Octo-mom states that the social workers are in touch with her to figure out where all the kids are going to live. Thank goodness CPS is reviewing the case. Plus, octo-mom stated that three of the babies are coming home in a couple of weeks. :tt2: Dr. Phil, was being nice to her and trying to get her the help she needs, but you can tell he is frustrated with her.

Alright, I saw my new gynecologist yesterday. Finally, I female doctor who knows about female hormones. Anyway, I spent over an hour with my new doctor discussing my concerns and medical history. Plus, we did the pap exam, breast exam, heart, lungs, and lymph nodes exam. It was to funny, when she was pressing on my belly to see if I was hurting anywhere. I always forget about the port. So she is pressing and pressing. And she says, what on earth happened here and she was pressing and pressing. And truly it took me a couple of seconds to figure out what she meant. Then she says what is that lump and I say ohhhhhhhhhh that is my port and really you shouldn't pressing it like that. Anyway, she knows it is my hormones. So I did blood work this morning for FSH. Follicle-stimulating hormone - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Plus, Thyroid again. Plus, sugar test and several other tests. And it appears the cysts are back on the right ovary again and the cyst on the right breast needs to be checked again. So my mammo and ultrasound are scheduled for next month. Bloody hell old age is hard to deal with! I see the doctor again next week to discuss the blood result tests.

LOL!!! This is the truth. We will see how much love is flowing when she has 14 teenagers all hating her or wanting stuff.

Okay, I confess...it was me yelling at her. Me from California. A California tax payer who is pissed off at acto-momma.

Do you guys remember the Chandra Levy story in which she was an intern having an affiar with a married U.S. Legislator? I heard something that she got pregnant from him and was hoping to start of life with him, but I am not sure it that was true. Anyway, she turned up dead in a park and her case went on for years without any arrests. Well, supposedly they find someone, only 8 years later, they are going to arrest for her murder. Anyone torn between Gastric Bypass and LB
TQUAD64 replied to Jodi73's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I was totally on the fence when I first started the process. I started January 2008 and thought I want gastric banding. But as I read the posts on this forum, I thought I better go with gastric by-pass. Then I started reading medical journals on WLS procedures and from those reports, I thought I would be better off with the band. I was going back and forth with my decision. Talk about being scared about my decision. With my insurance you get one procedure for life. So if the band does not work for weight loss, my insurance will not cover the expense to have another type of WLS procedure. And vice-a-versa. I attended support groups and informational seminars too! When it was all said and done, I decided I wanted the band for several reasons: Less evasive Quicker recovery Slower weight loss No issues with Vitamin deficiencies No cutting up my insides I am very happy with my decision and I have no regrets so far! Good luck with your decision! -
Yep, I get at least 1,400 to 1,500 calories in a day. I really think it has to do with hormone levels. There are just too many symptoms going on all at once. I cannot wait to meet with the gynecologist tomorrow morning.

1 week post op..and i am confused
TQUAD64 replied to iwalktheline's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't know about that Jachut. My doctor placed me on clear liquids after surgery for over a week. However, if I couldn't see through it, then I could not have it, liquid or not. -
Yep, his cell-buddy ratted on him. Plus, in Cali, where this guy is currently locked up at, you have to submit a DNA sample, so I bet that's how the got the link. But still, how long can DNA last at a crime scene that is outside for a year? That is what is confusing me.

He is married now, but at the time hes was dating Octo-mom he was not married, but she was. That GMA interview/story states that California Court records show her divorce went through January 2008. Just last year. Very weird, since she has all those kids, while she was married. I am so confused now???:w00t:
-
Well according to GMA article I posted, she has a donation from some California Angel something ot other. They are giving her a place to stay and will provide 12 care-givers to help raise the kids. They estimate it will cost $135K a month.
-
Maybe his sperm donation was filled with blanks. His wife is really ticked off. I guess she never new and he never told her before they were married. That would tick me off too!

I had to do a medically supervised diet program for 6-months. I saw the nutritionist and or my PC. I saw who ever I could fit into my crazy schedule and I saw them at least once a month. Anyway, they had a template document that they completed each time I saw them, which logged in my weight and the type of exercise I was doing. Plus, we discussed nutrition. However, regarding the exercise, they just documented what I told them I was doing. I did not have to bring in proof of what I was doing. I used my tread mill at home. And more insurance accepted this.

I ended up staying 2.5 days with complications. I was sheculed to stay just over night. All is well now!

1 week post op..and i am confused
TQUAD64 replied to iwalktheline's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would be careful right now with the post-op diet. It is important to follow your doctor's instructions. If you should be on liquids, then get back to the liquids. Call your doctor about the port pain and let him/her know that you are consuming foods that are not part of the liquid phase. Your small pouch is swollen and in recovery mode. When you eat solids or mushies your stomach has to digest those foods down. The digestion makes your stomach work, when it should be healing. I wish Restless was here she has such great analogy for this. Something about the turning and churning like a washing machine but its your stomach doing the work. I know the post-op diet liquid phase sucks!!! Increase your liquid Protein. Talk to your doctor. -
I buy the adult Tylenol liquid blast at Wal-Mart. It works fast, but tastes yukie.

Psych eval- Anyone declined for it?
TQUAD64 replied to JWL08's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have read people post on this forum that they had to go through additional therapy in order to have the surgery. That their first pysch eval did not go well. Now those cases are few and far between. I spent around 30 minutes speaking to the pysch evaluator about all things Band. He was very knowledgable, but so was I. He wanted to gage whether or not I knew what I was getting myself into. Then, I spent another 40 or so minutes answering around 150-200 T/F questions, such as: Do you follow directions Are you happy Do you hate yourself Are you suicidal -
Who thinks the liver shrinking diet is a made up torture tool

I think it is a method to weed out people. Who can follow the rules and who really wants it bad enough. -
6 month supervised diet
TQUAD64 replied to Oceannites's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What does your insurance require? What is their policy? My insurance will not approve below a BMI of 40 with no other medical issues. So during the 6-month diet, I was told by the nurse case manager for my insurance company that if I went below a 40BMI they would not approve. It was very stressful for me not gaining but not losing to much. Crazy! Now, not all insurance companies are like the insurance I have. Some take your first weigh in during the supervised diet and others take your first weigh in with the bariatric surgeon. That is why it is important to find out what the policy is for your specific insurance.
