I ahve been banded since 11/08 and my diabetes is better. My doc has been able to take me off 2 of my meds and gaol is to get off all meds. For me it has been a slow process but well worth it even if it is only 1 less pill I have to take. Diet has stayed the same but less food. I have restriction now which is wonderful!!! Meds go down fine except for metformin....I have to crush it and it tastes nasty. Oh well what a price to pay:)

Breads are pretty obsolete for me now but last night I had half a BLT and put it on very well toasted honey wheat bread and it went down ok.

I got my fourth fill on Wednesday and I definately feel restriction. I may have to Fly to California at anytime due to a emergrncy and I am wondering how flying affects the band??? Thanks in advance for comments

I too have had this concern but I think its a little of both. I have had to adjust to things like chewing better, not gulping water and etc...this last fill for me gave me restriction and I dont want to give it back
