  1. ---------------------------------- YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!:tt2: JulieAnn.... YOU ARE ROCKIN'!!!
  2. CyndyG... Here's hoping you better very soon!
  3. I went back to work after two weeks and took it slow (desk job). I was just fine. Much Success To You!
  4. Oh boy.... I feel your pain! My last fill has apparently really kicked in - things I used to eat aren't all agreeing with me!:tongue_smilie: A few days after the fill - I ate a boiled egg for breakfast and I am soooo glad I have a private office, cause I didn't know what was happening - I started walking back and forth and finally ran to the garbage can - what a relief! Wow.
  5. Yep, you are certainly still in this race! You are sooo human, and have taken the first step - Confession / Truth! I was 1st and foremost to get a good nutritionist to help with an ongoing eating plan. Speak with your doc... DO NOT PANIC! Ask for and TAKE his/her advice. I can remember a few weeks into it - thinking to myself, "What the heck have I done!" But, I wouldn't change it for anything. I feel so good about my health. Feels awesome to not be the biggest think walking into every room I enter. Best of luck to you! You Can Do This.
  6. Welcome Seanie!! WOW!! Everyone is doing so very well!!! Amazing! Julie, thank you for sharing. I have really increased my fruit and Activa Fiber Yogurt consumption. I fell so good about myself. For Real I haven't been counting calories or anything. The doc I'm currently enrolled with for fills just tells me to try to eat as normal as my DH; to try to eat half of what I'm used to - skip the fries, etc. and get some exercise. I'm continuing to walk at work - but not as much as I could. I walk on the treadmill a bit - but not as much as I could. Can't wait for the weather to break for long walks with DH on the walking trail and bike riding. Folks at work are really questioning me - they are like WOW! And I am like... thanks!
  7. CONGRATS TO YOU!!! BTW: I only had minimal pain for a few days (felt better the more I walked). You will NOT regret it!!
  8. Hello and glad to see you back. I have been thinking this weekend about going in for a 3rd fill very soon. I believe I'll email the doc and let him know I've been losing and gaining the same 1.5 lbs for a few weeks and that I can almost eat anything I want (well, sort of); I know I am eating more in quantity than I should.
  9. Julie! :thumbup:OMG... Your stats are amazing!! Continued Success to You on this journey!
  10. I haven't told anyone at work outside of the two original folks.... I have wanted to tell so many times, especially since I am getting plenty of questions regarding weight loss during the day; I am doing a whole lot more walking for exercise thru the facility (instead of sitting 80% of th day). My family & friends of the family know. I hope to keep it that way.
  11. :thumbup:CONGRATS!!!
  12. My prayers for your health during this difficult time. Take all advice given by your Docs & please take all of your meds. I agree about the amazing meds available these days for nausea. You now have a huge amount of folks praying for your success in all areas. Bless you
  13. ------------ Yes!! I've cleaned out my entire closet and found several sizes! As of this weekend, I've found out that the last of the smallest sizes I was holding on to, are now getting loose - as KarenK stated. Went shopping today and bought a new suit a size I haven't worn in at least 15 years! OMG! Best of luck and much success to each of you!! These are certainly called sweet NSV's!
  14. -------------------------- Best of luck to you with your insurance approval.. It will be over b4 you know it! As far as my health, I just feel sooo much better these days. Mentally, I can think clearer; I need much less sleep than before - not napping all weekend, etc.; I actually have energy! I receive tons of encouragement from these boards.
  15. ----------- This is sooo true! I would do so much better if I'd drink more water - thanks for extra push!
  16. Wow! Everyone is doing so well on the weigh-ins! This is so encouraging... Keep losing & sharing!!
  17. ------------------------------------------------ Now that's an awesome NSV!!! ------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------- Anne... I am so glad you back home & up and going again!
  18. :thumbup:Ditto!!:tongue2: :lol:Ditto!!:cheated:
  19. ---------------------------- Bimbabe! Your photos are amazing...Thank you for sharing & Continued Success to You!:cheated:
  20. Hello! I so know exactly what you mean. We got a flyer last month for clothing, etc. pick in January. This gave a chance to stop making excuses and go ahead clean my closet of all the 'many' sizes in it. I had 2 extremely large bags filled to the brim! They were picked up over a week ago. I looked in my closet this weekend and I am amazed there are still some things that too big and I just can't really wrap my head around my new size and 'believe' it. Thanks for sharing... it made me think.
  21. Kla_Ann.... CONGRATS!!! You will be amazed how quickly the time will pass & you'll be asking questions about your pre-op diet & reading to see what others haven packed for the hospital. Best of luck to you!!
  22. -------------- Dr. Laker was my surgeon, he was awesome! The surgery staff and nutritionist... Great! The hospital is ok - they took care of my needs. I was well educated on what to expect and ask for (got all of that info from these boards). :tongue2:
  23. Updated photos: 1st photo 04/2008; 2nd photo 09/2008; 3rd photo 11/2008; 4th photo 01/2009
  24. CONGRATS ON YOUR APPROVAL!!:tongue2: I keep a box of Kellogg's Special K2O Iced Tea Protein Water Mix in my office and add them to my water all day. I pick these up at Walmart. Good Luck to you!
  25. KarenK/LoneStarLoser, thanks for the bike-reminder..... DH & I purchased a set last summer and rode them no more than 4x's. I just didn't have the energy - I told him everytime we went out to the bike trail. You have given me another hope for spring time; Now that I have some energy and have been doing much better on the treadmill, I know I can my tail on that bike and some exercise in. Last year, I'd get on it and sweat and breath so hard, that I would walk with the bike and not ride. Oh boy. This is good incentive and when the snow finally melts, I'll be ready for DH!! Enjoy your bikes!
