  1. yes good idea! i have made my own. much cheaper!
  2. That is so true! All the little things add up to be big things! Congrats to you!
  3. nothing fancy for me. My nutritionist suggested Shiny Leaf Bariatric multivitamin with 45mg iron. They are not as expensive as some of the others. i like them. Normal capsule size, not huge, easy to swallow and dissolve quickly after you swallow them. My numbers at my Dr visits have all been in the normal range.
  4. every 3 months for the first year
  5. I didnt understand that i was supposed to take this medication for the first 3 months after the surgery. I thought they were on an as needed basis so i never took them. I read up on the effects and like you decided not to take them. Im glad i didnt!
  6. That is so amazing!!! Congratulations to you! God is great!!!
  7. i bought an expensive unflavored protein powder and believe me, you do not want to add it to plain water!!! YUCK!!!
  8. I agree with you! i have done very little exercise. It is mostly just what we put in our mouths, and cutting back on the quantity of food we eat that makes us lose weight. Of course i would never tell anyone not to exercise because we all need it for our joints and cardiovascular system, but as far as losing weight i have found it to be not all that important.
  9. Sorry you were so sick!! Even with the sleeve, we have to remember not to eat too fast! Ive done this and regretted it for about an hour as someone else mentioned above. No matter what surgery, when we eat something so delicious, we all have to remember to eat slooooowwwwllllly! I suppose we should look at it with the idea that we should savor that food that tastes so good rather than scarf it down.
  10. Celebrate Balance pre and probiotic in one
  11. I agree. I have problems eating chicken breast the first time around let alone reheating it. Actually a good piece of steak goes down easier than chicken for me!
  12. It's not just you! I have read that you should avoid the microwave as it dries food out making it harder for your stomach to break down. Its just a matter of how dry the food is, so maybe add a liquid when you can, or cover your items like chicken etc with a damp paper towel?
  13. Are you sure you are supposed to take vitamins right after surgery? i would ask your nutritionist. Mine held vitamins until about 1 month after surgery and at that time said i could take a regular capsule. You can take any form of protein either ready made shakes or use protein powder.
  14. Congratulations and good luck on your surgery!!! As long as the scale is going down, it doesn't matter how quickly we lose the weight!
  15. i very much agree with you, congrats on no longer being diabetic. That is the greatest news! I would have done the surgery many years earlier if i would have taken my primary care doctor more seriously when he first suggested it!!! Some times i have to refrain from giving others my input if they are overweight. It is just such an amazing tool, i wish everyone with a weight problem would consider having the surgery cuz i know what it has done for me and so many of us on here.
  16. Start taking body measurements if you haven't already. Every month i take my monthly picture, and then take my body measurements. Sometimes even though the scale may not move as fast as we like, you will notice a difference in inches lost. I agree with others on here, don't obsess over the scale. I have to remind myself of this also. I still weigh myself daily but dont record my weight if it is the same. As everyone always says, stick with the program and amazing things will happen for you!!!
  17. I think you were one of the lucky ones. Ive also taken all my protein, vitamins, ate what i was supposed to etc and my hair is still falling out. Doesnt matter how we eat, it is just a natural thing that happens after losing so much weight so quickly. Happens to many but not all of us. It was also one of the best decisions ive made even though my hair is falling out. Ive lost 65lbs in 5 months and loving every minute of it! I feel (and look) so much better! Hair grows back. I feel better than i have in many years!
  18. Wow, what a difference!!! You look spectacular!
  19. Follow user Sleeveto bypass2023. She is very knowledgeable
  20. Congrats and welcome to the journey!!
  21. I agree with catwoman7, pretty positive its gas pain.
  22. This is so true about starvation mode. I too was afraid to up my calories and in effect put myself into starvation mode and my weight loss stalled. As soon as i upped the calories, the weight started coming off again!!!
  23. My nutritionist said she loves Premier Protein shakes and said i could drink them the rest of my life!

I would definitely mention this to your primary care/gynecologist. Could be unrelated to the surgery. TMI.....Im actually enjoying it again as Mr. can find his way down there much easier with less fat rolls!
