  1. Fantastic!! Great news! Now back to losing weight and winning in your journey!
  2. I totally agree with you, I should have done this about 8 years earlier! And your right, whenever i "think" i miss cookies, coca cola etc, i remind myself that those foods are poison to your body!! Listen to your weight loss team and stick with the plan!
  3. Just think.......we all have matching scars!!!!! PS my surgeon used the robot as well and he is the Medical director for Bariatric surgery at the hospital he works at! I trust him whole heartedly!!!!
  4. Congrats!!!! Your journey begins!
  5. Hang in there Layla. I know that someone will figure this out for you. I'm sorry you are having such a hard time with your recovery. Don't give up!!!! There is a Dr out there who will know what to do for you. I can't imagine how frustrated you must feel but just try to keep taking care of yourself and know that a positive outcome will come your way.
  6. You look spectacular! Way to go!!! Congrats
  7. I agree with everyone! Just stick to the plan! Also, sometimes we need to put the scale away in order to not get discouraged! Ive also heard people mention you cant just pay attention to the scale, but if you are losing inches then that is a big deal also!!!
  8. I just said this today to one of my coworkers!!!! Its a great NSV!
  9. That is awesome that you are no longer insulin dependent! Congrats!
  10. I so agree with you!!! its an awesome NSV!
  11. you look fabulous!!! We are the same height and started at about the same weight. My surgery was 4/12/23 and i hope in a year i look as great as you do!!!
  12. Sorry i meant 4/12ers!
  13. any 2/12ers out there?
  14. April 12 here! So excited and ready to start this journey!
  15. Ive read that other people have suggested Air freshener, your own toiletries including biotin spray and mouthwash, heating pad, lotion, ear plugs, medicine list, cell phone/charger, chap stick, comfy clothes, spare underwear in case of accidents, extension cord, sanitary hand wipes, your own pillow, and a small pillow to place by abdomen for support(especially for car ride home. You can put it between your abdomen and the seat belt), and an abdominal support wrap, and anything that will make you comfortable ie your own blankie, stuffed animal etc. I was also thinking about bringing my own clear liquid like protein20, and sipping broth from bariatricPal. I also have a binder of info that my surgeon wants me to bring to the hospital. Hope this helps someone else out!
