  1. My first thought is how many calories are you getting each day. Are you eating breakfast early in the morning to get your metablolism going. Loosing weight is a good thing and wouldn't make me think a thyroid problem, but it could be. It is good that your hemoglobin was good enough to give blood so your right I wouldn't think you were anemic. Do you take a multivitamin everyday? I take 2 flinstone Vitamins I got when I got banded because I wanted chewable (and let's face it I love flinstone vitamins!)

Have you been feeling less happy? Have you ever had a problem with depression in the past.

Well those are my ideas. I don't blame you for going to the doctor. Losing 55 lbs should give you more energy not less.

Let us know how it goes!

Thanks for your advice. I think eating a better breakfast is a good idea. I think maybe im not eating enough. I am on anti depression meds.

I let you know what doc says thanks again.

  2. Hi Cyndy,

You are looking great! I don't have any advice for you. I just wanted to comment about how nice you look.

The last suggestions sounded pretty good to me. Are you getting any exercise? That may make you feel better.

Thanks, yes I exercise almost everyday. You are looking good also. I see your almost to your goal.

    Take Care!

  3. Hello fellow bandsters! Its been a while since Ive posted. I need a little advice. I was banded Oct. 27 and have lost 55lbs yeah me, but ive been feeling so tired and rundown. I donated blood the other day and now I feel worse almost like the flu but Ive been feeling like this for about 2 weeks. My Iron is great. I was wondering if anyone else is feeling this way? I hate calling the office. So this is my last resort before calling them.

Ive had about 4 fills and have 8.1cc in my band. Ive had one episode of something being stuck. ouch!!

  4. Hello Oct. Band. It has been a hard road. Im down to 200lbs cant wait to be onederland. Ive had some back issues so working out has been hard. I miss CARBS! But fitting into smaller sizes makes it all worth it. Ive had 3 fills about 7.2cc and am scheduled for another next month. Hunger is hitting me a lot. I hope this is the last fill for a while. With last one I started to start to feel full sooner. Ive lost more inches then I thought I would. It feels great.

    Keep on Keepin on! Everyone.

I just realized Im half way to my goal. Yeah me! I hope I can make it by summer.

Good luck to you all. God Bless

  5. It's so great everyone is doing so well. Im so excited that were all starting to see changes.

nrpnrp It was so nice to meet you. I hope I'll see you again at meetings. Im at a stand still too, I think after that first big weight drop you expect it to be like that always but, I think our body is like hey what are you doing here! We need to just hang in there. I really need to start excercising Ive not been doing it on a reagular basis unless you concider once a week a routine lol:rolleyes2:. I just got 5 free weeks to curves and Im starting Mon. Im sure that should help start things going again.

Good luck to all you losers out there.

  6. Ok I am a little frustrated right now. I went out to dinner and the waitress was saying how she's lost so much weight and my cute little daughter says my Mom lost 24lbs. She had surgery. Well the waitress says "Well I did the hard way". What nerve.:rolleyes2: and my DH says you have to give her credit. Yes and I think I deserve just as much credit! Can you believe that. Like what I'm going thru and what I'm doing isn't hard. I still have an open wound and it's been 2 1/2 weeks.

Sorry I just needed to vent a little.

  7. Hey all it's been 4 days since I was banded. Not to much pain. I haven't had problems with gas really. Right after surgery I was crying a saying I want it out of me it hurt so bad. (Im not good with pain). But Im fine now. Ive been very depressed for some reason. I keep crying and I don't know why.

Im trying to get all my liquids but its hard. Ive lost a total of 17lbs which makes me happy but, Im just feeling blah. I thought I would be excited and happy but I don't. Its hard to eat I have to make myself eat.

Oh well I know I'll get thru this. Just not what I expected to feel.

  8. Hi everyone! Day 2 on the pre-op liquid diet. I think I might have been a little overconfident yesterday. :) I'm finding that I'm STARVING at about 4pm every day and late at night too. I'm also finding it weird that all the stuff I can eat (excluding soup/tomato juice) is sweet. I don't like sweet things very much. It's been weird. I'm relying on very thin cream of wheat a couple of times a day which the nutritionist said was fine. Thank Goodness!!!!

Other than my liquid obsession, I'm doing good. I don't have a whole lot of energy in the afternoon, but the mornings seem to be really good. My surgery day is on the 21st and I'm getting so excited. It's less than two weeks away.

Best wishes to all of those banded and those to come! Everyone is doing great!!!!!

We have the same bandate! Im on day 5 of my liquid hell. My docter said 2 week diet for me. I can only have broth, suger free Popsicle 3oz of lean meat and 1/2 cup veggies, oh and don't forget 2 protien shakes a day. I did just check my wieght and have lost 6.5lbs very encouraging. Good luck and we should keep in touch.

  9. CyndyG,

I feel you are discourage with the liquid diet...but for me after I got to day 3 it was much easier...just stay busy and try not to obsess about what you are having to do. I was just banded and of still on the liquid diet. I can't imagine someone not being on a liquid diet and having to deal with what you are going through now plus the "body shock" of the surgery. It is going to pay off!! I lost 19 pounds on my 2 week preop and so glad i did...that's 19 down that I don't have to lose now.

I know how you are feeling! Those first two days i was so miserable and hungry and then a friend called on the third day and say "well how much weight have you lost" I was like I don't know and don't care i'm just hungry! Who cares! but I did go weigh and I had lost like 4 lbs and then I got excited and motivated! stick with it you can do it!

Thanks for the encouragement MississippiGirl. I am on day 5 and it's getting better. I haven't checked my weight but sounds like a good idea. Im finding that I do have a lot of head hunger. Im use to eating food at certain times but not really hungry in my tummy. The hardest part is having to feed my children and not being able to eat. The smells drive me crazy:drool:.

Well off to drink some more.

  10. Good luck to all surgeries this week! Its so great hearing how everyone is going through surgery so well. It gives the people (me) hope who haven't had it yet.

Im on day 2 of my liquid diet:scared2: Im starving!!! I do think its good that I have to do this so I'll be use to it by the time of surgery. :cry_smile:But Im still starving!! My doctor also puts us on an exercise regimen. I can't wait to see the pounds melt away.

I also was raised on southern cooking. :drool:Creamed peas yum!! And everything fried!! I'll miss it but it will be so worth the sacrifice.

You are all in my prayers.

  11. Wow! renewedhope! You look great. I start my liquids tomorrow and I've been feeling really depressed for some reason. Your pics gave me the hope I need to get through this. The last couple weeks I have gained all my weight back from my 6 month diet for the surg. (I had lost 15lbs).:tongue2: I know its just nerves but old habits die hard. I need to find a new way to deal with nerves. Any way Im ready for liquids. Today is my birthday and Im celebrating the begining of my new life.

Good luck to all thoughs having surgery this week. My prayers are with you!
