Slim n TN
I definately think there is some jealousy going on. Unfortunately not everyone wants to see you thinner and healthier. Oh, well you have to do what is right for you!

NurseKY:
I really don't get it! A person who is overweight and is having Angina certainly should qualify for this procedure, no questions! The insurance companies still don't get it. This is a procedure that, in the end, will decrease your risk for heart dz, diabetes, Cancer among other issues.
I just get so frustrated with the ins. companies. !

Thanks! I just got mine!

Anne,
Let me know the status of your insurance, mine went in yesterday as well.

I agree with Lanakila, this is a great oppertunity to get rid of any and all bad habits. I think a drink in the future will be fine, but, not right now when you are trying to establish a new, healthier lifestyle.

Hello,
I am not an expert, but I am a Nurse Practitioner. It sounds as though you may have a hematoma, in which case you need to see your md, if he refuses, go to the ER NOW!

Hi everyone,
I have changed my mind again! When I first attended the seminar in May, I was convinced that I would get the lapband or realize band.
I really would like to have the surgery and be done with it, no returning for fills or anything. Also, I am prediabetic and my whole family on mom's side is diabetic. RNY is a CURE for diabetes, so I am going with that.
The paperwork will be submitted to the ins. co. today, so now it is a waiting game.
-
Oh, isn't that something everyone has to go through, if you want ins. to pay?

Love the viedo diary, I can't wait until 08/31!!

Good for you. I cannot wait for this to begin!

Hang in there! You are doing a great job!

Shopping for clothes! It is so depressing to have to get larger and larger sizes. Also, I do not like to wear anything too reveiling and at 44, that is difficult, since I live in HOTlanta!
I am looking forward to wearing different clothes!:wink2:

My psych clearence just went thru yesterday, so they will most likely submit the paperwork next week...
I heard BCBS of RI gives an answer in 24 hours, so I am keeping my fingers crossed for the end of Sept.

Thanks! That really helps. My BMI was 39.4 in 2003 amd 40+ since then...that is another concern, it has not been at 40+ for a full 5 years, are they really picky?
