Thanks for checking out my blog. yes, i went with the RNY. I have prediabetes and the RNY is a cure for diabetes. That is really the main reason.

Hello, wow you are back to work already? Good for you. I changed my mind and had RNY for several reasons. The main one is that I am "prediabetic" and RNY has been shown to be a cure for diabetes. The lapband may help me loose weight, but if I were to ever develop diabetes, I would need to have the RNY, I just didn't want to have to deal with that. Also, I am super busy, a Nurse Practitioner, and I didn't want to have to deal with scheduling for fills.

Frost is my favorite. Oh, yes, I am soooo hungry. Mostly head hunger.

I had surgery on 10/14, I am doing well, just dealing with gas pains. It is weird, when I came from the hospital, I weighed 275! But I just weighed this morning and I am 259!!!:thumbup:

I walked 2 times a day in the hospital, because I was bored. I am doing protein drinks and soy milk. It is hard getting the water in though, how about you?

I did very well, I am home, trying to take in all the protein and water. I am glad the surgery part is over.

Gas pains!! AAAAAAGGGGGHHH! I am dying from gas pains, other than that, no problems, no hunger, no other pain.

Today is fine, I am not hungry, but as I said in my PM to you, the neomycin is just rough. Now that I am at the point of taking it every 4 hours, I am okay. You start your preop tomorrow, right?:thumbup:

My doctor is having me go on clear liquids for 2 days before surgery. He also is putting me on neomycin, which is an antibotic which kills the bacteria in the colon. Every physician is different, though.

Yes, my Bimini is so spoiled, as she should be. Yes, only 4 more day, I am so excited. I went for my preop yesterday, pretty uneventful, just took a medical history and about 10 vials of blood.

How are you??!! We are getting so close. I had my preop yesterday, it was mainly paperwork, the anethesiologist discussed what she would do. Then they took about 10 vials of blood. Not too bad, the whole thing took about an hour. Let me know howyour preop goes!
