To be honest with you, I'm not certain which incision is my port. (I was just banded on Aug 12th). Tomorrow my staples come off, I'll ask the surgeon about the port. I think it's the longest incision which is about 4inches above my belly button.
Good luck tomorrow!!

I have a similar medical card from my Doc. We are planning a family vacation to Disney in December. We have ordered the meal plan. I called the dining number and explained the situation and they changed my plan from an adult to a child! The person I spoke with said I will have to order from the childs menu...Not a problem.

I was banded on Aug 12th. I am still in the mushie stage, but yesterday went
out to eat with my 8 yr old son. I haven't had much of an appetite since the surgery but yesterday I was STARVING!!!!. I ate some french fries. Figured if I chewed them well all would be ok. Not so.. I felt sick all night. Not sure if it was actually sick from eating the fries or from guilt because I veered off the diet. Oh well. I'm back on the mushies and feel ok now.

I could have low fat yogurt on my liquid diet. I added different flavor carb solution high Protein powders to the yogurt to give it taste. I made it through the 10 days!

It's going well. I've lost 22 lbs already but i'm still on the liquid post op diet.
The doc tells me I will probably gain some back when I proceed with the soft/full diet.
So far, no troubles. Minimal pain.

Hi,
I had my banding done on August 12th by Dr. Adam Glasgow. He and his dad
Arthur make a wonderful team. They are caring people.
The office crew are also wonderful. Kind and efficient.
I had my first seminar meeting on June 23rd. Throughout July and August I did my bloodwork, sleepstudy, nutrition and psych counseling. I was ready for surgery on the 12th of August.
So far I have lost 22 lbs...between the preop and post op diet.

Drs. Adam and Arthur Glasgow, Norwood, MA are great. I think they've done about 100 lap bands over the past two and a half years. They're caring, and they have great staff, and offer pre-surgical lap band seminar, as well as post surgery lap band support groups.Good luck.
Sue
I agree. They did my band earlier this month.

Glad everything went well for you! I was hooked up to an IV for 24hrs. I went home the evening after my surgery. I found gas to be a bigger problem than pain.
Hope all goes well. Keep grinning!!!!!

Hello,
I'm Donna. From Massachusetts. I was banded on the 12th.

This may sound crazy, I'm not certain which incision is my port incision. The main incision (longest incision) is sometimes painful. I have staples still in- they'll be removed next Monday. I'll have to ask which incision is which. I can't feel the port. Is this normal?

I see my surgeon for my 2 week post op appointment next Monday. He has assured me that he does all the fills himself.
