  1. I see you're on the lower end of the BMI scale when it comes to bariatric patients! I had a few "exceptions" too because I got down to a certain size. It seems it varies person to person
  2. Thanks guys. I do hit all my nutritional goals! I've been paranoid about not following everything exactly as the book says. A few days of eating less shouldn't hurt. 😊 & I'll add avocado on a day where I get a little TOO low.
  3. Tbh, I'm not a fan of bariatric cook books as many tend to recycle the same stuff (don't get me started on all those authors who act like they invented the ricotta cheese bake lol) I find that you can find everything & more on YouTube! Also Pinterest if you want to read your recipes instead.
  4. Mini Pita pizza! 211cals, 22g of protein. Highly recommend the Joseph's brand for the pita. So soft & delicious
  5. I'm in charge of making buñuelos de viento this Christmas (it's like a Mexican funnel cake & with a sugar cinnamon mix on top. Not my photos but they'll look like this) I will still make them as I am confident I'll only have 1 or 2 that night & I'll enjoy seeing my family have the rest!

    Onederland

I get a lot of weight related videos on Tiktok, I'll see certain girls & think "ah yeah she looks like me!" (in a good, relatable way) only to find out they weigh 40-70lbs more than me. I don't think I'm used to being a smaller size yet, I still relate to the bigger girls way more than the girls who wear my current size. I think I will always feel big until I get close to my final weight goal. If not, I'll definitely have to seek tharapy

    Stomach feels weird

So a lot of people experience changes in their food tolerance after surgery & that might just be what you're experiencing. Eggs are a common one for people too so don't worry! I would suggest avoiding any foods causing any weird feeling or discomfort & try them again in a later food stage. Your body will keep changing & adapting. Discovering what your body wants during this time is a huge learning process!

    7 days post op issues

I was in the same boat as you! I did not feel tightness until I moved onto soft/solids as the liquids just went through me. And don't worry about your stomach stretching, trust me you'd FEEL it! You'd have to be eating solids & a TON of them for that to happen. In my opinion you have nothing to worry about, you are Just having an easier time than others! We got lucky with that

    Minimal Weight Loss

Make sure you track inches! I only lost 4lbs in my 2nd month (had a medication & hormone change) but I lost a whole pant size! Progress is more than the number on the scale 😊
  12. I eat very little carbs but I make sure they're SUPER PACKED with Fiber. Fiber Gourmet products have been a life saver for me, its been helping me normalize my bowel movements!
  13. I went straight to the XL section & ended up leaving with Mediums & Large size clothes. I will never get used to not seeing an X on my tags!
  14. The ones I use are clear tabs so they're nearly invisible! Especially when I have my hair down as the tape used on the neck tends to get pulled near the ears. & they stay on as long as you use them before moisturizer or makeup! (I find them on Amazon) I also use skin colored kinesiology tape (what boob tape is made out of) as that sticks even better even through sweat/heat. I HAVE to wear my hair down w that one though
  15. I have a skin condition related to skin friction & that already helps me qualify for skin removal thankfully!! I think I will get my tummy & arms done as both areas are affected. I have loose skin on my thighs too but I have no problem trying to fill them out with muslce I also wish to get my neck done but that's out of my budget. I'm trying to sneakily hide it with face lift tape & I like it so far!

    Does it get easier?

I'm 3 months out. I am finally able to include things like carbs & it brought back A LOT of normalcy for me. I am also able to eat about 3-1/2 to 4 ounces of food which fills up a small bowl & visually it helps me a ton. It took me about 2-1/2 months for me to finally feel like myself again. It will come! It will get easier & having access to your old healthy favorites will bring comfort. I promise!
  17. Thank you for this. The 'honeymoon phase' thing just makes me feel like my body has a deadline. It's not very encouraging
  18. That sounds wonderful! There's something real nice about having a comfort food while being restricted. I don't take it for granted now
  19. My current addiction. 3oz of tuna (80cals) light mayo (25cals) & 20g of Fiber Gourmet Thinables crackers (42cals) A plate of delicious beige haha (also check out my cute Pikachu fork)

    Post op complications

Agreed with everyone else. This sounds much more than just a simple water sensitivity. I hope doctors are able to help you!

    Eating slow

Eating fast is my main issue. Idk if mine stems from my old food addiction but I tend to have a problem making my meals last more than 15mins. I think I just get too excited to eat, it doesn't cause me to overeat but I do think it's part of my mental process. Maybe yours has to do with that too? There may be something we both have to address mentally with our relationship with food.
  22. I feel that even if they do end up finding you have PCOS or another hormone related issue, they might still not refer you to the WLS program as you're only two BMI points away from being out of the 'obese' category. However I would fight your endo a little bit more. While you may not have full blown pcos it's obvious you ARE dealing with some symptoms that could possibly be adjusted with medication. I would also ask your doctor about meds like Ozempic! You're close to being at a normal weight got your height & I feel that could help jump start it for you!

    Always cold!!!!

Did you find Summer time was more bearable? I would always overheat in the & I'm hoping this temperature shift also means I'll stay a tiny bit cooler in the summer

    Always cold!!!!

OH im glad this was bumped. I'm almost 3 months out & this is the first December where I'm wearing a sweater EVERY DAY. I would wear a sweater like 5x max in the winter (I'm in California so it's not needed that often) but I've been freezing this winter! I used to be that person that would never need extra warmth. My fat was more than enough & I enjoyed the cold. Now I feel like a fragile plant haha

So popcorn is NOT my friend....

Wow really?! Thats good to know bc that's one of the foods I've been so excited to have again! My program says to avoid popcorn for the first 3 months bc our stomachs might disagree with them now I worry I won't be able to handle it either! I will try it next month 🤞🏻 In terms of food changes, I find I crave cheese less & I like salads & veggies more. Probably the most ideal taste change I could experience lol
