  1. Found an old log w my old measurements. My waist used to be 44-45 inches. My waist is now 35 inches. I've lost 10inches. Almost a whole foot!
  2. Waking up 5-10lbs lighter at a low weight sounds like a dream lol. I hope I can get mine removed eventually!
  3. My goal (135lbs) is the highest "normal" weight on the BMI scale for my height. I figure it'd be a good place to stop before I work on muscle But honestly I think I care more about my measurements than the number since muscle will eventually be involved & skew the bmi scale. I would love for my waist to be in the 25-28inch range
  4. Someone in my support group also got an infection & their scale did not move for a bit. It seems our bodies prioritize healing during that time! But man I hope that goes away! I can't imagine dealing with it TWICE. I'm glad you're not letting it discourage you!
  5. I got my gallbladder removed many years ago but the pain is unforgettable. It felt like a stabbing, never ending cramp. Like your insides are exploding & you have to ball up in a fetal position & prays it goes away. I'm sure gallbladder pain varies person to person but it most definitely did not feel like a strained muscle to me. I hope it's just your muscle your feeling!

    Body Scale

I bought a basic one on Amazon before I started my pre-op stage. It keeps me in check but it's important to keep a mentak note not to use it too much as it can become obsessive (guilty of that at one point) There's some advanced ones that connect to fancy weight loss apps, but I like my normal $19 one.
  7. Restriction for me is simply feeling stomach bubbles & a bit of tightness on my chest but not in a scary way. Its just my bodies way of telling me I'm getting full. Nothing scary or gross!

That's incredible!! 100 is such a grand number to hit & you look amazing! Congratulations 🎊💜
  9. MY FIRST TIME EATING CARBS AFTER SURGERY 🙌🏻 Half of a whole-wheat Pita. Bread has never tasted so good!

    Am I overreacting

Your mom sounds a lot like my mom. Mentally stuck in 90's/2000's diet culture that makes them think anything enjoyable is bad for you & you can only lose weight is your food is green & tasteless. I'm now close to 3 months post op & she has learned about food & macros during my journey. I've made it a point to educate, as annoying as it is sometimes. Ofc you don't have to do that bc I know how stubborn moms are but NO you did not over-react. Our journey is so specific to us & they're on the outside looking in. They won't understand unless they spend the same hours we spent reading about this. Good on you for sticking to ur plan!

    Bug belly

Belly fat is soooo stubborn. I did not feel a significant change in my belly till I hit the 180 pound range.
  12. I used to be a Uber Eats addict & would spend $30 per order easily. I've made 2 orders in total since my surgery & they were to feed other people. I've easily saved hundreds since then! Also, fitting into straight sizes & not needing to spend a ton on a bra is AMAZING
  13. Oh it'll all be gone in a few days! & don't worry, the discomfort will diminish every day. It'll be gone before you know it

This flu has GOT TO GO!!!

Ugh I hope you guys feel getter! It seems it's hitting everyone I got sick too! Mine was Covid. My symptoms weren't too bad but I've been stalled ever since 🤦🏻‍♀️ it's really annoying!
  15. Currently my favorite breakfast! 155cals. I add 0cal ranch seasoning to my chicken & eggs for a lil change

    I’m HUNGRY!

I was also sleeved in Sept & I've found that my hunger is actually just me being excited to eat food. If I'm distracted that feeling doesn't come up. But in those instances when I know my brain won't shut up I like the MINI Quest Bars. Specifically the minis bc they're only 80cals. Also pre packed beef jerky strips (60 cals) & Dry Roasted Edamame snacks (The Only Bean brand) all high protein & delicious! Those are enough to satisfy that need to munch something
  17. Yes, once they approve it you're good! I got down to 200lbs the day of surgery & only got praise for my surgeon & gave me a comment on how good my liver looked. You have nothing to worry about 😊
  18. Ate Taco Bell! Ordered a side of beans topped with a three cheese blend, ordered chicken on the side (they give you more) & put it all the small bowl. Taco Bell says its 120cals but I feel it was maybe 180. Yummy!
  19. This was a learning process for me. Right now I feel my best when I eat 3oz of food exactly. Weighing my food & finding a comfortable number I can go to became essential to me. I eat 5x a day & like to wait a few hours between every shake/snack/meal bc it will also 'buid up' for me. Maybe space it out a bit more too! I wish u luck!
  20. It's nice to see finally see your body's shape & not just rolls when you see your shadow!
  21. What do you mean by "try" to stick to your diet? I ask because I also have PCOS & one of my fears is it interfering with the last 45lbs I want to lose. Do you follow your program diet for the most part or have a few cheat meals?
  22. WOW I'm so glad you went to the ER! That sounds horrifying. Really hope they're able to find a easy solution for you. This is not how you should be celebrating your new journey 😭 wishing for best for you!!
  23. Super embarrassed by what happened yesterday. I had 4 viles of blood drawn, ate a small protein bar & went to Walmart to exchange a sweater. Guess who was laying on a bench halfway passed out about 20mins later. I should have gone straight home after getting my blood but during my pre-op days a quick snack was enough to give me an hour or 2 of energy. Not anymore. Thankfully I wasn't alone & my brother brought me an electric wheelchair bc I couldn't walk. My vision & feeling in my hands came back & I was able to walk to the car. Not doing that again

    Not feeling my restriction

I didn't truly feel my restriction till I moved on to solids, like chicken. I had small signals during my puree stage but you start feeling your regular pre-op type of fullness once you go back to normal foods, even though NOW I stop before before I feel fullness. Aiming for that satisfied feeling is better imo. Also, I watched a 'VSG fail' video on YouTube & she mentioned one of the reasons she failed was because she knew "waiting 10mins will allow her to eat more" & she now weighs as much as she did pre-op. PLEASE stick to your reccomended portions, you will find you'll still feel satisfied!
