Hi hrshygrl. I live in Oceanside and I'm using Dr. Geiss also. I just finished all my preop tests and hope to get a surgery date sometime this week from the doc.

No Indigo grl-:shades_smile:-I am not a racist I was just referring to the seemingly undenible (sp) similarities in the names OSAMA BIN LADEN and OBAMA LA BIDEN doesn't that seem just too much of a coinidence. A BIG red flag to me.

Obama and his running mate have me scared sh*tless. I live in a state, (CA) of a ton of liberals and alot of them who normally vote democrat are now going to vote rupulican because of Obama.

Does anyone realize that this is a LapBand Forum...not political blog?! That said, I like you LULUC! You haven't let anyone get away with anything. I am for Obama/Biden and would be very concerned if McCain was elected. That would be yet another sad day for our country. I doubt Palin will make it to the election. McCain is a war-monger with a hot temper. He will keep America in a scared condition; fighting wars for no legal reason; while making sure to preserve and support the rich at the expense of the rest of us. Obama and Biden have the intelligence and integrity to move this country into a safer, optimistic, and successful direction. We need to earn back the respect and trust of the rest of the world!

I am obviously going to give an unpopular response. The gender of the candidates is not a qualifying factor at all! I do not like McCain at all and I would be very concerned for this country if he was elected. His vp choice makes it even worse. I am most definitely supporting Obama and Biden. I agree with Obama's positions...which were clearly stated in detail in his acceptance speech on Thurs...and Biden is a wonderful choice as vp. They will move this country back into the correct and safe direction!

Not sure but I hope to find out tomorrow. They said my insurance takes about 4-5 weeks after all my clearances so I'm hoping I can have it the first week or so in October. I'll keep you posted.

I'm so excited. I just finished all my preop tests today. I had my stress test and got cleared by my cardiologist. So tomorrow I will call my doc and see if I can get a surgery date! I'm nervous and excited! Please wish me luck!!! :w00t:

Hi Lisa. I hope you remember me. We wrote before. I'm new and just saw Dr. Geiss on 8/1. I've had all my preop tests except for the stress test which I have on Tues. I also live on Long Island. I hope you won't mind if I keep in touch with you.

Hi! I'm new too. I saw the doc on 8/1 and have been going thru all the preop testing. I have one more test on Tues...stress test for cardio. Assuming all goes well, I hope to get a surgery date soon. I can't wait to do this and I'm glad there are so many others like you and me here for information and support. Hope to hear from you!

Hi there and welcome! It's so nice to see a fellow Dr. Geiss patient. I live here on LI too. You will be so happy with him....he is great and so is his whole team. Whenever you call, they are always there to help and it's obvious that they care. I was banded July 2 and I'm so happy with the results. This forum had been a tremendous help with my journey and I'm sure you'll come to find that as well. If you have any questions about Dr. Geiss, the surgery, or anything please feel free to ask....I'll be happy to help if I can. I'm glad to hear you are doing well. How long did it take for your insurance to approve? I have empire. do you know anything about that?

Hello! I am a newbie. I am a patient of Dr. Alan Geiss in Syosset. I live on Long Island, NY. I had my initial consult with the doctor on August 1, and I am almost finished with my pretesting. I am hoping to get my surgery date as soon as possible. I am grateful that this forum exists and I'm looking forward to getting to know you all. I would also appreciate whatever support you would be kind enough to provide.
