Just so everyone knows a pain contract just states that I am getting regular pain meds from my primary care, or pain management specialist because of chronic pain issues, and by letting an er doctor or other medical personnel know we are on a pain contract it's supposed to let them know we do not accept any pain management from other sources such as the er or urgent care without pre approval from our pain contract doctor... Some doctors around here do not like this at all and believe if you are On a pain contract you should not be treated by er or urgent care unless it's a car crash or something like that..... and I honestly don't understand why if you are not there for anything pain management related ... Unfortunately it's about a 2 hour drive if there's no traffic, can end up closer to 3 1/2 during the day, and I have a little one in school so it's not ideal, but that may be my only option if I can't get rehydrate on my own, or go to another hospital out of town. My mom was with me and when she asked him about giving me another bag of fluids before sending me home (she thought I'd at least get the first bag done before they discharged me) he simply stated not in my hospital check at *names hospital I had surgery at* maybe they can So I'm assuming that will be my only option from now on.... I do have a appointment with my primary doctor, who is amazing, On Tuesday and her office is attached to the urgent care, my mom is hoping she might be able to get them to give me fluids while I'm there. I want to add that I'm sorry if I came off as ungrateful that I was able to have the surgery, I am grateful and i am planning on working my program. I was very emotional and upset when I was typing out what happened. I think I'm more upset that I didn't stay in a different town for my recovery.... and I'm hoping to never have to go to this hospital again if I can help it... The doctor just make me feel like me feeling dizzy, not being able to drink much, and not going to the bathroom in over 10 hours (probably tmi I'm sorry) was all my fault and I deserved it and had no right going to the hospital for help..... I have another surgery I'm supposed to have done in 8 months (for my back) and u will definitely hold off until I'm able to save enough to stay in a different town for recovery. Eating Hurts - Any Tips?

Im only 5 days post op, but I was going over my post op chart and I'm on full liquids until week 2 then puree, for a week more before checking in with my doctor about moving on to soft food.... if you need more suggestions feel free to message me and I could even take some pictures of the booklet my doctor uses, maybe it will help good luck hun Sent from my SM-G996U using BariatricPal mobile app
  11. I moved to full liquids on Tuesday when I was released, and my doctor didn't put any restrictions on me either, when I asked she said that since it gos almost straight threw, just go slow (as you are) and you'll be fine .... so as long as you aren't feeling pain neasua or discomfort from it I'm assuming you are fine to finish your soup .... if you're worried you can always double check with them Sent from my SM-G996U using BariatricPal mobile app
  12. I'm going on day 5 post opp and I can't even hit 40oz of water a day yet. So good job on that, second ive been having to drink only things with protein in them because of that, so protein shakes, protein waters, ect... because of that I also bought isopure protein powder (unflavored) so I can add it to things, maybe give that a try.... but also my doctor said #1 priority is fluid then protein, so try not to make yourself sick over it, and just get in what you can for now... as you heal it should get easier... if you are still concerned you can always reach out to your medical team and ask questions... best of luck hun [emoji3590] Sent from my SM-G996U using BariatricPal mobile app

  15. 17. Anyone having issues with liquid intake (like I have been) I am doing a bit better with suger free Popsicles.... they are cold, and I take very small chunks off, I seem to be getting a little more fluid in that way .... so if someone needs something els to try I'd definitely recommend trying the popsicles Sent from my SM-G996U using BariatricPal mobile app

  23. Ask your doctor how often you can take it, if they say you can take it at least once a day, do that for 3 days or so and that should help, if not and it's been quite a while, a warm enema might be what it takes to get you unblocked Sent from my SM-G996U using BariatricPal mobile app
