  1. Wow, congratulations!!!! Your picture looks great!!!!
  2. :clap2: That's exactly how I feel.
  3. I wouldn't date someone that intentionally didn't ask when I was heavier. I don't prefer fat guys, but I have dated 2. I liked their personality. Sometimes getting to know a person makes them look better. You can't help who you are attracted too, but I am as attracted to personality and appearance. I don't fault someone for not being attracted to someone, but I can't imagine wanting to go out w/some that didn't want to go w/me months earlier b/c I was heavier. Plus, I would probably be paranoid and wondering what they were thinking before or what they would think if I gained weight.
  4. I completely agree. But realisticly, we have a lot of people out here that either don't, don't care, I don't know. They should be responsible, but they aren't.

    What has happened to Christianity?

Maybe, I'm interpreting the article wrong. If he is talking about conservative christians I completely agree. I'll still check out his show to see what he's talking about.
  6. I believe it. The same thing happens here too. People always find a way to work around stuff. I live in NC and they don't check ID. Most people here will give the cards to the drug dealers or find out what they want and go buy the stuff for them. I know someone that uses her food stamp card and to buy groceries then sells the groceries. By the end of the month she's going to churches and food banks to get food. It is just wrong.
  7. Hi, I am also a student, so I know it can be hard. I am a grad student, so I actually am borrowing up to my max to finance the surgery. I also work fulltime too, so that helps. I don't know if this is an option for you. I thought in the long run it would be cheaper and easier than trying to find a loan somewhere. I have also moved back home w/my parents to cut expenses. I don't know if I would advise that one though. $15,800 is cheaper than what I have found around here. I have found a doctor in Colorado for $9950 and I have decided to go w/him. I live in NC, so it is a bit of travel, but it is still worth it for the $$ I will save. Good luck!!!

    What has happened to Christianity?

*cough* Bull**** Is he labeling all Christians together? There are many different denominations and sects, from Catholic to Methodist to Jehovah's Witnesses to Baptist to Mormons and so on. And then some of these groups have formed their own groups. It's pretty ignorant to lump us all together. Initially, I thought he was talking only about Conservative Christians (then I would agree), but instead it sounds like he's trying to say that the Conservative Christians have tainted and convinced all the other Christians to follow them. What are we high school kids? He should know better.
  9. It's not...If everyone prevented the abortion would we even be having this decision. If there was no baby, then there would be nothing for you to save.:grouphug:
  10. I completely agree... I am a Christian and my Bible says that no sin is greater than the other. Society deems things worse. I sin everyday, I over eat for one (gluantany-sp). I don't feel that my place on Earth is to sit in judgement and condemn others. I believe that we will alll have a maker that we have to go before one day. I won't be condemned for your sins and you won't be condemned for mine. People make mistakes and people repent. No one on this Earth is perfect. I personally believe that premartial sex is wrong and that is probably what causes most of these abortions. People aren't going to stop having sex, but I don't see anything wrong with teaching abstince. IMO, abstince and then birth control.
  11. I'm not saying they aren't b/c their are more white women than other races. I was speaking about the babies that need to be adopted. They all need to be adopted, but it seems like the babies that are adopted the most are caucasian babies. But there are also more white people in the U.S., but then more whites are adopting other races. My point is still that a lot of other babies aren't getting adopted.
  12. I don't care about statistics. I am going by what I have seen. The person doing the statistics can say what they want, but I know what I have witnessed. And furthermore, I doubt they are putting the parents in therapy and asking them why they abused their kid. Most of the idiots just go straight to jail (thank God!!).
  13. Sure, it's the right thing for a decent, rationale person. I guess I have listened to too many stories of my mother who was raised by a mother that didn't want her. Thank God for her grandmother or she probably would have been dead. The good people in society haven't lost focus on that. It's the bad ones that I am concerned about. You keep saying give them to people that want them. Where are all these people that you are talking about? A lot of them probably aren't looking for the children from multifamilies or w/needs. All the kids I keep hearing are sold are these little causasian babies. People are buying these babies when their are free kids out there, but I guess they don't fit the dream of the baby they want.
  14. I don't have any kids or unwanted pregnancies, but maybe you can help someone that does...And I can't speak for all the unwanted kids either. I was a planned pregnancy w/a decent life. I am just trying to be realistic. Maybe I am interpreting yal wrong, but some of yal are going across like abusing kids really isn't that serious.:phanvan We'll just take a chance and make them stay with the parents that don't want them and see what happens. Like their an experiment or something. Down right strange.
  15. So, what are you saying? It's okay for people to raise kids that they don't want and abuse them b/c your husband is a "normal" adult. I hate that weird, what is normal? He might just be normal to you, what's your definition of normal. Sorry, in my 27 years I have realized that everyone doesn't have common sense. Some of these same people were unwanted children themselves and maybe didn't want their children growing up that way.
  16. Okay, don't babies grow up to be the older children. All babies don't get adopted and being a foster child is a lot different that being adopted. There are a lot of foster children that could be adopted, but aren't. There are a lot of people that will foster a child, but not adopt. I didn't even realize that we still had orphanges here until I was in college. My friend had a hard time getting adopted b/c she had to older siblings. She stayed in foster care until she aged out. The family that I knew said it was easier for them to get a kid in another country so they chose Russia. I was just looking up statistics and this was listed for FL. Children that need to be adopted. "A total of 507 children 15 or over need families, 742 are 11-14 year olds, 440 are 6-10 year olds and 226 are 0-5 year olds. Of those 0-5, all are members of sibling groups who want to be adopted by one family or have serious medical needs. "

    American Idol 2007

Who Elliott? :cry I like his voice.
  18. Oh, I know you were being sarcastic about that. I meant your comment about there being so many kids here that people have to go and adopt kids in other countries.
  19. Wouldn't it be great it more people would go out and adopt like you? I know/hope you are being sarcastic...Don't get me started on people going out of this country to adopt. I know a couple that adopted 2 beautiful little boys from Russia. The poor kids had a horrible life, but they didn't go to Russia for lack of kids to adopt here.
  20. I don't believe in abortion for myself, but I can't force my beliefs on someone else. I also can't carry the fetus, take care of it when it's born financially or other wise. I can behind prevention, but I try to use some common sense and be real. I don't personally know any fetuses that were aborted, but I do see on the news everyday that children that are abused and murdered. I also have a friend that spent her life since age 3 being shuttled from foster home to foster home. I also personally know crack babies. I have a cousin who sends her 11 month old baby from home to home b/c she didn't want her in the first place. I see the way she refers to her and treats her, but want let anyone adopt her. She was all up for adoption until the baby was born. She is 21, never wanted any children and only cares about finishing her college degree, b/c that comes 1st. I have shed many tears and I am not a heartless person. I just don't like seeing people treating kids wrong period. If 1/2 the people out here against abortion would adopt a kid, that would help. There aren't many people out here adopting the crack babies, abused kids, or minority kids. People are a lot of talk plain and simple.
  21. It's not going to happen b/c all the NYers keep moving down here.
  22. The people sound deranged...And they need kids?!
  23. I mean real answers, not talking ferries and Disney. We live in a real world, with real issues, and people w/some real problems. So, if you are raped or a the fetus is a product of incest how is that any different. The circumstance of how the child was concieved is different, but the fetus is the same. Just looking for justification or how it's any different. What about the tons of cases where the child has been strong enough to survive and the mother couldn't. I thank God my mother wanted me and raised me. I couldn't imagine if she didn't want me. I guess I just know to many real world situations that are sad and dear to my heart. I hate to see kids suffer.
