  1. I saw him for my physical last week and he said when I get the o.k. from the neurosurgeon and now a hemotologist because I don't have a spleen and it causes my white count to be high that he will write my letter. The hemotologist said he didn't need to see me for that he will just send my surgeon for clearance. My neurosurgeon appt is on 9/29 so I hope I can get my surgery next month. My PCP tried to talk me out of it when I was there .I know what you mean about big breasts I passed a DD a long time ago. I may have to roll them up after surgery. loll I am glad your revision went well and you are on the road to recovery.

  2. My PCP has never referred me to or mentioned a neurosurgeon before. He just referred me to a pain specialist. We are doing conservative treatments right now. My PCP is only sending me to a neurosurgeon because of the position my neck will be in during the surgery. The neurosurgeon is requiring I have an MRI in the last 6 months before they will see me as a new patient. The bariatric team I am working with called me this morning to tell me that my PCP didn't even talk to my bariatric surgeon he only texted him. He told me he talked to him. I am in shock. I never would have thought he would lie like that. The bariatric team told me not to switch doctors right now as it will hold me up. They will help me do the letter my PCP wants me to write to him regarding my weight loss history and why I want bariatric surgery. They also said my PCP usually listens to the bariatric surgeon. If he is only trying to cover his *** why doesn't he just get me to sign something saying I am not going to sue him.

  3. The letter from him was my last requirement for my insurance. I have gone through 5 months of preparing for surgery. He wasn't for it but gave me a referral to the weight loss surgeon. He didn't think the surgeon or cardiologist would approve it, which they did. I have to write him a letter stating why I want the surgery, everything else I have tried. He said there are new weight loss drugs out there. I called his office and left him a message regarding what weight loss drugs are out there will not interact with warfarin or increase my heart rate as I take blood pressure meds to regulate my heart rate. He has never treated my neck pain just sent me to pain Dr. and now he wants to be concerned about the position my neck will be in for surgery. So now an MRI before I can even see the neurosurgeon. I will have to call and see how long my insurance will let me go after I finished my preop phase.

  4. I can't change my PCP until November. I like his office because they get me in quickly or even call meds in for me. My PCP referred me to the pain specialist because I have previous cervical fusion(2007) and now have a herniated disk below it.. I had an epidural steroid injection yesterday. I have daily headaches and am trying to find a treatment that works. I have a mechanical heart valve and take blood thinners but have had 2 surgeries when I had to stop them and get the shots and didn't have a problem. My heart has been stable since 2015 and got cardiac clearance for bariatric surgery with no problems. I can't believe he is sending me to a neurosurgeon only because of the position my neck will be in during surgery. I am so let down but am writing out notes for my letter.

  5. My surgeon's office called me yesterday to schedule my surgery. Only thing I needed was a letter from my PCP recommending surgery. He gave my a referral to the weight loss surgeon but reluctantly. He said he would be shocked if the weight loss surgeon would do it. Well he did. I got my cardiac clearance no problem. Now my PCP requires me to write him a letter of my weightloss attempts, why I want it done etc before he will write the letter for surgery.. Now he requires that I see a neurosurgeon due to how long my neck will be in the position required for surgery. I am heartbroken and in tears.

  6. I have had to do this several times. I had to do it preop and maybe postop. I watched youtube videos also. You could go to your surgeon's office and get them to do your first shot to show you how. The coumadin clinic at my cardiologist office give me the instructions on the schedule to administer it. My instructions from the pharmacy just said every 12 hrs.

This. I honestly didn’t mean to quit, ( before testing and all that jazz), but my husband accidentally bought zero nicotine vape juice and we didn’t even know for several weeks ( I will add here that during those weeks I did have strange cravings for cigarettes- but didn’t give in). Just had nicotine and cotitine (?) testing and it was zero! I still vape from time to time, but no nicotine is awesome!

Were you still vaping without nicotine when you were tested?
