Very little butter in the bottom of a non stick pan. Could use some kind of non stick spray, I suppose. On 09/03/2022 at 21:18, AliceFD said:
How do cook them? I'm wary about oil or butter.

I started the soft food phase this morning and I have never been that fond of eggs, but the scrambled ones I had this morning were SO GOOD. First semi solid food I’ve had and it was nice to chew something again! I probably ate 1.5 eggs and seem to be doing fine.

I can! I’ve got a long way to go, but even this 20 down since surgery has made a difference in how my clothes fit, and how I fit behind the wheel when I drive. I’m sure I huffed and puffed less walking across the parking lot at the clinic yesterday too. I’m looking forward to so much moreOn 08/29/2022 at 21:21, suzecate said:
63--wow! Can you see and feel the difference?

I had my post op visit today to have my staples removed (really glad to see them go!). I’m down 20 pounds since my pre op visit two weeks ago, and 63 pounds overall. No real problems except a persistent pain in my back because I haven’t been able to sleep on my side yet. Getting my Water and Protein in and feeling great!

Post op day 5 and I am hungry lol I’m on Clear Liquids until Saturday and I’m counting down the hours until I can have yogurt! Doing well getting my liquids in, still somewhat sore, but they had a little trouble working around my liver so it’s bruised. Things are getting better every day, though—No regrets and happy about things to come!

For my own sanity, I’m not going to weigh myself at all. I’ll find out on Monday at my post op appointment. Just so the numbers are going down over time, I don’t care about the day to day.On 08/23/2022 at 10:48, I Am Enough! said:
How long does it take after surgery for weight to start coming off? I gained some during surgery and it's slowly coming back off. Down to 222.2 today. What have you seen so far?

My sleeve back in 2018 required no strict diet other than drinking magnesium citrate the night before. August is such a busy year for us as well! Birthdays and the big MInnesote State Fair. I am a faithful state fair goer...and it always runs from August 25th until Labor Day. I am contemplating on going just for the walk and to keep myself busy but the smell of food will definitely torture me!
I feel your pain on the state fair, I'll be having my surgery right as Kentucky's begins. I usually compete and I'm going to miss that this year. Homemade candy is my specialty so that was *right out* this year lol It will give someone else the chance to win those ribbons this year I guess And next year I'll be in much better shape to walk around the exhibits!

Something about they already are depriving us from chewing post op so the surgeon doesn't do it before. ::shrugs::

My program only has the liquid diet for the two days prior to surgery, instead of two weeks. I see the surgeon tomorrow and I'm going to ask why they only do it for the two days. My surgeon has many many years of experience, I have friends who have done really well with him so I trust his process, but I'm just curious.

Hello all! My surgery is scheduled for August 19th and I am so excited for it! It took me a long time of serious contemplation and consideration to arrive at the choice to have wls, but I am now looking forward to the results. I've got a lot to lose, but I'm ready to go

Doing great! I've apparently hit that point where I feel fantastic. I haven't been on the scales for a few weeks, but my clothes are really falling off me now, I had to get a cheap interim pair of jeans so I'd have something suitable to wear outside the house. I had a couple of non-scale victories the past few days. First, I got in a 5K's worth of steps on Saturday, don't know the last time I was able to be that active. Also, we went to a college football game that day and I made it up the ramp into the stadium with very little huffing and puffing. And then today at an appointment, I fit into the chairs with arms in the waiting room! They were a little tight, but I FIT!
Hope everyone else is doing well!
