  1. You are inspiring indeed. Thanks for posting and putting up your pictures. Mimi
  2. I have Tricare Standard and had to gain 7 pounds pre visit to qualify. I don't regret it and have already taken the weight off. Mimi
  3. I like the way you are thinking, Pete. Especially about there always being a reason to eat!!! Good luck with your process. Mimi
  4. FF, first off congratulations on your wt loss!!! Plus sizes go down in increments of 2 so if you were snug in your 30/32 count it as 32 and go down by 2's. So you are down 5 whole sizes!!!!!! Mimi
  5. YIPPEE!!!!!!! I know you are feeling good!! Mimi
  6. The IDS New Whey "Bullets" can be purchased at GNC and The Vitamin Shop. Also on line. Comes in 4 fruity flavors and in 2 strengths. Good especially for clear liquid stage of diet to provide Protein for healing or when not really hungry but needing your protein serving. Each is about 3.1 ounces. Mimi
  7. Hi, RLP. Congrats on your successsful fill and the wonderful weight loss. Keep up the great work. Gooooo Gamecocks!!!! Mimi
  8. Sharon, based on your rec I bought a cannister of choc truffle and found it quite good. I also bought a cannister of the fuzzy navel and that is very good also and since it is only made with water it is fairly lo-cal at 90 cal per scoop. Thanks for posting your finds. Mimi
  9. Also, have you tried your local library? Mimi
  10. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. You lost a lot of wt on the pre-op diet, good for you!!!! Mimi
  11. RestlessMonkey, I am Tricare Standard, too, and am learning as I go what is paid for and what is not. Mimi
  12. I haven't been to nutrition class yet so am not sure of the post op steps, but I have spent a couple of hundred dollars trying different protein drinks. The GenSoy I took back as disgusting and stinky!!!! I have bought the clear fruit flavored Isopures as I know that there is a week of clear liquids post op and I know we need protein to heal. Mimi
  13. Hi, BigJim and welcome. Best advice is read read read!!!! Mimi
  14. Welcome to October Odyssey!!!!! Congratulations!!!!!! Mimi
  15. Good Luck, Lisa!!!!!! Mimi
  16. I know you want to lose faster but both of you are within the normal expected range of 1-3 pounds a week, aren't you? I am a slow loser, like you Slinderella and will be moaning about it in Oct!!!! Just keep losing.
  17. Texas, Okinawa, Mass, Korea, NJ, HI, SC, done!!!
  18. Interesting concept but now I understand. My doc gives the shot right before surgery and then starts coumadin which is a pill for a month, I think. Mimi
  19. Hi, Joy, welcome to LBT!!!!!! Mimi
  20. I agree you should tell the anesthetist about your anxiety issues. My insurance requires an overnight stay, too. For the Lap Band I am not so sure you get a pain pump. Congratulations on your 15 pound loss. I am trying to do Atkins, too, but haven't had the dramatic results you have!! Mimi
  21. What "shots" are you talking about?
  22. Thanks for the tips. Sadly myTarget doesn't carry the Cytosport. Mimi
  23. Thank you!! I am working on getting a decent headshot for my avatar so you will recognize me!!!
  24. Mary, maybe I will see you in his office as Dr Marc Antonetti is my doc, too!!!
  25. I am glad I am not the only one trying out Protein Shakes ahead of time. Every time someone posts a new one I get dressed and go shopping!! So far Gen Soy (unflavored Soy Protein with Hershey's syrup added to skim milk) is horrible and I am not thrilled with any of the Unjury packs I have tried. The EAS Advantage (best price Walmart) isn't too bad. I am going to try the Isopure soon, can't find the Cytosport anywhere in this town. Also can't find the Slim Fast Carb control.
