Whey protein powder that tastes good?

I picked up a bag of whey Protein powder from the HEB organics bin section, and it tastes and smells AWFUL in anything I put it in. Granted its the plain one, got that one thinking I could put it in anything... WRONG!

Is there one that tastes and smells good?

Hi

I use a Protein shake everyday and bought several kinds until i found the one i love,.

it's Isopure. it's the one in powder individual packages.

i buy them on A1supplements.com

my favorite one is the chocolate but they have about 6 different flavors. i mix it with banana, ice and Peanut Butter...yum...

the vanilla one i mix with berries.

good luck

I like the GNC 100% whey protein, chocolate flavored powder mix

I like wal mart chocolate(52grams in 2 scoops) , and vitalady.com has small sample packets for 1.99 with tons of different flavors ranging from 27g-39g per packet, my fav is chocolate peanut butter banana, I also like GNC vanilla cake batter flavor. Tonight I had chocolate ice cream flavor from vitalady w/ 33 grams of protein, added a lil caramel syrup milk & ice, blended it up & even my kids wont leave it alone!!

I have tried about ten and they all taste like flavored dirt to me, however, I do love the low-carb slim-fast. It has 20 grams of protein!!

HI Everyone. I am getting banded July 2nd. Amazing that 8 months have passed since I began the journey. Thanks for starting a natural health thread. I know protein and protein shakes are very important but my body does not like too much whey. It makes my nose and throat mucousy and I don't like the after taste. There are a few great alternatives to any of you who are vegan or dairy sensitive. One brand is http://www.lifetimevitamins.com/products/lifetime_plantprotein.html and a really good price is at http://www.iherb.com/productdetails.aspx?c=1&pid=-6590434856717345201&utm_source=gb&utm_medium=f3 . I have been really happy with the weightloss results and it tastes good. m

Check out Shaklee's (soy or whey) protein. You can order online (see link under my signature). All Shaklee products are 100% guaranteed or you get your money back.

Have you tried the whey protein bullets. They come in grape, orange, fruit punch, blue raspberry. They taste like Kool aid. One 3.1 ounce bullet has 42 grams of protein. It's is great mixed with crystal lite or can be used in making jello.

I like the isopure powdered, but I have to blend it with ice. I also like the isopure grape drinks. I've also got Slimfast shakes and Ensure which has 13 grams of protein.:)

I use Body Fortress brand at Walmart. They have chocolate and vanilla and actually taste pretty good.

I use a product called American Whey, purchased from GNC. I only tried the chocolate, it has a malty taste ( suprisingly good) . It also comes in Vanilla, and fruit flavors as well, I will try them soon. Check it out!

Personally, I love the nectar brand of whey powders. They come in flavors like Carribbean Cooler (pina colada), Roadside Lemonade, Twisted Cherry, and Fuzzy Navel to name a few. These do NOT have to be blended, they truly dissolve with stirring. I LOVE them, they don't have an aftertaste. My kids love smoothies made with these. I use a small amt of pineapple juice and Water or yogurt or milk to make them. With the Roadside Lemonade, I add a couple of teaspoons to my ice tea and stir and get about 10 grams of Protein. They can be found at www.prosource.com. They are about 25. for a 2 pound jug, so very reasonable cost wise.

Hope this helps:smile:

Sylvia

Exactly how much protein are we supposed to get? I have heard 40g then somewhere else I saw 70g per day? Which is it? I don't want to start losing my hair or something like that because I don't get enough.
