I’m sorry you’re not feeling great! Probably a good idea to speak to your team as soon as possible, maybe you can change something up in the diet that would help? I didn’t do pre-op liquid diet at all, just after 6pm the night before surgery, but I’m 4 days post op liquid, good for you getting through 8 days so far! Hopefully it is just ketosis and you don’t have a virus. If you’re feeling how you explained above on the day of surgery they may not want to operate on you. Hope you are feeling better soon! Cay

@KevinS62 @HealthierMe2022 @MsGina thanks for the updates! Glad everyone seems to be on the mend and it’s nice to have this thread to go through this together. Day 3 post op for me today, first day of full liquids so I am going to start with a protein shake. But I’m a bit scared! No idea why because I’ve been able to swallow just fine and take a full size Tylenol without any trouble. still a little pain at the top of a deep breath in but it’s better than yesterday and better again than the day before. sleeping propped up is more comfortable but it gives me a headache. Tylenol has thankfully helped with the headache. I’m coming off the tramadol today/tomorrow if all continues to go well. my JP tube is the most annoying thing and I’m very eager to get it out. Like now would be nice but i think that’s going to be Wednesday when I have my follow up.

Thank you @Clea123, that’s such a good idea! Hate when I need to cough from down deep to expel the gas but feel like I’m going to blow all my incisions at once!

PO day 2 for me today. I’ve had a terrible headache since last evening but pretty sure it’s the lack of calories (I am on clear liquids today, to full liquids tomorrow) - yesterday I slept on and off all day on the recliner and the recliner is definitely more comfortable than the bed. My goal for these three days is 30oz of water/clear liquids and I managed about 35oz yesterday. I was having a lot of trouble deep breathing without pain so I’m hugging a pillow and trying to cough several times a day. It’s definitely helping. My JP drain is the most uncomfortable but it isn’t really painful. Looking forward to that being taken out next week for sure. Trying to see if I can manage with only Tylenol today because I think the painkillers might be sending me a bit loopy. hope everyone post op is recovering well. cay

Thank you for asking @MsGina I’m sorry you’re suffering. My surgery was at noon yesterday and I was checked out at 4:30 or so. everything went smoothly and well according to my doctor. I was nauseous when I awoke but nurse gave me a magic anti nausea suppository (I guess body function embarrassment goes out the window when you are in pain!) Last evening and still now, what I think is gas pain is the worst (hurts mostly when I take a deep breath in) and some muscular soreness. I think it’s getting better. No trouble getting my water and medications down. I do have a JP tube which is probably the most uncomfortable part. Recliner much more comfortable than bed because of the discomfort getting in and out of bed. Hopefully you’re doing better later today!

I’m not an august person - I’m having my surgery this coming Wednesday - but I saw in your post you are band to sleeve and I am too, I don’t find too many folks in revision forums having this so wanted to say hello! I’ll be more than happy to share with you my experience of it once it happens! Cay
