See everyone on Monday. I'll be ready for some food by Monday. I'm already tired of liquids. I'm trying to drink more protein drinks during this phase and less soup to see if salt could be the reason I react 6-10 days later. It just might be the cause.

Just got back from curves. Doing well on my liquids. Still a little hungry, but I hope restriction will come in time. The doctor may have hit on the salt issue as the reason why I have a delayed reaction to fills. When I think about it I eat soup twice a day when I'm on liquids and once a day when on mushies. So maybe ... I'm trying to drink more protein drinks during this phase and see if that helps. Hope the rest are doing OK. Each day is a new adventure.

Just got back from my fill. He gave me .4 so that brings me to 2.4. This is a place that I have never, ever been. He must have put .3 in me last time instead of .2. I have been so hungry so hopefully this will do the trick. I asked him about what I could do, anything, not to get a bad reaction 6-10 days. His only advice was to reduce salt since that might have me swelling. I just smiled and said it must be the soup. :confused: Let's hope we can all tolerate our new fills and start losing again.

He should not have said it. However, I don't like that one or two people are the voice of the blacks and DEMAND his resignation. If we all had our conversations taped we would at some point say something we would regret. Two people should not have the power to call for boycotts, etc. Imus has done good in this world. His work with sick children should be applauded. Accept his apology, learn from it, and move on.

Oh I am so sorry to hear this. I hope they can put a new one in with no problems. You are and have been such an inspiration to so many of us. Good luck and let us know how you are doing.

WOW you gals look great. Dancing Queen you still have small arms!!!!!!!!! I'm so jealous. I get a fill tomorrow. I want to be agressive. I don't know. I would like to get at least .3, but I really want .5! Just got back from Curves. Liquids and mushies for the rest of the week. Keep up the good work. Just a note. There is a single spot on the June cruise that the whole board organized. It's the same weekend as our reunion, but for less than $800 for a 7 day cruise its a good deal for someone.

His wife's b'day was at the end of the month. She didn't want to celebrate it. Her mother has alzeheimer's and was in a facility in NY. She went there, but was going to be back for her b'day. While she was gone he got some disturbing medical news. He was going to have to have more tests, but I believe they thought he had MS. There is a whole thread on it starting around mid March.

It will be several more weeks before they can schedule the surgery. They have to make a back brace for him. Thanks for the positive thoughts. The weather has been yucky here. No snow, but we have had rain. And its very cold. We did a little shopping today and then came back home to watch the golf on TV. It was nice and warm in the house.

WOW Betsy you have so many facets to you! I used to go with a friend who had a business. I would help her with some of her shows. Dick and I love jewelry. I am looking for tanzanite. I have two rings and one small pair of earings. I am looking for a pendant. I can't afford it right now, but be on the lookout. I think most of the jewelry is costume at Reliant, but every now and then you run into a bargain. Dick and I went to that Mexican restaurnat on your side of the bridge Friday night. It was very good. We had a nice quiet dinner, early, and back across before the sun set. Only kidding! Haven't been to Star since banding. I like that place as well. I have 2 more days of eating before the fill. I know I won't be having much after that.

DH and I are off to run errands. Got stuck last bite of breakfast, but no PBing. Just working through it. This is major progress for me. I ate too much and too fast. One wonders when we will learn for good? DH is going to have back surgery. I'm not for it as the very thought scares me. We don't know when yet as they have to fit him for a back brace, etc. I think we are in for a few trying months. I told him get it over with it and get self sufficient because I'm headed for Vegas in June!! Its cold in Texas today. It has dropped almost 25 degrees in less than 12 hours. Have a great weekend everyone.

That poem is beautiful. I would like to put it in my book if that is OK with you - my personal journey scrapbook. You guys rock. We are doing great. We are 10 months out. DH took some pictures and I'll post when I get home from work. I haven't lost in lbs as much as I would have liked, but I make it up in attitude! I feel great and I love being a size 18, down from size 24. It does make a difference.

You are in what they call Bandster Hell. You don't have restriction until you get fills. The swelling is going down from surgery and you are wide open. Its like having a car to go places in, but no gasoline. Until you fill er up you can eat anything. DON't. You will need to exercise great control at this stage. Keep a good dose of fear with you of eating foods you know you shouldn't. It will be over soon. There is great risks to eating foods you should not. You can do damage. Good luck

Does anyone have experience with surgeons there? I want to get my arms done in December and looking for Doctors. I see quite a few and many places to stay. Just would like to get some first-hand references if possible.

I was hoping someone had been to costa rica for plastic surgery. I just want to get the arm life. I don't think I'm emotionally ready for the whole plastic surgery routine.

I am looking at San Juan Costa Rica. They have several surgeons. They all seem to use cosmetic vacation resorts. Included in the price of your stay is airport transfers, to and from doctors, 3 meals a day, some Snacks and tea, and a nurse on duty to change your dressings. I am early in my research so haven't found others on here that have gone to the particular doctor I'm looking at, but I'm sure you will gather some good information.

I think its great to get to a point when you are not obsessing about the band, the food intake, social situations, etc. I think some careful planning is in order and then just live. I would love to feel some restriction so Tuesday another fill. I want just to be able to eat normal, but in smaller amounts. Not sure about bread. I was looking at April and realized if we meet the 3rd Monday we won't meet again until Middle of May. We might want to slip in a extra Monday at end of month. I'm not sure I can go 4 weeks without you guys.

Just DH and myself. I bought a single slice of ham and frozen sweet potato casserole. I'll add some green beans. I am also getting one of those coconut bunny cakes. I just have to have a bite. I haven't tried cake so not sure I can even eat it. It will go in trash after Sunday.

Junebies Rock!!!! I love to hear about those scales moving down. I haven't seen that in a few days, but it hasn't gone the other way either. I think I'm toning and maybe losing some inches from my Curves routine. Only a few more days until another fill. After that, all bets are off. Anyone know of PS in Costa Rica let me know. I'm doing my research and hope to schedule soon for December. Just doing my arms.

Glad they didn't take everything out and glad to know I can go back there. I'll keep my appt with him on Tuesday then evaluate the situation. I just didn't want to face a complete unfill. I wonder if they are going to become a "fill" center. They are not affiliated with any doctor, but take anyone. That might be an option in the future. I'm finding great places in Costa Rica for December. Might as well have fun while taking care of my wings. Did a light workout at curves tonight. I didn't do anything with legs involved, but did extra on the arms and chest.
