I tried making Protein Jello with unflavored Isopure. I didn't like it and I'm still pre op, so I can't imagine liking it post op. How much Protein Powder do you add to a box of Jello? Maybe I added too much...

There is a guy I follow on Tiktok - RNY Chris, he showed that if you use a fairlife Protein Shake and 2tbsps on instant jello pudding and blend it up, you can stick it in the fridge and it turns to pudding quickly. It actually tastes great too! I can't handle sweets since I had my surgery otherwise I'd be living on those puddings.

I had surgery Tuesday morning and for the most part feel pretty good. However, any time I take a sip of anything (water, Gatorade zero, Protein shake) a few minutes later I feel a rolling pain from my lower abdomen up towards my chest. Is this still gas? Is this the sleeve? I am taking omperozole prescribed for reflux but no other pain meds. Just trying to decide if I keep pushing the Fluid or wait till this pain goes away.

I had gastric bypass on the 12th and I've been experiencing the exact same thing but only when I drink room temp or cooler beverages. It's the weirdest feeling, kind of like chugging something carbonated and having the carbonation just stuck in your esophagus. I feel like broth has been my only saving grace, I cook it till it's super hot and then just slowly sip on it, as it cools down I just keep reheating it. As for meds, my doctor did give me something for stomach spasms, an antacid, nausea meds, and pain meds. I hate the way the pain meds make me feel so I didn't take one last night and I'm kind of regretting that decision. None of the meds take away that rolling pain though.

If you want it bad enough. I never thought I could do it but I focused on the light at the end of the tunnel, which got bigger every day. Good luck 👍

I've been on my pre-op liquid diet for almost a week now and while it's not the easiest thing in the world I'm using this exact mindset. Glad to hear your surgery went well!

Question is everyone taking they’re Vitamins to prep

I started the Bariatric Advantage calcium chews last week and I tried to start the Ultra solo with Iron but it made me throw up. I ordered the chewable version which showed up yesterday and after reading on some reddit threads for Gastric Bypass I split it in half (it's a large tablet) I had half with my mid day shake and half with my 3rd shake of the day. My surgery is on the 12th, so just 2 days away :)

Hi! I am scheduled for May 20. I am 4 days into the preop liquid diet. It's a little surreal to know that everything in my life is about to change.

I'm on day 4 of my pre-op diet too but my RNY surgery is scheduled for this Thursday. It's so interesting to see how everyone has different requirements before surgery. I'm struggling today with drinking my shakes. The vanilla Bariatric Advantage just doesn't does good after 4 days and 4 shakes per day.

    Hi everyone

I am having surgery May 13. A revision sleeve. I had surgery 2016 lost 60lbs. Gain 25 back. I live in AZ and went to Mexicali MX . I checked out the hospital and had a barium swallow. The technique that was the first time did not take out the hunger hormones. He told me it was not my fault. There are two pockets that need to be trimed to correct the sleeve. I did not have to do a lot of prior testing. Xray, ekg, blood work, urine test. My insurance does not cover weight loss surgery. This surgery is higher than some places in MX but it's a nice hospital with a blood bank, ER, ICU ect. 6500.00. Anyone interested forming a Facebook group of our own set to private

Hi Lee Anne, I’d be interested in joining a group, my surgery is on the 12th and I’m in Arizona also. My insurance is covering mine so I’ll be having it in AZ.

  7. I wanted to say hello to the other two desert dwellers, I'm in Tucson and having surgery with Dr. Weiner next Thursday.

Capri, I'm sorry your sister is not being supportive. My grandma who has always been thin is not very supportive, I've come to realize with age it has more to do with her than it does with me. Good luck with your decision!
