Need help getting back on track!!! Please help
noosagirl replied to beautifult's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Just think, it is now in the past. Try and learn from the weekend, look at where you made bad choices and have a plan in place for next time. Focus on solid foods and water. As I am texting this I am also taking to myself as I had a doozy of a weekend. I am going to try and have a plan of attack for next time. Just keep trying, every mistake is a chance to learn something new. -
I was in a lot of pain in my back between my shoulder blades which hung around about 10 days. At the time I thought it was from flying and the hospital bed, so when I finally got back home I went to physiotherapist and it did nothing. I didn't realize it was gas until I looked up "back pain" in advanced search on here to see if anyone else had the same problem.

The best advice you will ever get regarding the band:
noosagirl replied to Weas123's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Is it because it dilutes stomach acid? If not why does it not help. Sorry for my ignorance I was banded 3rd Sept still haven't had a fill yet. A week and a half ago I think I got chicken stuck but it lasted nearly 3 days. I tried everything, apple cider vinegar worked the best. Does anyone know exactly why water makes it worse, i'd love to know. -
DVD's!!! Get comedy so it will lift your spirits if your feeling down.

I really feel for you. I hope everything works out for you. Please keep us all updated. Thinking of you.

I reckon get them back. Give your son lots of sugar and red cordial and keep him up late the night before you go in next and then be sickly nice to the staff. Sounds like the staff need to pull their heads out of their arses, sorry to be so crude but I just can't handle people like that. Having a two year old is good exercise, I have no kids but when friends come over with kids i'm exhausted and you do heaps around your house. Does this person want you to join the Olympic Marathon team or something. Oh and make sure if you bring your son in next time to give him something very messy and sticky to eat while your there and don't wipe his hands. HEE HEE HEE

Your band awaits you!!!

Everyone looks pregnant in baby doll tops, even girls that are size six. I think everyone has an area of their body that won't shrink as fast as they want it to, mine is my arms.

??? Quick Question????
noosagirl replied to hersheymalone's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would make sure you are well hydrated the day before surgery, so make sure you have plenty of water. -
I am a E cup now down to a DD and have no problems wearing underwire bra with the port.

Do older women lose weight slower?
noosagirl replied to Losing_It_In_Texas's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The more muscle you have the faster your metabolism. As we get older we lose muscle. So maybe focus on increasing your strength and in turn your metabolism will speed up. -
too many questions
noosagirl replied to luckytoloose's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't know if you are but also try eating every three hours to four hours. -
I am six weeks out from being banded. My port is in between bottom of my breasts where my bra sits. You can feel it and see it, but I think it looks like a bone and I don't think any one but me would ever notice it.

I got really itchy from the plaster strips and as for the stitches I just cut mine with nail sizzors as they were poking out. Hope this helps -
A Different Sort of Question
noosagirl replied to salome000's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think that change of any kind, whether good or bad is really uncomfortable. I can fully understand where your coming from. Maybe keep a journal to write down your thoughts so you are fully aware of them and see if they are rational. -
Longterm nutrition and health with a band
noosagirl replied to Cedar Brett's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
You need to see a bariatric surgeon first of all. Your health, physically and emotionally are the most important things in life. Maybe email the surgeon with your problems first. Hope everything works out for you! -
what if i decided too lose weight first?
noosagirl replied to CANDi3CoRn19's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
1. Make sure you have enough protein. 2. Weight training, the more muscle you have the faster your metabolism. 3. Eat lots of vegies and some fruit 4. OPTIFAST is great balanced meal replacement -
My husband does not find me attractive! He said he would have never gone out with me if he met me at this size. I am worried that when I have lost my weight and he finds me attractive again that I’ll be angry with him. He has said such mean things to me this year and I am finding it hard to get over them. I am not perfect and I have put him through a lot this year cause I’ve been suffering from depression, but I would never be mean on purpose. But the more I think about all the mean things he’s said the more agitated I become. We have only been together 7 ½ years but the last year has been terrible. His dad is really mean and negative and he is becoming just like him. I have tried to talk to my husband but he just says well your not perfect. Any advice would be great!

My husband does not find me attractive!

gentylwind and melolo and everyone else thank you for your wise advice. My husbands personality hasn't changed, he has always had a mean side, he just changed his aim and it was towards me, I was blind. My whole life I have always found it hard to find peoples bad sides until it slaps me in the head and bowls me over. I have allowed myself to change a lot since I have met him. I used to be the life of the party, loud, love having people around and at the moment I am the opposite. I told my husband on the weekend that I am going to be myself again which means I may be loud, have friends around and occasionally may say the wrong thing. According to my husband I say the wrong thing a lot and he hates loud women and gets irritated when friends and family come around. So I set him straight and I am standing my ground. I keep thinking of my favorite quotes. "You only live once and if you get it right once is enough!" "You only have one life to live and you can make it chicken shit or chicken salad!" -
I am using "CICA-CARE" it is a scar treatment gel sheet. I have been using it three weeks now and I'm happy with the results so far. I don't think my scars will completely disappear but they say you get UP TO 90% improvement and I am more than happy with that. There are other brands of gel sheets just look up on the net. Hope this helps.

I was banded on 3rd Sept and my doc was super strict, he said one month liquid, one month mushies and one month soft food and I stayed in hospital for two nights and he wanted me to stay three cause I was by myself,(I was banded in Delhi, India by Arun Prassad he is a excellent surgeon). Of corse me being me,after two weeks I had a soft serve ice-cream and then at three and a half weeks started mushies last week started on soft foods but only once a day. I am booked in to see a doc at home here this week, but don't know if I should get a fill or not.

They say stress makes the band tight so maybe stress on the body is the same. PS You must be very fit cause pianos are bloody heavy!
