  1. I HATE PMS lol. About a week before I start ,I typically gain about 4 pounds and don't lose it again until about a day after I start ,I hate it and on top of that I crave salty stuff. Ugh. Do any of you have suggestions on how you deal with the pms weight gain and cravings? Thank you !
  2. I'd say you're right where you're supposed to be .Some people gain a little weight after surgery. I'd say you're doing well.
  3. This is the way my Doctor did it too ..he just spoke around and got it on the first try. How did it go ?
  4. For me ,I felt restriction right away but I think it's because right before I had my fill,I felt pretty much no restriction .
  5. Great post !! I look forward to seeing that as well! I'm also a Notorious November :yikes:!
  6. It wasn't huge but bigger than normal but trust me ,you won't really feel it. :yikes: Best of luck to you!
  7. That's awesome!!! That's who did my surgery. I went through the same program !
  8. This happened to me too and it's normal :yikes:.
  9. I think it varies for everyone. Mine is a few inches below my right breast.I can actually feel it.
  10. You probably received my message already. I have come to realize,I dislike Winter. lol
  11. First of all ,thank you to those who supported me the day before I went in for my first fill. I was so upset because I hadn't lost any weight for most of December. The good news is ,I went in to have my fill (they put in 2ml) and I had not gained any way,I was so relieved. I managed to maintain my weight in the month of December. The fill was relatively painless and I can certainly tell a difference and if I don't slow down ,OWWY lol. I'm back to losing weight and I feel so much better. Thank you for your support. I'm kind of going nuts lately because I'm so use to going outside and walking on my lunch break but haven't been able to due to this brutal cold air we've had that's moved in so I'm going to start going to the gym (even though I'm not really a gym person lol). ((((hugs)))):yikes:
  12. I wish the same thing for myself.
  13. Hi everyone, I have my first fill tomorrow. I was wondering what can I expect and a couple of days after? Thank you.
  14. At this point,I'd settle for ANY restriction. It almost feels like there's nothing there ,except that I know there is ,considering I still feel "tight" in the morning .
  15. Thank you for replying!! I guess I am just so hard on myself when it comes to my weight and progress in general.
  16. Hi Scardycat, Thank you SO MUCH for your response!! It definitely helps. I just feel like crap this past month. I feel like I've gotten nowhere. It really helps to know other people have been there!! THANK YOU!!!
  17. Hi everyone, I've had a tough last few weeks and I haven't come to the forums because I kind of feel like I'm the only one going through this 2 months post op. I had my one month follow up on December 5th everything was great and the PA told me that I may start to feel hungrier soon and that was normal since I haven't had a fill yet. My Doctor does not do a fill until 2 months post op. The rest of December was bad. I have lost and gained the same 3 pounds. I'm so frustrated. I have my first fill (FINALLY) tomorrow morning. I'm afraid their going to give me a hard time about not really losing any weight this month. The dietitian told me in December that if I come in without gaining any weight then I've been successful but frankly ,I don't feel it. I HATE being hungry and just about the whole month of December,I have felt like I've had no restriction. I feel like a failure ,even though technically I've only gained a pound or so ,STILL. I really need some support ,I hope I don't get in tomorrow and get a lecture.
  18. Thank you so much for your response. I've still not heard back from the nurse. I called Monday to see about getting in sooner,so i'm thinking she is waiting to consult with the Doctor. I've been kind of bummed the last 2 days because I was feeling so in control these last weeks and then all of a sudden this happens. Your reply has helped . Thank you !
  19. My question is this .. Is it normal to not feel like you have any restriction at times ,if you've never had a fill? I put a call into my surgeons office to see if maybe they could move my fill appt to December instead of January. I'll let you know what they say  .
  20. Thank you for your respone,Jenny! It really helps to have the encouragement!! I'm trying to stay postive,I have to remind myself that is is just a minor set back but I find that even when I gain a pound back,I freak out.
  21. Hi everyone, Not sure what happened this weekend but my what a difference. I had my 1 month post op last Friday and everything was perfectly fine. She told me that even though my first fill isn't until January 8th,if I feel the need to have the fill done sooner to call. Well not sure why or how this happened but by Saturday I noticed a big difference in my appetite and Sudnay ,I noticed I was looking for more food and I had hardly ANY restriction . I guess this is a major sign ,eh ? I felt discouraged (again) when I stepped on the scale this morning and it went up a pound and a half and i'm SURE it's because of this weekend. UGH!
  22. Hi Everyone, Has anyone tried to follow the South Beach diet after WLS? This is what i've most had success with (as far as losing weight) and wasn't sure if anyone else tried this after surgery and had success. Thanks!
  23. I just thought of something else. Maybe you're actually just really thirsty. Have you increased your exercise lately ?That might be the cause of you being hungrier as well. Another thing that triggers binge eating for me ,is when i'm really tired.
  24. Hi Mim, I think you're just ready for your first fill, that's all  . I was banded on the Nov. 3rd so i'm right there with you. Occassionaly I will feel all of a suddent really hungry and then i'm back to being fine again. I think after you have your fill, you'll feel better. Congrats on the 23 pounds .
  25. Hang in there !! Don't beat yourself up. If I remember there was a while there when you weren't able to eat much at all, right? I think once your body felt it was safe to eat,it gave you the urge to do so which in my opinion ,I would think would be normal. Try not to feel discouraged, you will get back on track ! ((((HUGS))))
