  1. Hi Roxy,

    How have you been?

  2. This is a HUGE fear of mine. I'm always worried about eating too much ,too little etc. I need to stop worrying ,just not sure how lol.

Trying to not be bummed out!

I have no idea why they wait this long. I'm curious if there is anyone else out there that's had a similar experiance.

Trying to not be bummed out!

Thank you for the encouragement.I'm trying so hard to not be discouraged. Did you ever remember feeling that a few weeks after your surgery that sometimes it felt really tight when you were eating and other times you felt as if you had nothing done ? I'm just trying to figure out why the change in sensations. Sometimes it's uncomfortable. Then it goes away.
  5. I noticed mine stings a little also .That's interesting that you say that. I wonder why it feels that way.
  6. Mine is on my right side ...about 5 inches from my chest area. I can feel mine too. Weird .
  7. Hi Everyone, I was just curious about something. Today I woke up feeling as if my chest was really"tight" which I assume is actually my stomach feeling that way but i've noticed my stomach sort of feels like I have a lot of acid rolling around in there and just basically a bloated (not so good )feeling and when I eat,I notice it more. Anyone experiance this? I've been eating basically the same things all the time so I can't imagine it has anything to do with the food?? Any thoughts?

    Girgling(sp) stomach??

Thank you for responding. Sometimes I feel paranoid because i'm afraid something's going to happen with the band.

    Girgling(sp) stomach??

Thank you for your response. I just thought it was strange because i've not done anything different but yet i'm not feeling so swell today and it doesn't feel like a "virus" kind of thing. Kind of hard to explain.
  10. Hi & Congrats !! My Doc also says about 60 gram a Protein a day.
  11. Did any of your Doctor's talk about calories? I've never heard my providers talk about amount of calories after the surgery and i've been curious about that? Wouldn't there still be a certain amount needed for nutrition or do things work differently for us now?
  12. Hi Everyone, Has anyone else noticed the delay in getting responses from the website? I've posted a few times over the last week and i'm just now getting the responses. Sorry to anyone who I didn't respond to,there must have been a glitch somewhere.
  13. Hi All, I stepped on the scale this morning and I have gained 1.5 pounds. I don't get it . I'm following the lists of foods that i'm supposed to eat. I drink water all day and have started exercising. Help !! What could be going on ?
  14. Hi Everyone, I have not lost 40 pounds since my surgery on November 3rd. The weight loss ticker was meant to measure my weight loss before I had the surgery as well. I had actually lost 30 pounds prior to the surgery and 10 pounds lost since the surgery . I update my weight loss to show what I have lost since the surgery only : ). Sorry for the confusion,I do however wish I had lost 40 pounds since the 3rd but I suspect that would not be good lol.
  15. CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!! You will do great!!!!!!

    What am I doing wrong?

Thank you for the encouraging email. I really appreciate it! I tend to be one of those that expects a lot of results right away lol.I get sort of inpatient but I am on stage 3 right now and I feel rather comfortable. I don't eat anything that's not on my list. I'll be glad when I have my first fill. The nurse thought that I had a 3cc pre-filled band (does that sound right)? I've been exercising every day and I really love it,I feel already physically better. I have noticed that I even look at food differently and I look forward to eating. Since I don't have the junk food like I use to,veggies, fish etc taste so much better than they did before.

    What am I doing wrong?

Hi Roxy :cursing: !! It's nice to know that you can relate also and we were even banded the same day !! I think I will follow that same suggestion,I think I will stop weighing myself everyday. I tend to get obsessive with the scale lol. It's nice to meet you and let me know how your first fill goes:) . I'm not sure why they are waiting to do mine in January but it seems all the Doctors are different. Good luck to you also!!
  18. My suggestion would be to walk on your lunch break. You will feel so much better. I understand perfectly about being busy.I too am married,I have kids,I have an hour commute to work and I go to school part time so I TOTALLY understand how hectic things can be but I will tell you what was told to me by friends/Doctors etc,you have to make time for yourself. Walking is a wonderful way to decompress and lose the weight at the same time. My other suggestion would be to talk to the Doctor ,I would think after having fills that you shouldn't be able to eat anything you want, from what i've heard anyways. I myself will not have my first fill until January 8th. My other suggestion would be to follow the nutrition guidelines and suggested foods only. I've eaten only what's on my list. Just remember ,this is your journey,do this for yourself. If for some reason you can't walk on your lunch break ,maybe get up a few minutes before you normally do and go out for a quick walk or invest in a tread mill. Good luck ,you can do it .

    What am I doing wrong?

Oh gosh,I actually didn't lose 40 pounds in the last weeks ,this is since I started the Bariatric program which is April of 2008,I've lost 10 pounds since the surgery (although it would be GREAT to lose that much lol). I need to change it.
  20. This is great encouragment ,thank you  !! I definately feel better once i've exercised!!
  21. I can't wait to hear how everything went : )!
  22. Hi guys, My first op appt went great. I'm officially on Stage III diet which i'm so thankful for lol. My scars are healing fine and I feel more and more like myself (not as emotional etc). I had a long talk with the dietician and she says i'm doing great. I have lost 10 pounds since being banded on November 3rd and I lost 30 pounds since April ,so with that ,i'm very pleased. I don't have my first fill until the 2nd of January and the dietician said that even if I don't lose any more weight until January and I don't gain any weight ,then i'm still doing a good job which is great and all lol but once I start losing weight ,I tend to get a little obsessive with the scale. I haven't lost any weight since since my appt last Wednesday. Is this normal? I'm not sure why ,i'm eating well ,i've started to exercise again so why has my weight loss stopped over the last few days ? Thank you to you all!!

    What am I doing wrong?

I wondered if maybe that was it. I had my surgery on November 3rd so maybe i'm expecting too much but i'm still bummed. I started right before I had the surgery but the interesting this is ,is I have felt kind of crampy like i'm going to start again ,any day . It's strange.

    What am I doing wrong?

Thank you for your response. I'm just nervous about messing up. I worry if i'm not drinking enough ,or even eating enough.I'm still trying to figure it all out. I don't have my first fill until January 8th. Is this all normal?
