Ah thats great ur doing so well and no bruising mine was unreal but maybe cos my fat was so soft it bruised easily i didnt actually be sick but first few days i was extremely weak and nauseous i heaved a few times but didnt get sick honestly when i think of the mess i was in leaving hospital no bra lol (so they were at my knees)lol massive bottoms no make up god how scary was i lol but i just was that weak and nauseous i couldnt of cared less just cringe when i think of it now... oh i tried adding u on facebook but u must not of known who i was lol

Hi gillian when i was ffirst banded i had same thing took bout 10days to ease off i found nothing that helped had to battle it out so sorry but its well worth the bit of discomfort... Is ur belly very swollen mine was twice the size and hard as a rock along with being completely black lol took 3wks before it started going down

Hey Meg well for me chicken can get stuck alot and most meats do for me even tuna can get stuck and come back up but im defo not too tight just cant tolerate certain foods at times but i still have hardly any restriction i hope that kinda answers ur question

Ah thats great u can book that... Well i paid the 4000 package so he kinda had to leave us airport or else fork out for a dear taxi lol but i got my 4th fill on thurs and im starting to feel the band is working hopefully next fill will get me to my sweetspot im so happy to actually feel a little restriction up until now i had none so be prepared to have patience unlike me cursing this band for past month lol i was so worried it would never kick in but it has i lost the 10lbs i put on over xmas and new yr since thurs i now love this band lol so all i can say is be prepared

Oh im so sorry to read ur story... I had surgery in sept but this past 2days when im walking i have a cramp like feelining in my left leg very sore your story has just terrified me this band id defo hard work far from the easy way of losing weight its a hard long learning process

Ok i was banded in september before my first fill in october i could clearly feel my port no problem but since then no matter how hard i try i cant find or feel it my last fill was a nightmare he spent bout 20mins trying to feel for it and im not convinced he did just wondering did anyone else have this or could there be a problem im just so worried

Hi TC27 visiting times umm not 100%sure but i think if i remember they finish early enough but i think there would be no prob in ur hubby being there all day i must say i shouldnt complain the anastetic took alot out of me and i was dosin for most of the day my mum was there about a hour after surgery and i cant remember she had to go off then hunting for big bottoms for me cos she seen how swollen i was and knew i wouldnt get into my normal track bottoms but she didnt get back til near 9that night cos her and her friend had to go into brussels and do a search for them and it wasnt a easy task lol but they had to leave within a few mins lights and everything was off i can remember thinking damm its early for lights out... And to everyone i would suggest getting nurofen melts for pain relief cos those disolvable ones they give u are discusting and after op u may not be up to battling that horrid stuff down the nurofen melts are just great and handy after being banded as they just melt on ur tongue

Just want to let u know the fills on youtube are horrific and nothing like fills with dr chris they really dont hurt same as the injections u give urself for 5 days if u do them really slowly i was just afraid to jab them in haha trust me u wont feel them if i could do them myself anyone can cos i get physicaly sick when it comes to needles and faint lol if they were bad i would say but their nothing and tiny needles so please dont worry bout them and scribe a fill the same as them so dont panic girlies

Hi TC27 yeah u get to keep ur knickers on thank god it was first question i asked i was chatting to another girl who got banded by a different surgeon in belgium she had to take hers off and another girl woke up and they had taken them off for her and put them in a bag under her pillow well i would die but i know ur safe with dr chris i wore the biggest pair of knickers more like bloomers haha just to make sure i was well covered nothing hanging out lol

Hi gillian im banded 13wks and im close to my xmas target of 4stone just 4lbs to lose now but this last month been losing and gaining the same 5lbs but this last wk it seems to be going down thank god.... The hospital is very white inside it'l make sence when u see it and the nurses uniforms are way different than ours lol the recovery room is very big and it was full when i was there at least 12people and thats easily they seem to have alot of theatres and even the theatre is much different to the ones here i always had to climb onto a cold table but over there its like a bed with wings at the side for ur arms and legs im rambling now lol but i found it different i was in a room with a old belgium woman and some other belgium woman who was only in for few hrs i was disappointed cos i heard of so many banders being in same room and having great craic but i had no one to talk to except watch a old lady vomit over herself ten times a day

Hey gillian i know i went to theatre around 9or just before and i know i woke in recovery around half12 if thats any good i arrived at hospital at 6.45am registered at check in oh i think u should take ur passport to hospital they ask for it i didnt have mine lol went up to ward and nurse asked alot of questions was gave my gown and sexy stockings and put them on lol then i had ecg done and frederick came in asked some questions he said he didnt know when id be called for surgery but then getting my bloods done another nurse came in with drip so i only had one needle thank god cos im terrified of them so as that was bein done they put my hair net on an to my suprise i was away to theatre they take u down in bed i was left in hall outside theatre for bout 20mins met dr chris then i got on to thetre bed in hall wheeled into theatre and strapped down all hooked up to monitors and then knocked out hope that helps lol bit long i know

Hi mmm if ur booking direct with dr chris i would mail frederik again and ask him for ur date and if u want it soon make sure u ask for as soon a date as possible which is usually 4to5wks but put the pressure on and dont be afraid to mail him cos sometimes he forgets or puts it on the long finger cos nothing worse than waiting on mail i tortured him with mails he knows to reply to me asap now lol

Hi tropical lagoon i didnt do the pre op diet at all and alot of the other girls didnt either the day before the op i had choc ice cream burger and chips a moro etc i wouldnt worry too much about it dr chris has never turned away a patient once their there with a fatty liver... and if i had to do it again id stil enjoy my xmas partys and grub cos it'l be the final time u'l be able to gulp it down so really enjoy ur drink and partys

Hi i was banded on 5th september have 5.75mls fill and a 10ml band have lost 49lbs since the op but have NO restriction at all have been losing and gaining the same 5lbs for 3wks now im so disappointed having no restriction

Hi there i had my 3rd fill yesterday so now have 5.75mls in 10ml band i like u feel no restriction i dont think and i also should be on liquids til tomorro but i was so hungry i ate can anyone tell me why we have to stay on liquids for 2days after a fill and have i done damage by eating? As for crutons im not sure i get the stuck feeling with tiny amounts of certain foods like chicken unless its cold chunks of chicken this band takes a lot of work and constant research and learning i knew it wasnt gona be easy but didnt know it would be so confusing either

Em as for the cravings tanya i stil get them the odd time im not afraid of being sick just i know that the shit isnt worth it cos im so happy im losing the weight junk food just isnt worth it an food is no longer my priority id never even think about buying the junk now but if someone has it il have a nibble if i feel like it if u deprived urself completely u'd end up on a binge... Hey girls well my belly is is getting wrinkly my boobs are heading south and disappearing so il defo need a nip and tuck its not the best look for a 25yr old lol but im focusing on getting the weight off first then il worry bout my skin.... Umm being honest wishfull all i was eating in a day was a pack of noodles and a bit of breaded cod in a day but if i was out the wkend id have a curry chip or whatever not gona deprive myself but the past 10days i have beein eating more but il be on liquids now for 2days so il go back to being well behaved all i can think of is my xmas target... i got .75mls today so have a total of 5.75mls took him ages to find my port i would i would of liked at least a ml but i trust him didnt want to ask for more incase i got overfilled and i know once u hit 5mls they usually just give fills of .5ml so suppose im lucky

They usually ask how ur finding the band if ur eating alot and if u feel any restriction etc etc then they decide how much they give u i dont ask for more than what they decide cos im terrified of a overfill but some people do ask for more i have 5mls at the min so id say i might just get a ml tomorro cos they say from around 5mls its very easy to get a overfill half a ml at this stage can make all the difference and dont worry bout askin questions im glad to help i was asking them myself a few months ago as for the results im thrilled but the past 2wks have been the hardest so far i could eat for ireland before that my wilpower stopped me from eating
